DO NOT USE ROCKET MOVING! THEY ARE NOT HONEST! My husband & I were moving from LA to TX. We spent SO much time reviewing, interviewing, & researching moving companies. We were willing to pay more for their services because they had such great reviews! We called multiple times before our moving day to confirm everything. They sounded great & answered all of our questions. We had specific needs since we were moving with the military. We have done 3 prior military moves, so we knew what to look for & how to figure out the details. Then moving day comes... Three men pull up in a plain US mail truck. They didn't ask us who we were, where we were going, & didn't give us any formal documentation. No business cards, no inventory sheet, literally nothing. They do a quick tour & start loading our stuff into the truck. Again not a single person kept records of boxes. One man also REEKED OF ALCOHOL. Rocket Moving clearing overbooked themselves & had to hire a separate company to finish the job. Trusting their company's name with random men who were not professional. After about 30 minutes of them loading our things & us panicking, we asked them to unload the truck. Everything was looking like a textbook scam. I am so thankful I spent a lot of time reading about tips, tricks, & scams with moving companies. They were going to load all of our stuff up, not have an inventory list, add other people's things to the truck (they admitted to this), throw it in a warehouse & then reload it into a different truck. Even though they told us our stuff was going to sit in the truck until it would be delivered. Because of their negligence we had to scramble to get a uhaul in time & drive ourselves, our four dogs, three other cars, & a baby to Texas during the intense July heatwave. It took 3 days to get to Texas. It was miserable. AND THEY NEVER CALLED TO APOLOGIZE!! They said they would have their supervisor call. We literally waited by the phone to try to get it sorted out. Never heard from them. There is NO one holding moving companies accountable. These are our belongings. Things we do not want broken or messed with by strangers. Things we have spent our hard earned money on. Our prior movers have put everything in a sealed pallet, made us sign for it, had detailed contracts in their hands as they arrived, & had someone keeping a detailed inventory list on a clipboard. We should have gone with Excalibur Moving Company. They were a tiny bit more expensive but they were wonderful when we arrived in Los Angeles. I hope Rocket Moving Company loses business from this review. Treat your customers better!!!!!!! read more

They came recommended to us as trustworthy, reliable, and great at what they do. Agree wholeheartedly, and happy to write a review to say so. Incredibly thorough, careful, considerate...these guys couldn't have done more for us if we'd asked. Communication was excellent. No hidden anything. Rocket is more expensive than the competition, but in this case you really do get what you pay for: top-notch service. (Specifically Diego, David and Jose...but I'd recommend the company as a whole.). read more

The movers were great and very professional and quick. I had a 4 bedroom house and a storage place and they did it in four hours. Edgar, Armando, ray and Fernando were awesome and I highly recommend them read more

Jay and his crew were awesome, a tremendous help during my move. My girlfriend and I both had a ton of stuff in our separate apartments to bring together, and they moved everything with care and great attention to detail. They were fast, efficient, and professional throughout the long day. Would highly recommend this service to anyone -- it's affordable, the customer service is excellent, and the crews (this is my second time using Rocket) are always top notch. We just moved our office into storage and I couldn't be more satisfied! Everything went according to plan and there were no surprises! Carlos and his crew were professional, fast, polite and very careful of all of items they moved. The whole operation was smooth from the free estimate to the last piece of furniture. They communicated during every phase of the job leaving me with confidence that the move will be very successful! And it was! Rocket not only exceeded my expectations, but from now on they are the only company I will use for any moves in the future. read more

I found Rocket Moving on Yelp and was impressed by their reviews. Coincidentally, my coworker also used them previously and said they were great. These guys are what you look for in a moving team. The quote was spot on, they worked fast, they were respectful. Our movers were very nice, packaged up all of our furniture safely, and we could tell they really cared about everything. Frequently consultative, they repeatedly checked in with me to be sure that everything was going where it needed to be, and, as a result, it left very little for me to do. Little touches, like wrapping delicate items and furniture securely or providing the wardrobe boxes, went a long way in making my move infinitely easier. They have been very efficient and hardworking- there's no way they could have done it any faster, super friendly, and thoughtful. Once again, everything went so smooth and quick, and I would definitely recommend them. This won't be the last time I'll be doing business with them. Thanks so much guys!!! read more

First time using a moving company. David and his crew did an awesome job! Initially I had some back and forth with the staff over the phone to sort out pricing and we ended up adding a third guy at the last minute (I was told 2 would be plenty), but it all worked out. The guys were efficient, professional, and worked very hard. David really knew how to best pack and protect my things. Great communication throughout the day. I would use them again. read more

Alberto and Armando were fantastic!! They came and immediately got to work, even helping me pack up whatever was not boxed yet. I felt like I was in competent hands and that they truly cared. They took time to disassemble and reassemble my furniture and transported it so carefully! They really don't make this caliber of individuals anymore. Truly exceptional service! Thank you!! read more

The price was reasonable and the guys where really nice. Surprisingly they were able to fit all my stuff in their truck. They helped pack some loose items and even provided boxes for free. When we arrived at the drop off location, they covered the wood floors with boxes to prevent any damage. The work was swift and they unloaded everything with ease. My only issue is although they offered to stage the boxes, they did not pay attention to which boxes where labeled fragile. Luckily nothing was broken. read more

Diego and his crew made our moving day a delight! They were so friendly, hard working, helpful, and thoughtful. Not a single piece of furniture scratched or a dish broken. They showed up early, had plenty of boxes for the last minute stuff that was hard to box, were careful with wrapping things, and didn't blink an eye when I asked them to move the heavier things up a set of stairs. So glad we booked them! read more

We used Rocket Moving on March 25th for a move in the same city, Moorpark to a new house in Moorpark. We had taken everything off the walls ourselves and had only 3 bedrooms upstairs and downstairs furniture to move. It's no wonder they charge by the hour because these guys will MAKE IT TAKE 12+ hours!!! It was seriously a joke! They wrapped up stuff that shouldn't even be wrapped up and took the tiniest furniture apart to waste time so they could rack up the price! I couldn't believe when it was going on the 12th hour and these guys still weren't done! They said they were going to show up at 8am. Didn't get there till 9:30am. Worst part of it all, my husband and I were waiting for them at the new house when they finally called and said they were making the 5 min drive over so we said okay we'll head back to the old house to clean it up (dust sweep) since we had to give over the keys to the new homeowners the next morning. Well we walked into a shock when we discovered the downstairs bathroom was flooded with sewer water that was flooding the whole downstairs! These guys had left the toilet overflowing clocked with massive amounts of toilet paper and didn't even warn us before we headed over! What were we suppose to do they had packed our plunger and everything! Luckily there was 1 cloth shower curtain left up so we used that to soak up some and our kind neighbor let us borrow towels. What an embarrassment! Only when we got back to the new house and they saw we were livid not only that they were still there and not done with this easy move job, not only because my kids were screaming tired wanted to go to sleep and they were taking their dear sweet time, but mainly for the fact that they didn't tell us we would have to be cleaning up their sewage and damaging the floors, then did "Rob" fess up and say "sorry about the toilet it was me". I couldn't believe it! Within 30 minutes of me saying why are you guys still not done, suddenly they were done with the move. Like they were just wasting time to clock in the hours. Then "Mr. clogs the toilet himself" hands my husband a bill for 4K for this move. Do NOT use rocket moving. I've been telling everyone that moves against them. I was so grossed out by them and offended they wasted our time, used us, and made us elbow deep in their mess, literally. read more

Actually, I use their service for already 5th time. Each time I met different crew members of this company, the interesting part is that all of them were very professional and responsible. We are also a 5 Star rated moving company out of Austin Texas. We understand how hard it is to maintain this type of reputation, so we sought out a similar company to assist in our project. We came into LA with 2 26 ft box trucks loaded with high end furniture. Our drivers were flying home so we needed a company with extra equipment and men to make the unload more efficient for our client. Booking was easy ! The person on the phone actually sounded like an American and was easy to understand. Other companies I talked to were difficult to understand. These movers showed up, on time, and did a fabulous job. The last time we did a similar project in Atlanta, that company showed up late, and didn't bring any equipment. We had to carry everything by hand.. It was a nightmare.. and it was embarrassing to our client. These guys worked hard, and made us look good to our client. Which was important to us. We would highly recommend Rocket Moving Services to anybody moving in the Los Angeles area. Thanks Guys !!! read more

I have used Rocket Movers multiple times over the years as I have typically been super happy with them (Shout out to my guy, Carlos, he's the best!) and their help so I was a little bummed with my most recent experience with them. First, they only sent two guys to handle a large one bedroom apartment, in the past I have had 3 show up so I was a bit caught off guard by this, not to mention it took an additional hour to complete. This included me jumping in and helping load things in my personal car. Second, the price. I was shocked at how much I was being asked to pay at the end. It was WELL over the estimate I was provided and a whole lot more than I have paid with them in the past. True, times are different with COVID and I am sure rental fees are up, but I was bummed how much I had to pay considering I probably would've save more time / money if I had an additional mover show up. read more

Carlos and his team were amazing to work with. They showed up on time, reviewed the pricing with us to make sure we were all on the same page and then they immediately went to WORK! We needed a full pack out and move with our 4bdrm townhouse that was three floors. The guys made sure to cover all of the appropriate walls and areas in the house so nothing was damaged and carefully packed all of our belongings. Not a single thing was broken or even scratched in the process! The team worked non stop all day long until the job was done. There were no hidden fees or charges for packing materials. They were upfront, honest and they were a pleasure to be around. Moving can be a stressful and chaotic experience but RocketMovers really made us feel like we were in good hands from start to finish. read more

A pretty bad experience overall. We moved a 5 bedroom house and I honestly believe I was taken advantage of. They arrived at 9am and by 2pm the only room fully packed was the one my wife and I packed up the week before ourselves. Between 2 and 6 they moved out the whole house and then from 6 to 9 they unpacked. So that first 5 hours was mostly to convince me we needed more people so they could bring the hourly rate up and get them into overtime rates. They definitely made it seem impossible to insure anything beyond the standard 60 cents a pound by not even bringing the issue up until the move was already started. Which is good for them because they damaged multiple pieces of furniture. Also they tried to cover it up by gluing stuff back together and not telling me about it. Then when we try to get in touch with them for damages it's weeks of saying they tried to call and never do, barely respond to emails, and claiming they have no record of the move. It was a miserable experience from beginning to end. I don't know how there are so many good reviews. --update-- they did eventually square away the compensation for damaged items. --update2-- I was contacted based on my review / situation and Arthur did attempt to make amends for my general disappointment with the whole situation. read more

We were referred to Rocket by friends that had a great experience with them. We could not have been more pleased. Everything went smooth from the booking, moving original date and the actual move. Diego and his team were great! They were able to move out and in within three hours (saving us so much time and money). Compared to the other moving companies that I called to get estimates, Rocket Moving was on the pricer side, but you get what you pay for. They were super efficient and fast. I highly recommend! Also, Rocket Moving was very good about reimbursing a damage that occurred during the move. The owner followed up and was able to send me a check for the cost to fix the damage. read more

These guys are GREAT! They took apart beds, removed TVs from the walls, etc. They were careful and respectful of my property and possessions.
