A must go they have the best pastry's and bread. The coffee and matcha are both great and everyone is so friendly! Such a cute place

Best pecan stick bun ever. Coffee is good. Worst cookie I've ever had. Costco cookies are 10X better and wayyyy cheaper. The cookies are dry, lack flavor and fall apart when you bite them. Was very disappointed

Friendly help & good menu, however my large iced matcha did not even come close to enough matcha in the milk to matcha ratio. All I could taste was milk.

The authenticity doesn't stop there, the food is outstanding, some of the best pastries I have had in a while, from their basic croissant to the pistachio chocolate ... thing.. honestly I forgot what it's called haha, Everything here was outstanding, but I will honestly say I have had better Kouign Amann, sorry, It was still very good though, and that very well could just be my personal taste :). The house made chocolate ganache really sets them apart :). The chef came out to serve us our ham and cheese croissant and he was so gracious and truly happy to be there. All in all we are already planning our next trip back to try some of the desserts they offer as well. So I would definitely pop by if you're in the area.

They did have fresh blueberry muffins just out of the oven. The helpful gentleman also went over what croissants were available and daughter chose the popular pistachio croissant and an almond croissant. She also got 3 Madeleines for the tea party and wished to try the Pear Charlotte which the very pleasant man affirmed was a good choice. The madeleines had a mild citrus taste and was well liked. One of our guests asked to take one home with her. The croissants were amazing and we will need to get the almond chocolate one next time. The Pear Charlotte is a cake filled with cream surrounded by what appears to be lady fingers topped with a thick pear slice. We had not asked for pricing, but receipt shows the bakery is pricey.

I ordered a 9 inch ham with provolone, had lettuce, tomato, sprouts, mustard and mayo on the fresh baguette. Solid sandwich it had enough meat and cheese to satisfy me which was a little surprising. The baguette was light and tasty, the veggies were fresh and crisp. Overall the sandwich was a solid 9 out of 10, and I am something of a sandwich snob. Tables and chairs outside in the area between the buildings were convenient seating to eat our sandwiches. Service was fast & friendly throughout the visit. I ordered the chicken curry salad & was a little underwhelmed. The flavor itself was good, but it could have used more dressing and definitely more chicken. The Thai tea was really tasty though. Overall, still interested in coming back to try the sandwiches and baked goods since those looked especially promising.

The Order: * My Go-To: I highly recommend the chocolate chip cookie with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream on top. * Variety: They have every flavor of milk, ice cream, and cookies you could want. Timing & Atmosphere: * Avoid Weekends: I would not recommend coming here on a weekend. The store is tiny, and because it's right next to all the bars, the area gets crowded with a lot of drunk people. If that isn't your scene, stick to a weekday visit. * Rewards: It is quite expensive, but it's a nice treat. Plus, you can sign up with your phone number to get discounts for future visits. The Parking Situation: * Virtually Non-Existent: There is no parking lot, so you are stuck looking for small spots along the side of the road. * Accessibility: There is no designated handicap parking, so keep that in mind if you aren't prepared to walk a bit from a side street. Final Verdict: It's a perfect weekday spot for a warm dessert, just be prepared for the peninsula parking struggle!

WHY DOES THIS BAKERY HAVE A 4.5+ RATING?…read more This is our first visit. Clearly the pastries are a very high level of quality and french cuisine. We had breakfast - an omelette, some bacon and lamb sausage, potatoes, and a cappuccino. we also had some pastries. All excellently prepared. We're going to try something else besides the omelette next time...it was OK but not "out of the park" so we'll try something else next week. Service - after we ordered at the counter our food was delivered to the table which are all located outside on a well-shaded patio. We always split our dishes - my wife and I can't eat an entire plate of food. It's not "table service" - they don't come back and check you or help with water or drinks, etc. Whatever you want you must return to the counter. But service at the counter is very friendly and helpful. The ambiance is an outdoor cafe....noisy neighbors, wind when it blows, dogs, all the regular stuff - good seating and umbrellas with some areas naturally shaded...lots of tables relative to the size of the shop. Very friendly staff. Why do my reviews get over 1,000 views every time we visit a new place? We don't know but it seems consistent. We feature very critical reviews - we rate high but include serious critiques. Maybe that's it.

We've been coming here for a couple years now and it pains me to write this…read more As foodies who value high quality ingredients over everything else, we were thrilled to find somewhere that uses organic ingredients and even mills their own flour! A month ago we started milling our own flour at home and realized how hard it is, and how short the shelf life is, which made us appreciate Eller even more! Recently we came in for breakfast (which runs us $100+ for a family of 4) and asked Mickey (the guy in charge up front) if ALL of their pastries use fresh milled flour to which he responded "Yes everything uses fresh milled flour. This is the healthiest place you'll eat." Something was weird the way he said it though...he sounded almost defensive. Then we were eating outside and we saw a bunch of 25lb bags of flour stacked inside through the window. Obviously those were not fresh milled (and they didnt even say organic). Something smelled off. The next week we came in again, this time we were determined to get answers. We asked the cashier when they run the giant flour mill that's displayed next to the register. He said usually at night, but it wasn't working right now. Then we asked if they use 100% fresh milled flour in their pastries, to which he replied "Yes, everything up here uses freshly milled flour." Hmmmm. Then we asked if the mill isn't working, how are they getting all the fresh milled flour? He started stuttering, thinking what to say, then said they get the flour from someone else who's milling it for them. Oh ok... Then we asked about the giant stack of 25lb bags of flour sitting behind him, and he starting stuttering even more, then finally said "Well...not everything uses fresh milled flour. There are some changes going on right now. Only the items that say 'Heritage' use fresh flour" (which was 3 of the 12 or so items on display). We asked if these were short term changes and if they would go back to fresh milled flour to which he replied "No, these changes are permanent. That's all I can say right now. Sorry." So....TWO different employees lied to us about the ingredients they're using. Obviously the 2nd person had been coached on what to say. Now we are wondering how long this has been going on, and if they were ever using 100% fresh milled flour?!? I don't know what's going on at this place but, when it comes to food, honesty and transparency are MANDATORY. Had they been upfront about this I wouldn't have come to write this review. But if you're going to lie to customers faces, especially ones who have promoted you over the years, well, here's your review. Fingers crossed they wake up and start being honest with the people supporting them.
