Love getting to checkout some food trucks! We stopped in and when I seen the fried chicken options that Hot Tender Station has, we knew we had to give their food a try. We ordered the Nash & Tender Fries with Medium heat and seasoned fries. It only took them about 5 minutes to serve us our food, which was packed to-go. So, what's the consensus? The loaded fries were yummy- well cooked and crispy while fresh. The seasoning on them was delicious as well. Of course the fries were loaded so it was hard to pick them out. Only a few small opportunities on the side because these were not just loaded.... They were LOADED. Overall, they were pretty delicious. My husband and I split one serving and it was plenty of food for us both. I'm not a huge pickle fan (put them on the side for the hubs to eat) but the secret sauce seemed to have a lot of relish flavor. So, if you aren't a fan of relish the sauce may not be for you. But my husband loves pickles and enjoyed the flavor profile. The medium heat wasn't very spicy, to me it was more mild but the guy who took our order told us to expect that! Next time we're back we'll probably try the chicken tenders on their own so we can judge it on its own. But overall, we enjoyed their food! Yum! read more

Food Truck #9 We've been missing out. We passed by this food truck many times. My boyfriend one day ended up getting a chicken sandwich from here. He said it tasted so good. He got me the combo #1 that he ordered to try out. He was right, the chicken sandwich is delicious. This did not disappoint. Even the fries it came with was seasoned good and their special sauce tasted good as well. The best chicken sandwich we've tasted! read more

The Hot Tender Station lives up to their name! Their tenders are fire! From the batter they use and the seasoned fires both 10 out of 10! I love that you have an option to choose your heat level! The portions are really generous and so are the staff! They are located inside the Lathrop Food Truck Plaza so there is plenty of shaded outdoor seating! Perfect date idea I highly recommend! read more

The employees aren't friendly and the food isn't too great. I don't reccomend coming here.

Recently stopped by at the Lathrop food plaza and tried the Hot tender station, had a good experience The chicken slider combo was incredibly crispy, and fries were delicious. We loved it so much that we went back for more tenders! Plus, the customer service was super friendly, and the vibe was great. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

This is one of our favorite little spots at the food trucks. Their fries are so darn good. Unfortunately, I have a gluten allergy so the fries are pretty much all I've tried. My son's rave about their chicken tenders and their chicken sandwiches. Service is always amazing here as well. read more

Let me start off by saying I love chicken sandwiches and I was craving one and saw this place. I had never tried this place before nor even ordered from that food court yet so I thought I'd give it a try. I was excited and hopeful based off the pictures, looked pretty appetizing. Side note: I do not eat fast food, and if I do, it's very rare. I will try new places once every few months for a type of "cheat meal." I got the combo #4 which came with a chicken slider, an extra chicken tender, and a side of mac & cheese. The mac & cheese was pretty bland. I honestly took two bites of it and threw it out and also noticed that if you order it on the side it's $6 which in my personal opinion I don't feel is worth it unless you want to add a bunch of spices to flavor up the Mac yourself (unless of course you like that type of Mac) The slider itself was OK I did get medium heat which was perfect amount for me considering 10 hot Cheetos is my max for heat. I do think there should've been a little bit more coleslaw to balance out the flavors a bit, but I do think that the chicken taste better à la carte. The spicy sauce and the seasoned french fries we're good though. I wasn't very impressed kinda bummed this wasn't as I expected so for the price and the first impression I would not order there again. read more

Food is served hot and the chicken is juicy, which is the only positive thing about this place. The spice level is right, but it is far from flavorful, and only seasoned on one side. The "seasoning" is a dry powder that is textuarally really off-putting. Nothing like true nashville hot chicken. They ask of you want the fries "regular" or "seasoned" but ignore what you say anyway, even if you specify that it's going to children. My small children ended up unable to eat anything because their fries were too hot. The mac and cheese is an overcooked, mushy mess. read more

Hot and fresh but the flavor wasn't there. Mac and cheese bland and chicken seasoning is just paprika. Fries were ok. read more

I called and placed my order with 10 mins it was ready. So that was a plus because it's always so busy at the Lathrop food plaza. I ordered the tenders in the second hottest spice level, but the chicken was alright(I wish it had some salt or something it was lacking a little bit of flavor.) It wasn't spicy and I did try to ask for the seasoning on the side just in case it wasn't hot enough for me, but they weren't able to do that because it was an "ingredient" they don't sell/give out. I wasn't a fan of the slaw but the fries were good and made up for it! read more

this is my second encounter with the rude girl taking orders. I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time and returned but Neri P is very rude. she made comments in Spanish, to which I understood. she lacks customer service skills and I will not be returning. such a shame one person can cause an office of 8 to not be returning customers. read more

Scheduled an online order for my lunch break and they didn't care to look at the time I guess because it was done 45 minutes early. Tried to call them when I got the text and the phone number is for a Mexican food truck. Show up and have to wait for a new order. Now I will be late back to work. Quality in chicken has gone down drastically from when they first opened read more

2/29/24 Welcome to The Hot Tender Station located by I-5 in Lathrop Food Plaza, CA. They serve your classic American chicken tenders, fries, Mac N' Cheese, and much more. I got combo #4 which is the most expensive at $17.94 (tax is included) but the most worth it. If you want all their flavors into one, get the bowl but Combo #4 is what you should get! The service is giving a chill vibe & they'll make it easy for you. Also, when they ask you which fries you want, always go for "seasoned". Anyways, that's my take. I hope you get to enjoy it as much as I do! Also, I don't believe in a 5/5 but this spot is at my highest a 4.5/5 ! read more

Best chicken tenders I've had! Same as Nash + Tender, due to this being their mobile food truck version, it's awesome! Must try those Nash + Tender Fries ! They're loaded with flavor and goodness, too delicious, I can't explain it. They are located in the new Lathrop Food Plaza & the best part is that they even offer Door Dash delivery now that's why I had to leave them a review. read more

Dry old bad chicken. The people are friendly but the food is complete garbage. 13.50 for three chicken tenders and you'd expect something better than gas station quality. I told them it was dry not even warm they said, "that's your feeling". Not give us a chance to fix it, not an offer of a refund. If it was just bad food I could understand as maybe they don't know how to cook well but even a bad cook knows to serve it warm. They had no line and no other customers. Well, I guess I understand why smash burger parked next to them had 15 people in line. read more

This food is fireeeee i went off of there pictures and the taste did not disappoint i wish we had this where i lived ill be expecting this from all chicken shops from now on. I didnt even need ranch and i always use a sauce, so much flavor. read more

Stopped by this spot in lathrop to try some food trucks and stumbled upon this place. Chicken is seasoned well and so were the fries. The sauce also compliments the chicken so well and make it an outstanding tender. read more

Amazing service! Never too long of a wait even when it's packed also! The food is always 10/10 so much flavor and such a large portion !

This place is not good at all. The chicken tenders (combo #5) was literally just doused in paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt with the coating being chewy at best. Fries were decent, but weren't hot. They were about as warm as the canned sodas we got. The guy taking orders kept calling me Bro during the transaction, which is a little weird. Hard pass on this next time. read more

I a firm believer not knocking till you try it again. But the food doesn't match the great name. Tried a combo again and it was a sad delivery. The staff are welcoming and courteous and get 5 stars. read more

I hate leaving reviews like this but this place was so nasty. Fries were bland & the spicy sandwich was super DRY & small it was about the size of my 6 year olds palm, the bread was DRY and overall everything wasn't good. For $13 I'd prefer to go to angry chicks. read more

Not worth it! The fries are just any regular frozen fries. There was really nothing different about their food. I'd rather spend my money somewhere else. read more

Amazing food, the sauce was spectacular. The chicken could've used a little bit more seasoning and breading but it was still really good.

Neri was awesome, he told me all about their different items! The chicken is BOMB thank you hot tender station!!!
