And all I have to do is tell a sales person what I need and they immediately find it for me. They offer many personalized services, such as replacing window screens, sharpening tools, etc., that larger stores do not. I'm hoping they maintain one special section of the old Brightwood store. It was this: whenever I needed a GOOD QUALITY screw or some unusual size, I could always find it. The problem with chain stores is that items like these are made of a lower quality metal and the heads tend to strip when turned too hard. Their new location is very convenient and there's more than adequate parking. And I like the fact that, when we shop here, we're supporting a local business!

My husband most recently needed his propane tank filled, and called the store to see what they'd be willing to do for a contact-free fill. The ladies there went above and beyond, with so much empathy and understanding. I was so grateful, I cried. (Yes, pandemic life makes me even more grateful for the good people working to make everyday stuff accessible and yet keep conditions safe.) The staff are very friendly and super helpful during my visit. I was pleasantly greeted when I entered and staff quickly asked if I needed help looking for something; being my first time, I was delighted to hear the offer for assistance. Along with tools and accessories, they also have the options for purchasing paint and accessories. There was also items outside of the store as you walk-in to purchase, such as outdoor items. Parking was easy in the front or on the side of the building. It is easy to locate since it is next to the local fire safety complex. Stop by and support your local hardware store.

Extremely unpleasant woman sitting at the register reading a book made it very clear that I was interrupting her day by asking about tools they might have for making dumplings. In a very condescending tone, she informed me that dumpling presses were out of stock for the next 4 months "everywhere". When I said I wasn't sure if I needed a press, but was there anything else they might have that could help me make dumplings, as my significant other and I would like to try making dumplings together, she looked as though I had asked an impossible question, and then let me know that the only way to make dumplings was to do it in a "family setting". She said, "That's what the Asian families do. They make them together as a family." Not having a 'family', I said My significant other and I were just looking to enjoy some time together and make some dumplings in a casual way, she said no, that isn't how it's done, and again started talking about how dumpling presses were out of stock until I just said never mind and left. I hated that experience. I don't see why she had to put such emphasis on the fact that I wasn't Asian and we aren't a big family or something. That made me feel horrible about myself.

I left to the car and read the receipt, at the bottom it says "90 day satisfaction guaranteed" i also called Manchester woodcraft and they told me they would take the return. I went back in and showed the guy the receipt and explained to him that the other woodcraft would take it back. He still tried arguing that its not right and the receipt shouldn't say that. The other guy that was there was from the Manchester branch and started ranting about how everyone there is an idiot and they dont know anything. While hes checking out another customer bad mouthing the company he works for. The guy ends up giving me a refund saying he'll take the hit for it like hes doing me a favor instead of honoring their refund policy
