Big thanks to the hardware staff for assisting in my needs in finding hardware to hang my antique hanging lamp. Had to make a trip back because there was one piece both the staff and I didn't consider, but otherwise a successful visit. Purchased some Carhart work pants too which in my opinion are overpriced but not the stores fault. They also have iron out which is helpful when cleaning my rocks and minerals. Didn't purchase any today but it's nice knowing I can come here for certain items of need and knowing that it is in stock. read more

Horrible customer service. The people working there have zero knowledge or ability, it's like they'll hire anyone to work in a hardware store. Basic principles are too much for these people. Need help? Good luck, you won't get help with anything in the Rocky's stores. And their inventory is a joke. Shows available online and when you show up it's not there any the staff are less than no help. Selection sucks on what they have and they charge more than anyone else if they do have it, no value there. read more

On the positive side - they are local, there is parking, if the register lines are slow they open another. On the negative side - they often print up and mail coupons for things that are not in stock, or if they were in stock, they are not anymore. But the coupon is good for a month and u r all out 1 week in?? Bait and switch, it's called. Snotty, young, pompous workers can not/ will not handle reasonable complaints about mis-leading coupons, ie $5 off coupon only good if you spend $30 and none of yr items are on sale. I've been in this house for 33 years now, so that's how long I've been going to this Rocky's. They usually have whatever it is that I'm needing, from drill bits, to power tools, to flashlights, to paint and paintbrushes, etc. Most often they're very friendly and very helpful, and as I'm getting older and my eyes aren't what they used to be, I appreciate the assistance finding the occasional little screw I need that I can't spot like I used to be able to... and they're always pleasant, friendly, and happy to help. Last year, I borrowed my nephews 20" Stihl chainsaw to finish cutting up some rather large trees I had taken down that were left in rather large sections. After I got through the first tree, the chain was pretty dull, so I went to Rocky's to see what I needed to sharpen it (They're a Stihl dealer). While I was there, the person helping me mentioned that they had a sharpening service, and when I asked, it was only $8. So, when I wasn't able to get the chain sharpened and working properly again myself, I brought the chain to them the next morning when they opened, and had it back later that afternoon. I brought it to them twice more, and got same day service each time. I was soooo happy, as I was able to get the job done, and to return the saw to my nephew on time (with a new chain and bar I bought for him, at Rocky's, as well). They're a great local hardware store; they're always helpful and friendly; and as part of their Ace Rewards program, they send me occasional $5 rewards cards throughout the year, and on my birthday, which always makes me happy and gets me thinking of what else I need to get at Rocky's... I having been going to this Rocky's for 25 years. I am done. Instead of buying my power tools from the big box, I have been purchasing from this location. For outdoor equipment, I have been buying Stihl products. First a chainsaw, then a Kombi system with hedge trimmer/edger. Latest was a weed wacker / trimmer. I bought 29 days ago. I called store to see if I can return/exchange, first young person was very helpful, sure, bring it in...she then hesitated and said I should speak with manager before I came down. Manager came on the phone and said he could not refund or return, only can do within 7 days - later in 2nd call, that turned in 3 days. I explained how I used 1x and FS-KM became stuck and when pulling out, a plastic piece broke. He kept saying I had to call Stihl, over and over again. I called Stihl, waited 20 minutes on support line and explained situation to tech person. He said their policy for their retailer is "you sell it, you fix it". I said I was not even given that option. He said, "no problem, they obviously have some issues, lets get you a retailer that will support their customers and fix your problem". He said Acres will handle and he will set it up for me to drop off with them tomorrow. I called back store manager, I told him Stihl policy for retailers, he began to back pedal and said they can repair. He tried to say he offered, he never offered. "You need to call Stihl". Rocco Falcone you should be ashamed to hire a manager that was rude to a life long customer and not stand behind a product you sell. Whatever you have setup with Stihl, if you sold someone a product and less than 30 days later its broken, you should be doing whatever it takes to fix it, replace it, refund it, period. Big box store would have taken back, no questions asked, refunded or exchanged. Again, I do not need to hear over and over "this is Stihl's policy and you need to call them directly." I just had the best service at Rocky's. I've been trying to get a. Fertilizer and weed preventer product for my gardens and haven't had much luck. I went into the East Longmeadow store and with the help from DeWayne I got just what I needed. He also helped me find a light fixture for my closet. read more

This is a very convenient local hardware store providing one-off items when you don't wish to purchase an entire package of screws, nuts, bolts or nails. Service is friendly, the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable and when there is a sale on paint, Rockys is very competitive with the big box stores. It is very nice to to have a small local business in town providing the things that really matter, good service, nice product selection in smaller quantities and a knowledgeable sales staff. read more

What is it with customer service these days? I used to do my business at aubuchon hardware in Eastampton until I got some terribly bad service so I decided to go to Rocky's in East Longmeadow because I have had good luck there. Well, this past experience was terrible the manager on duty was not very knowledgeable did not approach me with a smile it seemed like it was a chore that I was asking her anything all I needed to do is order a part which I would think they would be happy to do instead I was told to order it online because they were too busy and there was only two customers in line, it just seemed like they couldn't be bothered. I am very disappointed because like I said I've done my business elsewhere and now I think I am going to have to find yet another store who knows how to treat their customers. This store is about 20 miles from my house which I am happy to make the extra trip but I guess it is not going to work out for this relationship. read more

Nice little hardware store that has just about everything. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Usually has just what you need. Less intimidating than the huge big box stores. They make keys and fill propane too. Prices might be more than big box, but the extra price sometimes is worth Rockys convenience. read more
