The service we received was impeccable & our Gauchos were Tyler, Devon, & Tim, all of whom were very friendly, engaging, & informative. We recently went to Rodizio Grill for my dad's birthday and had such a fun experience. I loved the salad bar--ate my weight in the sweet, juicy, perfectly caramelized pineapple--and while I was a little bummed there wasn't any seafood this time, the garlic steak was incredible: tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned with a rich garlicky punch. The staff made the evening extra special by singing to my shy dad and bringing him a gigantic bowl of ice cream on the house. It was a Friday night and it was packed! The salad bar had 42 items and delicious pickings from ceviche to crispy polenta and seafood salad! It would have been enough to have the salad bar only but we wanted the "whole experience". The gaucho servers were excellent and quick to come and fill our plates with Parmesan chicken, chicken hearts, sirloin steak, jalapeño steak, Parmesan steak, honey ham, chili grilled pineapple, honey pineapple, and so on ... We dined here to celebrate a birthday. It was my first experience at a Brazilian steakhouse. It is essentially AYCE meat with a salad bar (additional price). I have no comparisons or expectations, but based on my experience here, I most likely will not return. It was my fiance's birthday, so we made a reservation along with a message stating the celebratory occasion. Our server was a young female. She explained the rules for us, but spoke very quickly despite us asking her to repeat. It was rushed, impersonable, and overwhelming. Maybe because it was a somewhat busy night? We opted to do the AYCE salad bar on top. The meat is served by several servers. They come to your table and ask if you want a piece. There is a wide selection of meats available, including but not limited to beef, pork, chicken, and lamb. To be honest, most of the meats were very salty with some being more than others. The salt ruined the experience, but luckily the salad bar helped to balance the meal. They have a large variety of options to grab at the salad station, which also includes other hot foods. It gives a nice break if you are tired of eating meat. Throughout the meal we witnessed several tables getting a birthday celebration from the staff. We were also expecting one for ourselves. However, when it came to us getting the bill we never received one. Our server looks at the note on our reservation and publicly remarks, "Oh...." It was evident that she had forgotten. Not what we customers wanted to see or hear. That definitely dropped our experience and the credibility that this establishment is attempting to perceive. Despite all of this, I want to give a huge shoutout to Noah and Elijah. Noah was a server bringing us some meat. He was super friendly, nice, accommodating, and funny. He always remembered my mother wanted a "VERY small piece" and made her laugh. Elijah did not serve us, but I watched how hard he worked. He cleared and set tables very quickly and efficiently. He moved every plate and tableware perfectly aligned and I saw he had great attention to detail. Having an all inclusive price lets you really focus on the taste of the food, from everything at the salad bar to assorted chicken, tri tip, pork, and sirloins they offer. My personal favorites were the tri tip and pork shoulder, although it could be because those were the ones I got that were still fresh and warm. I was a bit disappointed to see that they charged for each refill of a drink without telling us, not what you would expect for their pricing style. We came here to celebrate a birthday and what a mistake! We were happy to see that they were participating in Restaurant Week as well. Although the gauchos serving meats were legitimately busy for a hectic Saturday service, our server pretty much could not do much right except keep offering to refill our water glass. I would give specifics over the course of the meal except they are too numerous to list here. Each time one occurred, we tried to overlook it but then she would do something else. If you know how this place works, there are several types of meats on a skewer that pass by each table for service. We asked for the select few ones we prefer and literally waited the whole meal service before finally getting the one we asked for to come by. I asked if I could just get our free desserts for the Restaurant Week meals in a box. Her response was they are half portions and we cannot do that. Keep in mind that they usually give a free dessert for your birthday. Did we get any of that? No! All of a sudden, when she brought the check, she decided to give me a free piece of cake that I didn't ask for nor select. By this point, what should have been a pleasant night out to celebrate my birthday had been really spoiled by all the times of being passed by and denied proper service. Even speaking to the manager, he had not one thing to say. Makes sense since even the manager on duty has zero customer relations or service recovery knowledge. We did not yell nor make a scene. Moral of the story: take your hard earned money and spend it at any of the other 200 restaurants participating in Restaurant Week and don't ruin your birthday by patronizing this place. We came here for our anniversary and I indicated that on our reservation, but no one said a word. Not sure why it's on the registration form if they're not going to even mention it. We've eaten at one of the other Brazilian steakhouses in the metro area before, so the process wasn't too much of a mystery. The salad and side dish bar was excellent and its where you start your meal. Be careful NOT to load up on all that, so you'll have room for the meat. I'm sure they would prefer that you eat more salad, but try to resist. All the meats (beef, pork, chicken, fish) roam the dining area and is portioned out by the servers. We tried several cuts of beef, fish and some pork sausage and ham. They also have big skewers of grilled glazed pineapple, which was very good. One of the varieties of beef (tenderloin?) was very tasty, but a little tough. The sirloin was very tender, but wasn't very savory. The fish (mahi mahi) was tasty, but "fishy" according to my wife. The ham was excellent and the pork sausage was just okay. We didn't try any of the chicken since we eat a lot of chicken at home ($). They have a full compliment of drinks as well. Service was pretty good, although it seemed scripted at times. Again, no mention of the occasion. I've taken groups to this place twice now. The first time everyone had a great time. Service was brisk and place inviting and fun, the drinks flowed and the food very tasty. I think everybody liked the garlic steak the best. The second time unfortunately was not so good. The service was very slow. At one point I had to get up and start asking the servers to come over and serve our table because they had been away for so long. My guests were getting hungry. The drinks did not come until near the middle of the meal or even later. That was perhaps one of the more frustrating parts of the whole evening. Very large buffet which they can continue to restock throughout the entire time we were there. Also, the gentleman serving meat came around constantly. Every time we come here, I always tell myself I'm going to get less at the salad bar so that I have room for all the meat. Once again that did not happen. This place has a nice atmosphere with lots of wood and dividers of frosted glass with pictures etched on. There's a bar in the front with seating at the bar and a few tables. There is also a patio outside, but I don't know if that's used. This is a Brazilian steakhouse with a large salad bar. You can pay for just the salad bar, or the salad bar with the all you can eat meat served by "gauchos." When you're seated you receive a wooden block. One side is red one side is green - - if you would like the person serving meat to stop at your table, you make sure the green side is up. If you want them to pass you by you put up the red side. When you are done, you lie the block on its side. The salad bar is really, really good with lots of choices. There is a regular salad with toppings, but there are also a variety of pre-made salads like ceviche, grapes with blue cheese and walnuts, and spicy chicken salad. There is a hot bar to the side. We were there during brunch hours so there were some breakfast items included candy bacon which was delicious. It also had mashed potatoes and beef stroganoff - - I swear this is the best beef stroganoff ever. There are also delicious puffy Brazilian cheese bread. Then while you were at your table, someone comes to your table with different meats on a long skewer. You have it plate with small tongs and he will slice off the amount of meat you want onto your plate. When we were there, there were three people bringing out the meat skewers. While we were there, the gauchos served tri-tip, garlic sirloin, garlic parmesan beef, sausages, bacon-wrapped chicken, sweet and spicy chicken, chicken hearts, glazed ham, and grilled pineapple. Everything is so good, especially when you top it with the chimichurri that's available on the salad bar. I don't know how authentic the food is here, but I do know that I really like it. Sun 12/1/24: I should have left 3 stars if it was just based off of our initial experience walking in...however, the food was delicious, my drink was yummy, and all the meat guys were energetic and cool (which I'll come back to) ... When we walked in, it was a little chilly and pretty quiet (while it was about 3:30 on a Sunday so only a third of the restaurant was occupied and the bar area). I was pretty upset that we stood at the front and didn't get greeted for over 3 minutes. Not by the bartender, other servers, nor the host. Had we not wanted to eat there really bad, I might have walked out upset. Especially because I saw the host lean out from the kitchen to peak up to the front and then proceeded to keep doing whatever she was doing for another minute. Neither here nor there, it's whatever. But I wasn't feeling very valued as a patron that day and I've worked in food+beverage for about 7 years including management so I'm pretty familiar. Transitioning to the dining experience, Brielle was sweet but she needs to improve her table maintenance and also a little better communication. She walked past our table many times and most of them, we had to say her name to get checked in on. My table maintenance comment had to do with the fact that we had empty or picked over plates that were either stacked or pushed to edge of table closest to walkway and she went by atleast 3x without picking them up until I finally got her attention to do so. There were only like 2 or 3 plates that could have been picked up (so not THAT many), but when you're at a table for two, the table can get pretty full, pretty fast... As we were nearing the end of our meal and getting pretty full... leads me to my shoutout, Josh was awesome, he noticed we were waiting for something in particular after a few minutes of passing on several meats so he asked us, then went to the kitchen, and let them know so the next person with that meat came almost directly to our table. Great job! Also, Deyon was nice as well. I can't remember any other of the guys names but they were all a pleasure. Overall, I will conclude it was a good experience. We forget how these places work and have decided they are not for us in the future. You make a reservation, but you are never seated close to that time. Even though the place is clearly over 50% empty. They try to manage seating to get the most people in. We were finally seated in an empty area in the corner. Slowly they added more people. Gauchos did not come into that area as they were always focused on a table of 10 people. Until we mentioned this to our waitress. They say all you can eat but the meats show up very slowly, so you fill up on salad and bread. This is normal too. Rodizio has historically been a go-to birthday spot for my husband/in-laws and after not having been in a while, I was excited to go the other night. However, it was a little disappointing. Overall the sides were good, and I got my favorite pao de queijo and caramelized bananas with no complaints. However, I'm sad to say I left a lot of meat on my plate. I had several beef cuts come over cooked, and even when more rare pieces came around, all the meat was still very tough. The various chicken, ham and sausage were good and the pineapple remained a family favorite, but those still only make up half the assortment of meats/options. Also, for some reason we kept getting the tail end of the skewers that were being walked around (maybe just our table location?) and frequently had to ask for the wait staff to come back around with a fresh cut, which didn't always happen.
