We bought 2 used cars just a few weeks apart (one for me, one for my son), and the experiences at the 2 different dealerships could not have been more different. We will come back to Rod Baker Ford again and highly recommend this dealership. We worked with Ryan in sales and Steve in finance. Both were very personable, answered questions, and explained everything very thoroughly. We never felt pushed, and we sincerely appreciate how careful Steve was when explaining every aspect of the financing, especially because at the other shifty dealership, that other finance person tried to cheat us in multiple ways so we had to triple check the math and have inflated charges removed. The interest rate we were given at Rod Baker Ford was 4 points lower than what the other dealership gave us, coming from the same lender and using the same credit score and similar financed amount. Car buying can be a very stressful situation since it is such a huge purchase, and you really want to buy from people who are trustworthy. Let me start by saying that once you're at the dealership for maintenance, the staff is friendly and courteous (my reason for the 2 stars). With that being said, when you first call to make an appointment, the voice on the other end seems annoyed that you're calling to ask questions about the maintenance that your car needs. Also, the trunk door handle on my 2013 Ford escape keeps breaking off. I found out there was a recall (the screw was too short on the inside of the handle). The first time I took it in, they claimed to have fixed it. About 2 weeks later, it broke off again....same problem. I took it in again and they claimed to have fixed the problem once again. This time, about a week after them having "fixed it" it broke off again! I'm a bit frustrated, to say the least. Not sure if I'll be going back to them for my maintenance anymore. Probably won't even get my oil changes done with them. I'll probably find something better at a lower price elsewhere....the hunt begins! read more

I've been bringing my previous car here for service since a falling out w/my previous Ford dealer a couple years ago. I knew from the service they provided me that I would buy my next car here. I was there in April having my car serviced. I was interested in upgrading to a new vehicle and met a young man Matt. I explained my situation and he spent the time to work up a deal. I couldn't afford the car but was very impressed w/the time he put in & his great attitude. This November I returned once again received the same treatment from everyone I met. Matt once again put together another deal for me. Due to personal circumstances my wife is unable to accompany me when I purchase a vehicle. They gave me the time to discuss things privately w/my wife over the phone. I didn't feel pressured to hurry up and make a decision. No problems. I do a large amount of business in the service department. I am very mechanically inclined and know vehicles inside and out so I understand what is going on and what needs to be done. Unlike some other posters I see here like whining little babies who need to learn how to operate in the real world. Mechanical systems are not perfect. Things break, wear out, or may have flaws. I have not has a perfect vehicle yet. I rely on this service department to do what needs to be done to keep 14 of my vehicles in top shape. So far so good. Rod Baker service has always explained what was needed and I have never been in the dark. Some service can be complex puzzles without clear answers. On September 8th, 2020 we purchased a 2012 Chevy Equinox from Rod Baker Ford. There was no warranty with this purchase (I was made aware of this prior to taking delivery of the vehicle). One week after delivery of the vehicle, it developed a major leak from the water pump. We contacted Rod Baker Ford and they offered to pay to have it towed in. Rod Baker Ford then replaced the defective water pump at no charge and put us back on the road within 1 day. Taking care of the customer is what Rod Baker Ford does. Sales staff is a bunch of bad dudes and dudettes. Don't call these mofos, they will never get off your back, they keep on harassing the customer for a sale, even if you don't reply. They don't give up. It must take a mindless, stupid person to conduct these types of sales activities, when customers reject them outright. Best to go to the Ford dealers that don't use these high pressure techniques. These people are using the sales techniques of the 1970's, ughh. read more

There service department is very busy but I have never had an issue getting serviced promptly. They also have a Quicklane shop a few miles away which is great for oil changes.
