    watermelon cocktail

"At first, we approached the host stand because we wanted to sit outside, but several hosts were standing in the foyer and no one offered to guide us or show us the outdoor area so we could see the atmosphere. We were a bit disappointed at first. However, once we were seated outside, the manager came over and apologized for the situation, which we appreciated. We ordered several dishes, and we especially loved the Caesar salad. We were not very impressed with the burger, and the manager kindly removed it from the bill after noticing our disappointment. The watermelon cocktail was also very good. Overall, it was still a nice experience, especially because of the great atmosphere and the beautiful hotel."

Benedict was really good and so was service and my cappuccino. Inside and outside seating available as well as a breakfast buffet for $40. Would recommend overall.

My husband and I went to Rockwood Grill for our anniversary dinner and breakfast and we were impressed with everything! Food : Dinner was spectacular! Everything was fresh,Good quality and we love everything we ordered.Next morning we came back for breakfast and it was great as well.Nothing went wrong at all with any items and we were very happy with it. Vibe : Cozy and modern with very bright natural light and amazing view. Service : Our dinner server was "Elena" we loved her! She was very polite,Went above and beyond to celebrate our anniversary, very friendly and she was amazing! My breakfast's server I can't remember his name but he was ok,Not bad though but could be faster. Overall I would definitely recommended Rockwood Grill if you stay at the hotel and somewhere near by.Give this place a try and you'll thank me later.

Came here the Monday after getting married and was served by Elena with my new wife. We had an entire week and a half of stress and things going wrong and she was by far the highlight of everything. The service was amazing, the experience was exquisite, and she and the staff really made everything feel like finally the universe was telling us that we were in good hands. It was amazing to have selected this place after an amazing time from the JW Marriott hotel. 100% coming back after this warm welcome to the start of marriage.

Our palms spring trip wouldn't have been the same if we didn't visit the rockwood grill. Sat outside to enjoy the nice view and had breakfast. The pancakes were nice and fluffy my kids enjoyed it the most. The omelet with the side of potatoes was delicious as well such fresh ingredients. Had a great breakfast to start our day! Services were wonderful as well!

I wish we had more to write home about. But it just so happens while we were staying here they weren't offering a dinner buffet over the weekend. Which was disappointing because I would've loved to have some seafood! Instead of the dinner buffet they offered a sad breakfast selection. $40 a person is ridiculous for what they served. Just basic bacon, sausage, soggy potatoes etc I mean just stuff that would be offered at a free continental breakfast at a hotel anyway. They should reconsider their buffet options. Otherwise the staff was friendly.

Dinner last night was nice but unfortunately for my $28 breakfast, the chef could not cook over medium eggs. Nevermind. It was server error. Ugh.

Food is great for resort, outside seating is a plus. Service is fast and they work as a team.

Coffee great Ambiance. Inside and patio dining. Buffet on weekends. About $49 an adult. Normal menu is $27 or $28 for every item. Groups of 6 or more an upcharge is added to every item. It's now shown in the menu. Very overpriced restaurant but convenience factor and the Marriott pork sausage are why I keep coming back. Kids menu each is $12. Includes a kids drink like milk or juice.

I had a wonderful experience last night eating at Rockwood Grill. I am a foodie and go to many restaurants. It started with a great cocktail to be followed with the most spectacular Calamari and then the Tomahawk Porkchop. The food was absolutely superb. But what stood out beyond compare was our waitress. In all my 70 years I have never had such impeccable service as I did with Elena. She made our dining experience just that much more. She was quick, friendly, and simply put "went above and beyond" it is so wonderful to see such great attentive service in today's world. She made our meal that much better. I highly recommend this wonderful establishment at the beautiful JW Marriott Dessert Springs. We took a boat ride right before dinner which was amazing also.

Dinner started with the Big Eddie seafood tower. The chilled oysters, shrimp, lobsters and crab were sublime. It took about half an hour to make our way through the tower, enjoying every bite. The tower came with four dipping sauces - one for each of the offerings. We still had room for some red meat so we split the bone-in NY Strip Steak cooked to a perfect medium rare + and cut off the bone and sliced for us. We added on the mashed potatoes which were literately the best mashed potatoes I've ever eaten - silky smooth and buttery without being overly fatty. And what's a memorable dinner without a great dessert so we ended our meal with the Bananas Foster Butter Cake - moist butter cake with sliced banana on top and brandy flambé with whipped cream and butter pecan ice cream on the side. This was absolutely a perfect dinner in every respect. And have to mention our server AJ who provided us with spot-on service - friendly, courteous, and professional in every respect. AJ seemed to read our minds and was there with drinks, recommendations on the drink and extensive wine list and a smile throughout our meal. Thank you AJ for a memorable meal and fun evening.

Royal Ossetra Petrossian caviar: 5 stars Definitely splurged on this one, but it was worth every cent. Delicious royal ossetra caviar serve atop crème fraîche and with perfectly prepared Blinis - soft, crisp edges and perfectly warm. I love caviar and don't get to eat it as much as I want. I hope to come back for more real soon. Tableside Steak Tartare: 4 stars Tender steak tartar served with black truffle drizzle and a couple shavings. Crispy crust slices very good dish. Prime steak tataki: 5 stars Served with wild mushrooms, green onions, and a Korean chili paste! The flavors are quite invigorating and the spice is a very mild heat. All the ingredients were well balanced and worked together to make a cohesive appetizer. Steak is cooked perfectly and I would order this dish again. Service: 5 stars. Our bartender was Raul, and he shakes the best martinis. Great service, possesses a great knowledge of the menu and drink items and was an absolute joy to spend happy hour with. I look forward to coming back to Eddie V's for another great happy hour.

The bread basket, as described in the photos, there were so many options. The Tomahawk Australian Wagu was so tender, juicy and like butter. Okay ------ the food itself? Everything was GOOD. No complaints on flavor at all. But... this could've easily been a 5 star experience and there were some pretty big misses. Everyone in our group got their food... except me. About 20 minutes in, our server comes back and lets us know they're out of mushrooms for my vegan ceviche and asks what I want to do. I switch to tofu. Another 20 minutes goes by. At this point everyone is completely done eating, we're basically ready to ask for the check... and THEN my dish comes out. I will say, it was delicious and the presentation was beautiful but yeah, timing was a miss. On top of that, we had to ask about our drinks because they were forgotten for a while. So yeah.....amazing flavors, really fun spot, love the concept... but they've gotta tighten up the timing and communication. I'd still come back, just hoping for a smoother experience next time.
