I've used them for several years, but I'm fed up with Tom (and his partner Luka). Let me say that the several Latino men who work with them are good, cheerful, and competent. Tom has zero customer service skills and Luka has all the charm of a Stazi agent. Tom ghosted me on a straight forward task (changing a water heater anode) even though I gave them weeks notice and told them it wasn't urgent and could be rescheduled if they had emergencies. He sent the Latino men to do other tasks that I scheduled. I'm sick of his attitude and will be finding another plumber. Their prices are not better than other plumbers. read more

If you have to call a plumber, it's usually not a good day. Often, you should expect at least two calls and some delay. Typically, tradesmen will want to estimate the work, schedule in advance, come back later to do the work, which is understandable, but inefficient for both parties. Tradesmen are notoriously hard to reach and communication is difficult - understandably so - they always have their hands full. Splash was exceptional. Not only did they text me back right away, they got someone out to replace my old toilet within an hour! (I had been waiting over a week for my building staff to do it..) I planned ahead and had all the equipment ready to go which helped a great deal, but their responsiveness and willingness to take care of my problem promptly sets them above the rest. They showed up on time, took care of the job and cleaned up afterwards. All in all, a great experience and they were extremely helpful navigating a difficult building yet making the process painless. My goodness! Fair quote for honest, reliable, quality work. It was a great experience. Sent Splash Plumber a text with video of my leaky bathtub spout/faucet. Tom (owner) responded expeditiously with a quote. A quote !! We made arrangements for someone to come out same day and in about an hour there was a knock on my door. I sent Splash Plumber a quote request and some photos. Within hours they got back to me with a diagnosis and even a quote. They were able to come out the next day and fixed the problem for WAY less than the other plumber I had look at the job first- and they also gave me a lot of free advice about my system. They got the job 95% done. The communication to get things scheduled was non-existent. I had to send 3-5 texts just to get one response back. Horrible communication. And I don't feel they really finished the job. Yes, they replaced our leaking cartridges, but how about a little caulk to keep water from getting behind the face plate. It was the communication that was most disappointing. Luke was very friendly and knowledgeable, but I couldn't recommend using them after our experience. read more

Have used Tom and his crew for the second time now, and I continue to be consistently satisfied. We have had an on-going leak for the past couple of months coming from what could be either the drain on the roof or the roof itself. Tom was able to send someone out the very next day after calling him, and his plumber Luke was on time, knowledgeable, and professional. When the situation was assessed, it was still inconclusive on what the problem was. Water is tricky like that, and sometimes it takes a few tries to get it right. When we needed for Luke to come back out again because the problem wasn't resolved, Tom did not hesitate and sent them back the very next day until we eventually had everything resolved. While I hope hope that we do not have any water issues for a long time, we will certainly use Splash Plumber again in the future. read more

After 20 years of being a homeowner, however, I have realized that this is actually pretty unusual. Thomas came on time, told me the problem and the price to fix it, went to buy the (slightly obscure) part, fixed the problem, cleaned up, and charged me exactly what he'd quoted. I called Tom February 15th re: an issue with my bathroom downstairs, and immediately he diagnosed the problem. By Monday morning on the 18th, he had his workers out to my house to remediate the problem with my main line. Well, 3 weeks later, the issue resurfaced and I reached back out to Tom. He showed up the next day himself, looked outside, and found the sewer clean out--then identified the issue before I even made it home. All I had to do was give him access to power so that he could rod the clean out. To my surprise, he didn't charge me for this. I was quoted from another company a ridiculous price for simple work, just to replace 2 bathroom faucets, and a cold line on the tub that we thought would be difficult ended up being just kinked flex line which was determined immediately by Luke, nothing even need to be done.
