After spending over an hour trying to clear our toilet, the fear set it that I would need to call a plumber in to fix the problem. I started to feel like most people due at a mechanic shop, I don't really know whats wrong and mostly likely they are going to try and screw me over by charging me for work thats unnecessary or parts I dont really need. Seeing plenty of good reviews definitely helped and scheduling was easy, they actually called back 30 mins later saying they could get me in 4 hours earlier which is a relief in a 1 bathroom household. Overall I was very pleased with the experience, professional service and fair prices. I highly recommend them to anyone in need and will definitely keep their number handy in case we need them again and for the future. read more

Very fast to respond to my problem, extremely professional and polite. Unfortunately, my problem was with my radiator and Brian was not able/qualified to fix it. He did share a few other tips on my plumbing system in my basement, though. Would try them again for a non-radiator issue. read more

Reliable, top-notch plumbing outfit. Great responsiveness from Brian to initial call, and professional, thorough work on plumbing beneath our sink by Marlon and Fernando. Friendly, too. Highly recommend. Trustworthy. read more

I had leak pipe a couple of months ago. I believe it was the owner that came out he was a very nice guy. I though he was a little like a car salesman. Overall he did a good job I thought the price was a little high but I was satisfied. read more

This was the 2nd time we've used Rocket to fix plumbing issues at our rental property. The first time went smoothly, the tub drain was unclogged and the drain trap cleared (old technology - old building!), and a new expansion cap installed. The plumber was tidy, left our tenant's bathroom as clean as he found it & in good working order. This week we had a clogged bathroom sink drain. Donny called when he was on his way (per my request because I don't occupy the rental; want to make sure I'm there when the plumber gets there) and called again when he arrived. He was friendly and even though it was dry out, put on protective booties over his shoes to minimize any mess he brought into the unit. He quickly & easily resolved the clogged sink drain and checked on 2 other minor issues. He didn't charge us a dime for coming out. He said "It was no big deal, I didn't need any tools or machines. Just call us next time." I absolutely will use Rocket again and plan to request Donny. Thanks for the great service! read more

HONEST work, thank you!!! I called to complain about a broken garbage disposal. Very easy to work with over the phone while trying to troubleshoot and schedule an appointment. Brandon, showed up ON TIME, was very polite, and answered ALL of my questions. He quickly diagnosed my issue and did not try to sell me more than needed. For any future plumbing issues, I would use Rocket Plumbing again! read more

I know nothing about water heaters but luckily this place does. I had water leaking from a pipe into my water heater. They identified the problem immediately and noted that the heater is just about to go. They provided excellent options based on my use and the size of tank I may need. in addition, they noticed a problem with my HVAC system and said they are not in that industry but to get it checked immediately. Turns out the HVAC system leaking and had the problem gone on any longer I would have needed a brand new system. WHEW! Value added here read more

We had a really great experience with these guys. It was hard getting any company to come out for our bathroom renovation with a difficult condo association and scope of work. It took almost 3 months for our condo association to approve the project, but Rocket continued to be persistent and understanding until they could start. The work ended up being a lot harder than we had anticipated, which of course led to the price being higher than the original quote. However, they continued to give us a fair and honest price and were upfront about everything they needed to do. Brian and his team were very professional throughout the entire project. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone who needs plumbing! read more

Had a clogged kitchen sink in our condo and couldn't clear it ourselves. I called at 2:30pm on a Friday and by 3:30pm Tony made it over. Things went quickly and very smooth and I got a few pointers for keeping a healthy drain. I would definitely call again. read more

Rocket Plumbing did a great job from start to finish! They answered my call immediately and were able to set up an appointment for the next day. Nick and his assistant were awesome! They were on time, professional, worked fast and helped to fix our leaky toilet. I will definitely be using Rocket in the future for all plumbing needs! read more

Im updating this review, because after posting my first review The Owner Brian contacted me asked me how they can improve there service and that customer service is the number 1 priority. I was pretty surprised and amazed that he would go out of his way for that. After i explain what happen he apologized and off me to fix the issue and we both came to a amicable agreement. Defiantly will contact them again. I had a issue with my hot water heater this weekend and I tried everything in my power to get it work, after all failed attempts I decided to go on yelp. After calling a few people and reading the reviews I decided to call rocket plumbing. Spoke to a guy name Andrés told me he had 1 tech left and he could send him over and all the charge is a $25 travel fee which is fine, he said he will give you a estimate and then you can decide to fix or not. I figured why not. So Sam came by checked out my water heater said I can turn it on for you for $97 I said ok after a few mins he tried and when I mean a few mins 12mins to be exact he was like nope you need a whole new bunch of pieces and what not. I said are you sure he was like I've been doing this for years yes. He was like ok some one will call you Monday its $97. I taught that was a little excessive he couldn't even get it lite up. What ever I paid. So there I am stuck with no hot water. He told me repairs were going to be over $300 to get it fix. The next day I had a family friend come over who is a heating ac guy who was not available on Sat. He came by look at the unit blow out the bottom and presto it work, it took him 5 mins and only charged me $30. I told him about what rocket plumbing told me, and he advise me to suck it up next time and just call him since all they want to do is up charge you or sell you a whole new unit. Last time I ever call Rocket Plumbing! read more

Our hot water heater went out on a Sunday night and I called Rocket. Brian answered and I scheduled an early morning appointment. They were fast, courteous, did a lovely job and arrived when they said they would. While he was there I had him fix a broken toilet as well. I have worked with a lot of contractors over the years and it doesn't get much better than this. Brian explained everything and put me at ease quickly. I would call Rocket again in a heartbeat for any plumbing woes. read more

Very punctual, actually an hour early, which just fine! fixed the clog in a hurry, and I was back to the office in less than an hour. Brett B. read more

We called to get someone to come out to do a diagnosis and give us an estimate. There was water leaking in our neighbor's downstairs bathroom and we were pretty confident it was coming from our pipes. We specifically said that the plumber was likely going to have to cut a hole in our neighbor's ceiling and Rocket said that would not be a problem. However, the plumber that showed up would not cut a hole in our neighbor's ceiling and told us to hire a carpenter and then call him back. We ended up contacting another plumber, Blanton Plumbing, who came out, cut the hole, diagnosed the problem, gave us an estimate, and repaired the leak. read more

This is my first time writing an interview on Yelp ever! I even had to create this account just to write, but I was so pleased and happy with the Job, I couldn't ignore how well the service was. It was literally the Job from HELL! My 11 year water heater died and instantly made an appointment with Rocket Plumbing. Anthony came the same day and diagnosed that I needed a new Heater. We scheduled and appointment and the day come where we had to change it out. The previous owners of my condo were idiots due to the horrendous placement of the old heater. What was suppose to be a 2 hour job ended up being 6 hours, but Anthony pulled through. One of the best service men I have met, he will always work with you to make the smoothest job possible. I highly recommend anyone to have any plumbing needs, be done by this company. Thanks again Rocket Plumbing! read more

----updated note ---- Brian (owner) call me after I posted the review below. Long story short he's making it right. He was very sincere and I appreciated it. It's rare to find a service industry vendor, especially a plumber, that really cares as much as he does. --- original note below ---- I've referred Rocket Plumbing to lots of people. Was really happy with the service I got. So I was disappointed when I called on Tuesday morning of this week to get a question answered to be told that a plumber would call me back the next day or possibly that day. It was literally just a question to help determine whether a plumber needed to come out but whatever. I received no call back on Tuesday or Wednesday. I called this morning (Thursday) and was told that they'd try to call me today. I get that everyone is busy (they said no one could come out until the following week) but to not be able to call someone back in a reasonable amount of time is a little suspect. I'm going to give Scottish Plumber a try now. read more

Overall great service! We had a leak in our kitchen sink, so I called Rocket in the morning and Brian came out by the early afternoon. He was very professional, polite, and straightforward. He took a look at the sink and explained what he thought the likely problem was. Then he went through the price before he got to work. He got the problem fixed quickly--it was a clogged pipe--then took a look at the rest of the sink to make sure there weren't any other leaks. I would highly recommend Brian and Rocket Plumbing! read more

Replacing a burned out ejector pump is about as bad a job a plumber can encounter. But Tony at Rocket got it done quickly and cleanly, and patiently explained some options for reconfiguring my drainage system. This my first time using Rocket, and I will certainly call them back---just hopefully not anytime soon. read more

Hopefully this review saves others time and money. I had a leaking garbage disposal, and called to request a quote. Rocket let me know they would come on site to take a look for a $25 travel fee (which could be deducted against the work) and then quote me. When they arrived, they did not even take a look and let me know instead that they do not fix garbage disposals, but only replace them at X cost. That's fine as a policy but please save everyone time and money and just let me know that on the phone. There is no reason to come onsite to tell me your standard cost of garbage disposal replacement. I am glad I had the peace of mind to ignore this sales tactic and say no and research other plumbers where I quickly found costs about 2/3 of what I was quoted by Rocket. The only thing having me give two stars instead of one is that they were timely and professional. The sales tactic was definitely deserving of one star in my book. read more

Sam and Zee were at my place within 20 minutes of scheduling an appt. They were so nice, explanatory, and honest. This was my first time I ever used a plumber, usually I try to take care of the problem myself. Unfortunately after renting a sewer snake/rod, trying to fix the problem for several hours, with my sewer slowly backing up, I called Rocket Plumbing. I spoke to Brain who was very helpful, polite, and quick to helping me. Tony, who I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, was sent over to help. He was very knowledgeable and gave me great advice about the maintenance of my sewer problem. Being very stressed out with my sewer problem, Tony was very reassuring to fixing the problem, along with his great sense of humor. I needed someone there as an emergency and Rocket Plumbing was there. I will definitely use their services again and recommend them to everyone. read more

Just talked to Joe about a drain in the basement furnace room. He explained everything to me over the phone- again saved me some hassle!

Thank you to Marlon at Rocket Plumbing for his courtesy and efficiency while fixing a leaking faucet. Even though it was a quick fix, I appreciated his professionalism and explanation of what was causing the leak. We will certainly be using this company again! read more

I just had Rocket Plumbing out this morning! With this rain storm last night, our sump pump failed at the worst time. Ugh! I called Rocket this morning at 6am and Brian (the owner) actually answered on the second ring. He had a plumber at my house by 8am this morning and switched out my sump pump in less than an hour. I am sooooo thankful right now I can't explain!! Our basement would have been trashed had Rocket Plumbing not come so fast! Thanks to Rocket for saving my whole day (and basement)!! read more

We've had three great experiences with Rocket Plumbing. First with Milo, who was informative and did a great job, and now with Lou, who installed a dishwasher that required him to come back twice, and he didn't charge us for the extra time, either time, which is exceptional. Honoring the quote and showing up on time (or being in communication) is standard practice here--what a great service!! read more

We recently found ourselves with 2 leaks and a damaged sewage pipe after another company did some preventative rodding. Rocket Plumbing is the most reliable and professional Plumbing Service I have found in Chicago. I've used them twice now. Most recently yesterday with a non-urgent pipe repair. The scheduling was easy. I received a scheduled arrival time (not a window) and the servicemen were prompt. The analysis of the issue was fast and efficient, the quote reasonable and then the work was done effectively. They took time to explain the repair after and answer a few questions. read more

I would like to start by saying that this is a very credible company. When Anthony first came out to asses my issue, he gave me a written quote. That was the first sign of that this was a professional company. I was referred to them by my neighbor. I had a very complicated situation and it took a couple of tries to get to the bottom of the issue but at the end of the day, Brian made sure that I was a happy customer. Brian made it clear that he stands behind his work and I have to say that he is a very stand up guy. I would highly recommend Rocket Plumbing!! read more

I called Rocket Plumbing due to a leaky garbage disposal and they were out the very next day and quickly determined the problem and replaced the unit within and hour. Marlon also offered to look at anything else in the house plumbing related free of charge. And I used the coupon on yelp since my repair was over $200 to replace the garbage disposal that was un-repairable. Marlon was nice and courteous. read more

We just moved in to our new home and called Rocket Plumbing to take care of some odds and ends. Marlon came over and ended up redoing the pipes under the kitchen sink (a task deemed necessary during our home inspection), he added a water line to the kitchen for our new fridge that was on the way (something that I was terrified about because it involved drilling a hole in our floor) plus he fixed a running toilet in our master bathroom. Not only was he quick and efficient with all of these tasks- he was also a lot of fun to chat with during the process. He has some great plumbing stories! I will definitely call Rocket Plumbing for any future plumbing issues- they're the best! read more

Used many different maintenance sewer rodding services. Rocket had competitive pricing and quick, efficient service. But the tech who showed-up to rod our sewer line used a different type of equipment -- one that I didn't like at all. The usual equipment involves a long rodding cable on a large powered spool. Rocket Plumbing's was different: a power hub, with a number of large cable segments that got connected together to make the full length. Each one of those segments had a heavy-gauge metal coil wrapped around the cable. As it was in use, the coil encased cable, which has some heft to it, vibrates and effectively "hammers" every surface it contacts -- including landscape timbers and lighting in our case. Not cool. If you have no landscape timbers or plantings, etc., to be concerned about damaging by that piece of rodding equipment, it would be fine. But we won't be using them again. Excellent service! I called after hours and was surprised that they had a answering service that took down all my information and had someone call me first thing in the morning. Being able to schedule on a Saturday is a huge plus for those of us that have a difficult time taking off work. Anthony was excellent in explaining what the issues I was having were caused by and spent some time explaining the general plumbing to me which I have never experienced before with other plumbers. I will be calling again in the future for any other plumbing needs I have and will also be recommending to my friends and family. A+++ read more

I had been without a functioning kitchen since I moved into my new, gutted condo. I was tired of washing dishes in the bathroom sink, so I called Rocket one evening a couple of days ago to see if they could connect up everything that had finally arrived (new sink, dishwasher, ice-maker in fridge). I got an appointment for the very next morning at 11:00 am. Joe showed-up on time, was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable He scoped out all the work and parts that would be needed, gave me a fixed price, went for parts, and finished everything by 4:30 pm. He had to deal with a broken-off main drain pipe and a missing packing nut that caused water to leak when the master shutoff was turned on. He fixed all that, attached the drains and faucet to my new sink, ran supply and drain lines to/from the sink and dishwasher, drill holes for the lines to/from the dishwasher in the cabinet base, and connected the supply line for the ice-maker. I was so happy to finally have my new kitchen working the same day, and was even happier when my cat was startled by the sound of newly made ice cubes dropping. They are not the cheapest, but when it comes to water in your home, you don't want the cheapest - you want the best, and that's who they are. read more

Rocket plumbing was really fast and helped me out with a bunch of things when I moved in to a new home. They were able to come out and fix my issue the same day I called them for a quote! Tony just left and I needed to sit down to write this immediately. Not only was he here on very little notice, but he arrived on time and clearly communicated what was happening and what my options were. He ended up going with the lower estimate because more work would have . He also had some great technical recommendations for an upcoming kitchen renovation--always appreciated! I'll be keeping this number on file, though thanks to Tony, I doubt I'll have to use it too often. read more

I am extremely pleased to say I had a wonderful experience with Rocket Plumbing. Not only were they courteous over the phone when I called in, but the plumber who was sent out came 30 minutes early, stayed until the job was perfect, and was a really nice guy on top of everything. My plumber's name was Tony and we ended up talking almost the entire time he was working in my kitchen. He gave sound advice about what to do when he left and did a fantastic job. Yes, cost it a lot (for me that is!), but piece of mind is not something you can put a price on. I will definitely be calling Rocket Plumbing again if any other issue arises! Thanks Tony! read more
