My husband, son, and I stopped by yesterday while we were in town. I was exited that the had gluten free pizza. The place was clean and everyone was friendly. It gave off great mom and pop vibes. I got the white spinach gf pizza and it was delicious. They brought the amazing looking buttery garlic rolls to start. I couldn't eat them, but the other two said they were amazing. My husband had the Marsala and son had the kids spaghetti with meat sauce. Everything was devoured. I would definitely go again if I'm ever in town again. One comment I will make: I notice there was a written sign in the bathroom saying to throw your paper towels in the trash and not on the floor. Unfortunately, there's no way to keep your hands clean after washing without using the paper towel to open the doorknob. The trash is then out of reach, making the option to put it in the trash impossible if you want to keep hands clean. Which is a must for most especially before eating. The door closes immediately so you can't leave it open while you walk over to the can. I brought my used paper towel out to the table with me after because I don't know what to do with it. Maybe rethink the placement of the garbage so it is next to the door. read more

Great Italian food made by Italians! It's a family business and if you return for more good food, it's like you're part of the family.

We stopped by to split a pizza, which was good. But the tipping expectations turned us off. There were at least 2 signs requesting tip be in cash. So we attempted to put the cash tip (20%) in the tip jar at the cash register, but our waitress snagged it for herself --oh, I'll take that." Then she indicated we could put additional funds in the jar for the back staff. Then the computer display asked if we wished to tip although we already had tipped 20% in tipped cash as they had requested. Then the waitress again told us to put funds in the jar if we wished to tip the back staff, that they worked very hard. We came away concluding they apparently wanted us to tip twice, and certainly in cash. It was quite odd and we probably won't go back there. read more

I really wanted some decent Italian food and the two that I enjoyed in my twon closed around two years ago. A great shame. Hence, I drove over 20 miles to Braselton to try the Roman Oven. The owners are truly of Italian heritage, and fortunately for the rest of us, they can make a great pie. In addition to the pie I had the antipasto. Now the antipasto can take on many forms, and theirs was delicious. Likewise, I had no issues taking half of the pie home with me. I do believe the service needs improvement. Indeed, there was a help wanted sign on the door. I found the restaurant to be clean, maybe even a bit sterile, but good pizza pies. It is BYOB and there is a package store next door. read more

We have been exploring Braselton lately and came across The Roman Oven. If you live around here you know we don't have a lot of Italian restaurants so finding this was such a treat!! Usually, we make our way into Suwanee or Athens if we are feeling Italian food so this already gets extra points for being closer to us. We grabbed a pizza, salad and rolls here the other night and we loved it! Pizza was great we did pepperoni and pineapple not too greasy or too saucy it was a la Goldilocks...just right! The Cesar salad was fresh and dressing was really tasty. The rolls had excellent flavor they had butter, garlic, and were toasted to perfection who wouldn't love them?! Be careful though they are addicting!! My favorite part, of course, is that they maintain an excellent food score which you all know is super important to me. I am so stoked to go back and try their Fettuccine Alfredo! Definitely scope this place out next time you're in the area! read more

HUGE portions. Yummy food. Good service. Some girlfriends and I were really craving pasta and we trecked out to the Braselton area to check out this restaurant. We started with garlic rolls with mozzarella on top. It also comes with red sauce to dip it in which really made them tasty. We didn't know that regular rolls also came with the entrees, but we were still glad to try both of them! I got the spaghetti and meat sauce (yum!) and it came with a house salad. I opted for a Caesar salad instead. There was enough spaghetti leftover for me to have a whole second meal! And the salad was a generous portion as well. Food is outstanding but the front of the house is a total "$hit show". Do not ever call in a to go order and expect to receive your food, the people working out front can't seem to find their way to the kitchen to deliver the to go orders. When you arrive, after being told your order will be ready in 40 minutes, you are told" I'm sorry your order never made it to the kitchen and it will be another 20 minutes; can I offer you a cannoli for your trouble". Pretty good local Italian restaurant. Small place but really service. It's BYOB so my girlfriends and I brought out bottles. We had the calamari and bruschetta. Bruschetta was very good. The calimari lacked flavor. The marinara was also flat. I ordered the fra Diablo with shrimp. And asked for it with the meat sauce and the waitress said she with bring the side of the meat sauce. The pasta was overdone but sauce had a spicy kick and the addition of the meat sauce was great. Still needed my pasta el dente. I ordered here once pizza and that as I recall was not bad. You just lost a wonderful customer. We just left your restaurant and we are very angry. My husband and I shared a dinner. There was a $6 upcharge to share. When we received the smallest soup and the tiniest salad we were flabbergasted! We thought the upcharge would be because we were getting a FULL SALAD AND A FULL SOUP! We were also not given garlic rolls. We were told it was soup, salad OR garlic rolls. The menu said AND GARLIC ROLLS. We will never return to your restaurant! Convinced these reviews are fake. The staff was rude, didn't even give us silverware after asking multiple times. There was hair in my salad and waitress was unapologetic and wouldn't take it off my check until we argued with her about it. The pasta had a chemical taste and was inedible. One of us ordered the pizza and it was really good, but the rest was truly awful. I am not one to write reviews or complain but this was genuinely the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. It's been hours and I still have zero appetite despite having one bite of my dinner. You know it's bad when a hungry 15 year old won't eat it. One would think driving an hour for pizza is crazy, but when you really want great thin-crust, NY style pizza and there's none to be found where you are, you make the trek. The Roman Oven in Braselton is fantastic. The Fried Ravioli app was crispy and filled with creamy ricotta cheese. The pizza was the main star. A beautiful thing and crispy crust topped with olive oil, mozzarella, spinach, and mushrooms. Delicious and would make the drive again. read more

The Roman Oven is located in a strip mall and offers not only good pizza, but the menu is with Italian favorites, so I am confident that you should be able to find something on the menu that will interest you. There is really nothing fancy about this place, but that was fine by me. There is supposed to be nothing fancy about pizza. It is a simple food, yet pizza has become one of the most beloved food items out there. I grew up in New Jersey and I grew up around great pizza. It seemed that almost every corner in every city, town or borough had a great pizzeria on it. When I moved down south, I was saddened that great pizza was significantly harder to find. In fact, great pizza is a rarity and it seems that national pizza chains like Little Caesar's, Papa John's, Domino's, Pizza Hut, etc. are far more common than a genuinely great mom-and-pop pizzeria. So, when I find a place like the Roman Oven, it truly is a cause to celebrate (and what better way to celebrate than with a slice of pizza in my hand). Is the Roman Oven the best that I ever had? If you ask anyone in my household, the best pizza from far and wide is The Roman Oven. I'm usually a person that needs pepperoni or sausage on a pizza but with The Roman Oven, the cheese pizza is so good that's all I need. The sauce, the cheese and the dough are simply the best. Great pizza and good service. On a chilly day, the tables get drafty every time the restaurant door opens.

We never got to taste the food, we were seated for 15 minutes with a waitress eating at a table right next to us. After she ate she put her phone away and went into the kitchen never to be seen again. There were 2 other servers who never acknowledged our presence while taking care of the tables directly on either side of us. We left and learned our lesson we won't go back in there.
