Orders that were order 30mins after ours but filled first.
Briana R.

We walked in and ordered (2) to-go pizzas and garlic knots at 8:20pm. We were told it'd be about 20mins. We sat and watched other tables get their food, eat then order to go food and leave before we even got our to go order. We got our order 1 hr after placing it. Sitting at a table the whole time. They took multiple phone calls and filled those orders while we sat and watch the "to go warming box" fill up with orders. Staff was friendly and kept promising our food would be out soon...now 1hr after ordering a carry-out order we just received our food. This was my 1st time at this Rocky's location and I don't plan to return.

We went 4 times in two weeks for Togo food. We recently found this little gem from a Facebook post…read moreand now we're all addicted! M-f they have daily specials, so far we've tried the turkey and dressing, pot roast and bbq baked chicken. The chicken was gone before I got a pic the turkey was my absolute favorite. The dressing was southern and the turkey wasn't dry! I just needed some canned cranberry! They have the chili recipe for their dogs and fries down pat, the onion rings are fresh and absolutely yummy and the fries were a hit with the boys chicken sandwiches which were SO GOOD! 10/10 reccomend, we'll be back two times this week at least! The employees who take your order are also very nice! Thanks again!

Limited menu and ordered the chicken biscuit and my husband ordered the 2 eggs, hash browns burnt, bacon and toast. Coffee is good. Very clean plain build out. Nothing special but pleasant. The biscuits are good, chicken needed a little longer tone in the fryer for color. The cook did exactly eye what he asked for. My husband likes his potatoes burnt. Overall food was comparable to Cracker Barrel but not the variety. Large amount of bacon on the plate. The staff is excellent. I'd like to try lunch.

**STOP AND EAT HERE!! **…read more I NEVER leave reviews, but this place was so good that I had to take the time to write one. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredible. I got to speak with Chef Roger, and you can immediately tell that he genuinely cares about the food he makes. The way he talked about selecting the flavors and preparing the mushrooms really showed how much pride he takes in his cooking. The maître d' at the door was also named Roger, and he was just as friendly and welcoming. I had my 18-month-old daughter with me, and the entire staff treated us so well. Everyone was professional, kind, and genuinely welcoming. At one point, I walked outside with my daughter while our food was being prepared, and she grabbed the maître d' Roger's hand and just started walking around with him. That honestly says a lot about how comfortable and welcomed we felt there. **Now, the STEAK... WOW.** This was probably the best steak I have ever had. The wood-smoked grill flavor and the crust were absolutely perfect. I had the Baseball Wagyu steak, and it was SO tender. It was almost like eating a more flavorful filet. Absolutely incredible. The mushrooms were fantastic, and the mashed potatoes actually tasted freshly made -- not like that watery, sad stuff that sometimes gets served as mashed potatoes. We didn't get the bourbon mushrooms because we don't drink, but Chef Roger explained that the alcohol is actually cooked off during preparation. You could tell he really knew his food and was happy to explain everything. Honestly, if you're going to eat in **Helen, GA**, I would put this place at the top of your list. Helen itself was okay, but a lot of what we saw was more typical bar food. **This place was on another level.** The food, service, atmosphere, and hospitality were all top-tier. **Worth every single dollar.** And I want to give an extra shout-out because I had my little daughter with me, and they treated her like family. Nobody was stuck-up or pretentious. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and friendly. **Shout-out to Chef Roger, Maître d' Roger, and the guy with no hair and the blue jacket! ** Thank you guys for such an awesome experience. We absolutely loved it and will definitely be back! **If you're anywhere near Helen, GA -- STOP AND EAT HERE! You won't regret it. **

Having heard really good things about this place, I was excited to finally get to experience it. I…read moreloved the atmosphere and had a great time at the bar while waiting for the rest of our party to arrive. The bartender and drinks were amazing, and the bacon appetizer was incredible! We enjoyed the Pearberry which was light and delicious, as well as the Japanese Old Fashioned which my partner thoroughly enjoyed. Although the price for bacon seemed hefty, it's almost a slab instead of slice of bacon. It's a solid portion and very thick and deliciously coated in a sticky sweet sauce that we enjoyed. We were having a great time and were in great spirits but it took a turn once we were seated for the dining portion of the experience.. I think our experience came from the person manning the meats, who in our opinion doesn't know proper temp checks. We ordered multiple filets, ribeyes, and a tomahawk at our table of 5 and every single one was under. We asked for medium and medium rare throughout our table, but they all arrived severely underdone. The tomahawk was the biggest disappointment, when you pay a hefty price, you expect better results.. but it was raw, because rare doesn't even really describe it. We are not the type to make a fuss, so we just ate our steaks and asked for sauce to make them palatable. The flavor was there but it was very subtle, it could used a bit more seasoning. We relied heavily on the sides and our prior experience at the bar to keep spirits up. The reason this review isn't worse is because regardless of our dining experience, our bar experience was superior and I'd go back strictly for that. I would try it again to see if the cook has gotten better but not for a while.

My husband has been wanting to try this spot that opened near by us. It's been a few months since…read morethey've been open and we've heard good things about the franchise. Though hearing good things is pretty much all the good we got from this place. We ordered online for pick up. Spent over $80 for some pretty mediocre and dry food.. nothing really seem fresh but the fried rice which was reallyyy lacking. Chicken tenders and wings seem like they were cooked ahead and sauced upon ordering. Philly actually had a good amount of protein, but seem like it was preheated and again, so dry. We gave the meat to our dog because I hate wasting food. Even though I hate wasting food, we did end up throwing away the chicken sandwiches because no one wanted to finish them and my dog is actually allergic to poultry. LOL. Not to forget to mention that we ordered their "wet" lemon pepper and they were definitely not wet. We've actually had some really good wet lemon pepper before so I'm not sure what their take on it was supposed to be. "WeT bUt NoT rEaLlY.." ? Also when we picked up our order the vibe we got was not very welcoming. It wasn't busy since it was a weekday and in between lunch and dinner. The staff made it obvious they did not want to be there and it definitely showed in their food. Hate that we wasted time and money on pretty but not good food. Would have been a lot happier with Zaxbys..

Did not experience inside at all, patio seating was just right: not spacious, but comfortable. Food was better than I expected in Helen: more high-end than tourist fare. Lovely.

My wife and I visited this restaurant with high expectations, as the reviews compared to the rest…read moreof Helen's restaurants were pretty good. Our experience, however, left much to be desired. And while I am going to give an honest review, my sincere hope is that our experience was just a fluke. Upon arrival, we found a line of people waiting at the hostess stand and no one in sight to greet or welcome us. We waited 5-10 minutes before someone finally came over to acknowledge us, despite multiple employees, including the one who eventually greeted us, walking back and forth serving other tables during that time. It wasn't that they didn't see us; they simply didn't take the time to acknowledge anyone waiting. When we were finally seated, the food came out quickly. However, I'd have happily waited longer if it would have improved the food. While nothing was inherently bad, it lacked memorable flavors and finesse. The chips and queso were disappointing. The chips were greasy and more like fried pita chips and the queso was runny and lacking in flavor. The bacon smash burgers never really got smashed and had a basic, "made at home" taste that was underwhelming. One of them we took apart to find one half of a piece of bacon was all that was on it. The fries were seasoned which at first we hoped would be an exciting twist, except for the overwhelming flavor of paprika that made them too one dimensional. Despite this, we were still enjoying our night and were attempting to not be too critical of the food. Until the server asked if we wanted a box while my wife and son were still eating. (I'm a fast eater, so I had finished first.) She then came back with a box and asked if we wanted drinks to go, to which I let her know that we were still eating. She seemed frustrated by that, went to refill my drink, and upon returning placed it on the table so hard that it spilled all over my (white) pants. She then simply walked away until I stopped her, at which point she acknowledged the spill and left me to clean it up. While the manager, who I asked to speak with, did comp our meal. They all missed the point. The issue was not a free meal, but the lack of genuine care that makes food and restaurants memorable. Accidents happen, and I understand that, but how you handle them says a lot about the people and the restaurant. Unfortunately, that general lack of care seemed to carry through the entire experience, from the greeting to the food and ultimately the service. Good food takes love, passion, and an attention to detail, which unfortunately didn't seem to be present during our visit. I wish them the best and hope they continue to grow as a restaurant and improve. I am sharing this review not to criticize, but to provide honest, constructive feedback that will hopefully help the restaurant improve while also giving future guests a better understanding of what they could possibly expect when they visit. Going out to eat isn't cheap, and especially in a tourist destination like Helen, where there are so many restaurants competing for your business, knowing which ones are worth visiting and which ones might not be is important. I share this review with that in mind, so others can better weigh their options before deciding where to spend their time and money. I genuinely hope our experience was the exception rather than the rule. My goal is always to add value to both the restaurant and the guests with an honest and current review.
