He told me he had them. I asked the price and told me that too. I went into the store and asked tine cashier where they were. She looked them up on the computer and told me aisle 3. I got them and went to pay. I liked that I didn't have to wait in line. Another cashier came to the front of the store and took me to pay. There are so many advantages to going to a small hardware store versus a Home Depot. And the number one reason is the customer service. Thank you all for starting my day with a smile!

Scott and team not only know this business they are committed to serving. I've shared earlier stories and here is another. This past weekend I brought in a pair of garden shears I thought I'd lost and it turned out I left them in the garden all fall and winter. They were rusted beyond recognition and I was so embarrassed to bring them to Scott to see what was possible. Scott smiled as I showed him my buried treasure and asked if I had a few minutes to wait. With that he disappeared into his workshop with the rusted shears. Not even 10 minutes later Scott reappears with an even bigger smile. The shears are good as new and we both wish we had a before picture ( see the after picture below). So there we have it friends. Another memorable moment in my Vanderhoof Hardware journey. Thanks Scott and Thomas for all you do. Enjoy!

It's not overwhelming, and it's not bare -- it's just well-stocked with the things you actually need. Whether it's plumbing parts, paint supplies, lawn equipment, or random hardware pieces that big-box stores somehow never have in the right size, this place tends to have it. What really sets it apart is the staff. Instead of wandering around trying to decode aisle numbers, someone actually steps in and helps. And not in a pushy way -- in a knowledgeable, practical way. You explain what you're trying to fix, and they help you think it through. That kind of hands-on guidance makes a huge difference, especially for home projects that aren't straightforward. There's also something refreshing about the pace. It doesn't feel chaotic or corporate. It feels steady and reliable. You can get in, find what you need, and leave feeling confident that you bought the right thing. If you value knowledgeable help, a solid inventory, and a store that feels connected to the community rather than just operating in it, Lorden True Value Hardware delivers.
