Consider this a 0 star review since 1 star is the least I can use. I also knew this place was awful from multiple anecdotal accounts just from people I knew. Looking at recent reviews, it appears a number of people have had experiences that were similarly horrible. Two years ago, I brought in an older vehicle, a Mercury, with a fuel leak. I usually avoid going to dealerships because my experiences have been less than favorable on average, and my mechanic is trustworthy and fast, but eight miles away. Since I live in a neighborhood that is literally across the street from this place, I thought it worth a try. Watch out for the diagnostic fee! They won't even look at your vehicle unless you give them some money first. I recall it being in the area of $200, but I still thought it worth rolling the dice for the convenience. It turned out to need a new fuel tank. That was $1800. I paid it, and, within the last few months, the vehicle developed another fuel leak. When you fill it up at the gas pump, just as the pump clicks off, you get a little puddle under the fill port. So I took it back to Rod Baker Ford. It had been two years since Rod Baker Ford had replaced the fuel tank and necessary ancillaries. Since this is a 0 star review, you can guess that they did not fix my vehicle, They did, however, try to hit me with an alignment not thirty seconds after bringing it into the service bay. Further, they claim they were not able to "recreate the problem," though there are few pumps on the grounds and a gas station half a block away. The contact Vince claimed some pressure test or other flapdoodle, and said they could only investigate further. While they weren't certain they could fix the problem, it would cost $700 to start with. (!) Of course I told them that was lunacy and picked the vehicle up the next morning. It still leaks fuel when you fill it up. Not only that, there was paperwork on the passenger seat claiming that the same investigative measures were necessary, but this time with a quote of $390. Which is it? I immediately called Vince demanding an explanation, but he had none other than "I forgot." The last straw was: THEY UNPLUGGED MY DASH CAM. It was still unplugged when I retrieved the vehicle. They claimed it is for privacy purposes, but I've seen too many dash cam videos of car porters abusing customers' vehicles to believe that story. And hey, you guys? What happened to leaving things like you found them? Rod Baker Ford's service department is deplorable. Their attitude towards customers without new vehicles can only be described as perfunctory, exerting the minimum effort. Such courtesy as they are willing to extend to people like myself who can't afford a new car is only going through the motions. Their efforts at resolving my complaints were similarly weak. I asked how that is so much, especially with a warranty, and I was told to read the fine print... I 100% feel like they were trying to take advantage of me. There is alot of people who may say good or bad, so ill just give you the exact details of my experience and you be the judge of it: I went for a coolant leak, which was obvious, pointing out to them the exact location where it was dripping, telling them to look and do it thru warranty, they came out saying it is not covered because it is just a hose and were charging me 550 for a hose replacement mind you on top of the coolant system. i checked that hose was completely dry (no idea how they did a pressure check and saw coolant leaking and then it got dried in a matter of minutes), i told them no it is not that and i need to talk to warranty. they still charged me 100 for diagnostic even thought i pointed what i need and didnt need their diagnostic. At the same appt i asked them to do a differential fluid change they said 198$ when done it turned into 245 guving me the BS that they need to use different fluid and this is why it is more. Any way who handled it all is Patrick shampine, so if you have alot of $ to throw away go see them. read more

Every time I got in my vehicle I had water on driver side carpet again after three visits within two weeks. In the end I was offered a few free oil changes for my inconvenience, something I do myself. What really is irksome is the vehicle is still not ready and they may not be able to get the part for a month. In the end, buy there but seek service elsewhere. Had a terrible experience here with a salesman named Joe. We went in to test drive the Mustang Mach E. The test drive was very short - basically the equivalent of once around the block. Every time I took my foot of the accelerator, the car immediately slowed to a complete stop. Joe said "That's the way all electrics work." I know that's not true, because I've driven several of them. As it turns out, that is a feature called "One Pedal Driving"; I also learned that it could be turned off. Obviously, the salesman didn't know that and acted like I didn't know what I was talking about. What a complete jerk. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

Nice customer service except having issues with the service department: 1 - Did not secure coolant hose to the heater core when the hose was replaced. I did not catch this until I got home and the coolant overflow tank was empty. 2 - Did not bleed the slave cylinder when replacing the clutch 3 - Did not put back the back top cover of the battery box when I brought in my car for the clutch replacement. 4 - Told them the dual mass pressure plate broke and needed to be replaced when I brought the car in for the clutch recall. It was an obvious loud clicking noise and the whole car was shaking at idle. They didn't listen to me and they had to drop the transmission twice and I was charged for the labor. 5 - I was leaking trans fluid out the fill port that was finger tight. read more

I flew out first class and Uberd to their dealership to give them what they were asking. Made it to Cleveland Ohio before the truck broke down I had to rent a car to make it back to Buffalo and the trucks out there for six weeks. I purchase this truck and put 300 miles on it before it needed 7K worth of repair. Dan Sexton the service manager let me know that I bought a used ra and they are not responsible. Terrible customer service. One salesman, I think his name was Anthony, don't recall, but he was rude and dismissive. I was looking for a used vehicle. And he saw someone looking at brand new trucks. He walked right over to them and didnt bother to check in with me at all. I was 99% on a vehicle. Just had a few more questions. But after that I decided to take my business elsewhere. And I'm glad I did. Found the same vehicle for $1599 less, and it had fewer miles on it. I even tried to get help from another sales associate. (No integrity here) 8/7/20 Tried making a deal at Ron Baker Ford today. I was upfront with them and told them I already made a deal for another vehicle and was going to sign and pick it up on Saturday if the truck is as describe. I told them that I really like their truck and gave them all the numbers and even gave them a snapshot of the deal. In the beginning everything seem to be fine with my salesman Anthony. I went over the details a couple times and they gave me their proposal and it seemed fair until I did the math. They were not giving me a 3.99% rate. My salesman said it was a mistake and they were going to correct it. (why didn't you correct it ASAP and get back to that person) I submitted my paperwork at 11 AM to have my credit ran. I heard back from him two hours later and explained the extra thousand dollars on my financing. He said it was probably a typo or something and that he would have a corrected. Three hours later I get a text message that some guy is buying the truck cash, they never ran my credit and that they would let me know if the truck sold. After he texted me that I told him I'm gonna pass on the truck regardless. I don't enjoy doing deals with people like that when you're spending so much money on a vehicle. I do not understand why dealerships have to make it such an agonizing process to buy a car. We work hard for our money and deserve to be treated fairly and honestly just in case Ron Baker Ford reads this I will attach the definition of integrity. Someone at the dealership may think that this is slander but I am only stating the truth! I walked into the service department today with a blown fuse. Fairly simple problem, I didn't know which fuse was blown and spent 2 hours fishing for the correct one in the 91 degree heat myself. Be very careful! I bought recently a Rav 4 HYBRID 2016 from this dealer with high price. It was a very bad experience. They sent me the title late without warranty and did not inform me there are sales tax I have to pay in addition to state tax and to title fees. I WAS OBLIGED TO PAY THE EXTRA FEES they are supposed to pay , and after getting the registration from DMV I found recently a windshield scratch that was hidden by a temporary repair. I sent them many emails and called them but no action was taken. If the issue is not resolved soon, I will be obliged to involve a third party. read more

I had my old truck serviced there for two years (that is when I moved to the area) and I never had a single issue with them. They provided me great service and explained all expenses and issues. A couple of times I had dropped off my truck the night before for it to get oil changes and tire rotations and that service took longer than expected with me not getting called until the afternoon that it was complete, but not really a big deal for me. Where they really sealed the deal with me was when I recently went into purchase a new truck. I was coming in after having two horrible experiences with salesmen at other Ford dealerships and I stopped by knowing they didn't have what I wanted, but just wanted to see what was available and what they could do to get me what I wanted. Eddie came out and greeted me and I explained that I was in the market for a new truck, but that I wouldn't be buying it that day. He said no problem and showed me all that they did have, had him and I got out on a test drive, and then came back and looked to see what he could find me. He found me the exact truck I wanted, had it there in two days, and the deal was great. Overall, a wonderful buying experience. I can't say enough about how great it was to work with a good salesman.
