    The Philly combo
    Taylor F.

Decided to try the new local cheesesteak spot in Manteca, and I'm glad to see a new business open with a simple but unique menu. The restaurant was very clean when we walked in, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We placed our order and noticed it's a bit on the pricey side--$14.95 for The Philly, plus an additional $5 more to add fries and a drink. The food came out quickly. The fries were okay but could've used a little more seasoning. Drink options are limited to canned soda, and they didn't have Dr Pepper or Pepsi, so I had to go with a Mountain Dew. The sandwich itself was filling--I didn't add extra meat and didn't feel like I needed to. While it's not a traditional Philly cheesesteak, it's still a good sandwich overall. What stood out was customers were clearly enjoying their meals. I overheard people thanking the cooks, finishing everything, and saying they'd be back as they left. Overall, I'll definitely return and wish this new business much success.

A decent place to get a good Philly cheesesteak. I enjoyed how it was freshly made and piping hot when it was served to me. Its a newly opened place in a not so great location for foot or drive by traffic. It's great to have diversity so go try them out and help out a business that gives us a alternative option than the norm.

Located in the same shopping center as Home Depot and In-N-Out, it's around the back where Chucks used to be and is next-door to Chocolate Bash. We were on the run but saw that they were open. Stopped in and staff very friendly. Had already eaten and got chicken strips and fries for the babes. Seemed like Sysco chicken tenders, basic and the babes was happy. Will have to return to try their cheesesteak. Friendly staff and seems like it might be part of a restaurant chain.

Finally, there is a new restaurant in Manteca serving Philly cheesesteaks! We chose the #1 with jalapenos and white cheese and the #2 with white cheese. I love the bread; it's toasted, soft, and fresh! The meat could use a lot more flavor in my opinion. They use an okay amount of meat and onions. Fries are not significantly special, but they are good with the sandwiches. Paid $37 for two sandwiches, one being a combo. The service is friendly and fast. We are happy to support a new business. Good food and atmosphere.

Super disappointing. The meat an onions had a sweetness to them, almost like something g with teriyaki sauce was cooked on the same flat top and not cleaned before making this sandwich. For $14, there wasn't much meat. Overall the meat and onions lacked seasoning. Is it too much to ask for the meat to be seasoned with SOME salt? Maybe so black pepper? Cheese wasn't melted and a slice might have been missing.

Solid 4 stars! The Philly Cheesesteak was juicy and full of flavor. The meat is ribeye along with great American cheese with onions and bell pepper. The bread was sturdy enough to support the meat and veggies without be tough to eat. The fries were hot, crispy and well seasoned. Can soda and bottle water for drink options. Staff were friendly, food was ready in about 5 minutes and the restaurant is clean. Not a huge place but nicely done. I'd say it's a bit on the pricey side especially for the can soda, but the sandwich was large enough for my wife and I to share for lunch and we both walked away full and happy. They also have smash burgers, loaded fries, other options. It's a nice addition to the food options here in Manteca and we will definitely be back for more food!!

I've been eyeing this place each time I shop at Home Depot. Finally I spotted the OPEN sign. Nice, clean place with three Filipina workers. So, I jokingly ordered The Philly-pina with white cheese and fries. From the fridge, I picked up a Lipton Ice Tea. Order came quickly, all hot with nicely toasted bread. The sandwich tasted like a good Philly should taste. Melty cheese, nicely seared meat and peppers. Fries were crispy too.

Really had high hopes. This is not your typical cheesesteak, it is very sweet and very little meat. Bread and cheese are good and the people are nice. But over priced for what you get and seasoned too sweet. It's got a teriyaki taste.

Wow! The Philly Cheesesteaks are worth having weekly. The ribeye meat makes this Philly jump to the top of my list. I've tried all the combos and found the #3 with mushrooms, white cheese, and jalapeños to be my favorite. The meal is enough to share with a friend or partner. The service is always welcoming and friendly. Nice quiet place to just relax and enjoy a meal.

I thought to myself, NICE, a cheesesteak shop in Manteca It could be that I'm spoiled on really good cheesesteaks, or it could be I grew up in a time where shops didn't nickel and dime people. I want to support local businesses, but I also want value for my money and a good product. Rocky's barely offered one. Let me start by saying the flavor was not mind blowing, it was just meh IMHO. Now for the bad news....the "basic" cheesesteak is about 13 bucks, meat, cheese, onions, bread. Now the "Philly" has red and green bell peppers...for 2 bucks more. Basically a sprinkle bell peppers....last time I checked, I could get a whole red and a whole green bell pepper for less than a buck at the market. Ok.....so maybe theirs are "special" bell peppers. The crazy part...they charge to add bell peppers for 2.50. Speaking of 2.50....apparently mushrooms are magic too, for 2.50. Now here's some real mental gymnastics and math that don't math....my wife ordered the mushrooms and jalapeño cheesesteak.....she asked to have no jalapeños. (15.00), instead of offering to just sub more mushrooms in place of the jalapeños, the counter person changes her order to the original, cheesesteak then adds mushrooms for 2.50. Effectively charging us .50 more than the one she ordered. Now for even more fkry...you can make it a combo for an extra 5.50. This gets you a can of soda and fries. Look at the amount of fries you get with this "combo"... My honest opinion of this place, they could do better, and not overcharge for vegetables. Just incorporate the cost into the final sandwich, but do it fair. If they don't nickel and dime so much, A soda fountain would probably be better than cans. It was barely enough to wash down a sandwich. Also presentation could be better. Check it out for yourself, but I would say pass, unless they do better.

Place is new and very clean. Service was fast; my togo order was ready in less than 10 minutes. For the sandwhiches I feel like its too much bread and a lil skimpy on the meat. Flavor is decent, I think its cooked with like a teriyaki sauce and gives a island vibe, the cheese they use is yellow. This isnt like a traditionally philly hoagie with provolone cheese but like a teriyaki sammich. Give it a try and share what you think.

Bread was light and airy, nice flavor. Might of buttered the bottoms Other half of sandwich from cross section

But what I did notice is there's a new appetizer on the menu I haven seen before. I like getting the appetizers here cause they're half off between 3pm and 6 pm everyday. This new appetizer isn't included in the half off deals though. This new appetizer is called Bacon Cheeseburger Won Ton Crispy Tacos. They look very similar to the chicken wonton crispy tacos, but with a different filling. Well, damn, I gotta try those, even though the $10 meal deal Bacon Cheeseburger and fries is already a lot of food, but I just gotta give there a try! I ordered my Really Big Meal Deal for $10 as well as this new Bacon Cheeseburger Crispy Wonton Tacos. The server was familiar with the options I picked out. I subbed onion rings for the fries this time. The interior was clean and neat like most Applebee's locations. The food arrives with the appetizers first. They do look pretty dang tasty and the shells seem a little more crispy than the chicken versions. The taste is super nice, more outward flavor than the chicken version, that IS on the happy hour offerings. I'd get this again, you should give it a try. My burger was great as usual, lots of nice bacon and this time and I like the onion rings instead of the fries. I was totally stuffed!
