We found Rocket Moving here on Yelp. They quoted a fair price so we engaged them to move us. They showed up on time ready to go on the schedule move date. They were friendly, efficient and professional. They started working at 8am and never stood still until they finished unloading our stuff later in the day. They completed the job earlier than their estimate so the final fee was less than the original estimate. They put everything in the correct room in the new home and took better care of our stuff than we did. I would use them again in a heartbeat. If you need to move, you won't go wrong by using them. Your movers search stops here! This was my first time hiring movers, and Carlos and Ivan set the bar HIGH. I moved from West Hollywood to Irvine, and they were efficient and highly professional throughout the move. They were extremely respectful of my things, making note of the boxes marked "fragile" and taking care not to throw anything around. They even wrapped all my furniture in shrink wrap to ensure that there would be no scuffs or stains - very important to me since I have a light beige upholstered bed and a brand new mattress! They also provided wardrobe boxes so I didn't have to fold and pack all my clothes. When we arrived to the new apartment, they covered the carpet with blankets so as not to leave shoe stains. These guys are pros. Leading up to the move, Alex was also very helpful and calm in answering all my questions and scheduling the move. The guys arrived 25 minutes after the 8-9am window, but once they arrived, they immediately went right to work. Just to note - I guess standard tipping is 15-20%?? I wasn't aware of this and did not withdraw enough cash beforehand....the move also took longer than I anticipated, so even though I'd taken out extra, it still didn't give me enough for a large tip. I felt bad, because they certainly earned it. I'd asked around beforehand, and most people were saying that 5-10% is the norm. I called around to numerous moving companies to get quotes, and Rocket had the best prices if you're paying with cash. $89/hour. All the stuff I mentioned above - shrink wrap, wardrobe boxes, tape, moving boxes, gas, mileage - all inclusive of this price! Just keep in mind that if you're traveling farther than 15(?) miles, they are required by law to charge double drive time. It actually protects both the consumer and the movers, especially in my case since we were going all the way to Irvine and the guys probably hit major traffic going back to LA at 4:30pm. A++++, 100% service. Don't look anywhere else - these guys know what they're doing, and made a potentially stressful day a rather easy one. Can't recommend them highly enough!! read more

I have hired movers in the past and have never been so impressed as I was with Rocket Moving. This was the best moving experience! They promised to have a crew at my place between 8-9 am and were there, in front of my apartment complex at 8:05 am. These guys are professional and ready to work. Parking is always an issue at this complex (partly why I'm moving). The only space available for them to park the truck was in the red zone. After just one load , parking enforcement rolled up and wanted to write a ticket. I don't know what the mover said to the officer but it worked! No ticket AND they were able to leave the truck there and finish my move!!! Super cool!!! Overall, I was really satisfied with the move. It took a bit longer than I expected, but none of my stuff got scratched or damaged, and that's all that matters!! Ask for Odyssey and George, these guys ROCK!!! read more

Booked these guys based on Yelp reviews, for my move from Lake Balboa to Tarzana on 6/15/15. Jesus said it would be better for 3 guys to come, since I live two flights up. Joe, Kevin and Gabby showed up right on time at 7 AM. It took them about 30 mins to find a easy place to park, and then they got started. The whole time they were super friendly and professional.They took apart both my beds and wrapped all the furniture. I was quoted 115,00 an hr for 3 guys. I was hoping to not spend anymore than 5-600, and at the end it cost me 1,035! I was super shocked! It took 9 hrs to move me from a 1 bedroom apartment, into a 2 bedroom town home. They did set up all the furniture where I wanted it, and put the beds together at the new place. If I use them again I would just not have them wrap everything, because this took way to much time, and I couldn't afford this price, but had no choice I had to pay. I moved out of IMT on the blvd(which is total night mare to move in or out of) with 3 guy friends and into the place I just left in all under 4 hrs. We just threw blankets over things, so I know it wasn't as detailed as what Rocket did. The guys definitely get 5 stars, but because of the price, I am knocking off one star. Maybe they should give the customer the choice of having every single thing wrapped or not, because this adds a lot more time and money.:( read more

Rocket movers were awesome! Literally! They emailed a confirmation, called the day before and called en route. They showed up on time with a huge 26 ft truck and four guys, as promised. Carlos, one of the guys communicated along each step of the way, he even addressed each one of us by our names. I don't know about you, but being called by your name is important in customer service. These frickin' guys, man. They turned up exactly when they said they would. It was the hottest day of the year, but they busted their butts getting everything loaded as fast as they could. They never slowed down, and then unloaded twice as quickly as they loaded. And on top of that, they were friendly, cheerful and down-to-earth guys. They arrived exactly on time, did a fantastic job of packing the truck and drove all the way to Palm Springs from Laguna Beach to put all of our belongings into storage. I would love to be able to be like the rest of the reviews on here, the same ones that urged me to contact/hire Rocket Moving, but sadly there was a major issue (which they made amends for in the end, but the damage was done...soooo). I will say they were prompt, very professional/courteous in their mannerisms and did work very quickly. I will also say the communications were all very prompt and professional as well. The price was good and very worth it for packing/moving our home! Sadly there was a major issue in how my kitchen was packed and there were losses, BUT they responded very quickly to my concerns and took everything I said/sent them very seriously. In the end I more than appreciate how they resolved the matter and how fast they did so. I would recommend Rocket, but due to that one issue I can not be as enthusiastic as other reviewers in my recommendation. read more
