I love this place! Been coming here for 30 years. Their club sandwich is one of the best I have had. Not sure if it is the Mayo and thick cut bacon they put on it, but as you can see from the picture, I ate half of the meal before I remembered to take a picture. Been coming here more lately. Next time we're posting new menu pictures because all the menu photos on here are old. We only come for lunch. Maybe some day we'll drive to clovis for breakfast. On the painted window signs they have red baseball caps that say "MBGA" for make breakfast great again. We're sure their breakfasts are great. Usually there are two waitresses there at lunch. When it gets really busy they get help from someone with bussing tables. It can be a wait for food when they're busy. It ain't fast food people, but even the corporate junk food places aren't fast anymore. Our favorite lunch item? It's a grilled turkey with bacon, cheese and tomato sandwich. Choice of bread and side. It includes a side so the menu item is $4 more than their other sandwiches that come ala carte. We get fries which are steak fry style and quite good. Been to this place a few times, and while I love supporting local small businesses, this last time will probably be our last. The food prices have gotten a bit ridiculous at 16-18 dollars a plate and iced tea costing 4 dollars. The portions are good, but this isn't a gourmet meal we are talking about. A couple should be able to have breakfast for less than 50 bucks, which is what ours cost us. As someone else noted, please do away with all of the silly political stuff. It's not a good look and off-putting to those of us who don't want to see it or simply don't agree with the message. Why is a 10 year old boy, the son of an employee, walking around bussing tables wearing a shirt that essentially is saying "F a politician." Out of town and decided to check out this lil hole in the wall in Downtown Clovis after walking the Farmers Market on Friday night. They serve up BIG servings (at least what we ordered). Home cooked GOODNESS!!! I ordered the Ortega Omelette with extra crispy hashbrowns and they put in whole Ortega chillies not chopped!!! Hubby ordered the 2 eggs & 2 stack pancakes combo. Have been here several times and this last Sunday would be our last time. The food is good but the last 3-4 times we have come we have had to wait at LEAST 15 minutes before even getting drinks. Sunday breakfast is a regular thing with my family and we're always looking for good places to go. My daughter recommended Rodeo coffee shop because she had been there before and enjoyed their food. We finally got around to trying it today and we're so glad we did! Service is very friendly even when it's super busy , sometimes you have to be patient because they're doing their best to help everybody have a good meal. The food is phenomenal and they give you more than enough to eat. I had pork chops that were probably close to the best I've ever eaten and their country potatoes are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Pancakes are delicious as well. The bacon is nice and smokey just how I like it and the eggs were cooked just right. So, to start off when we entered there wasn't a mask in sight and they were serving for dine in even though that's against state guidelines right now. I was willing to put this aside because I understand that small businesses are trying to stay afloat. I get it. The staff was very kind upon arrival and the food was ready quickly for takeout. This aside, the food is not good. We got the corned beef hash and country fried steak. The country fried steak was alright, the gravy was very floury and needed more flavor. The corned beef was clearly canned and soggy. The home fries had no seasoning and were undercooked... I will say the biscuit was the only thing that was actually quite good. How do I start with this review, except by stating stay away from this breakfast restaurant at all costs. As someone who served breakfast at a mom and pop restaurant for 4 years in a small town I figured this would be the best place to go, however after the experience we had and the cost just save yourself the time and energy go to JUST JO's. You'll get quality and save money as breakfast for 2 is around 30.00 2 sodas a chicken sandwich and an omlette for 48.00. 2 sodas were 10.00 and fries to add to the sandwich 5.00 and 20.00 for an omlette. I realize inflation is bad, but the food was literally cold with no flavor the waitress helped us from across the room asking if we needed anything and even for a box. My chicken sandwich had a soggy bun that was falling apart, and I had no idea why I had no condiments on it. The chili Verde omelette was anything but with overcooked Pork and no flavor. The biscuits and Gravy was something I wouldn't even serve to someone in a retirement home. I can make better homemade gravy at home from a package. It's now got a ton of Let's Go Brandon stuff, and it has red hats for sale that say Make Breakfast Great Again.
