Frequently consultative, they repeatedly checked in with me to be sure that everything was going where it needed to be, and, as a result, it left very little for me to do. The price was reasonable and the guys where really nice. Surprisingly they were able to fit all my stuff in their truck. They helped pack some loose items and even provided boxes for free. When we arrived at the drop off location, they covered the wood floors with boxes to prevent any damage. The work was swift and they unloaded everything with ease. My only issue is although they offered to stage the boxes, they did not pay attention to which boxes where labeled fragile. Luckily nothing was broken. read more

We used Rocket Moving on March 25th for a move in the same city, Moorpark to a new house in Moorpark. We had taken everything off the walls ourselves and had only 3 bedrooms upstairs and downstairs furniture to move. It's no wonder they charge by the hour because these guys will MAKE IT TAKE 12+ hours!!! It was seriously a joke! They wrapped up stuff that shouldn't even be wrapped up and took the tiniest furniture apart to waste time so they could rack up the price! I couldn't believe when it was going on the 12th hour and these guys still weren't done! They said they were going to show up at 8am. Didn't get there till 9:30am. Worst part of it all, my husband and I were waiting for them at the new house when they finally called and said they were making the 5 min drive over so we said okay we'll head back to the old house to clean it up (dust sweep) since we had to give over the keys to the new homeowners the next morning. Well we walked into a shock when we discovered the downstairs bathroom was flooded with sewer water that was flooding the whole downstairs! These guys had left the toilet overflowing clocked with massive amounts of toilet paper and didn't even warn us before we headed over! What were we suppose to do they had packed our plunger and everything! Luckily there was 1 cloth shower curtain left up so we used that to soak up some and our kind neighbor let us borrow towels. What an embarrassment! Only when we got back to the new house and they saw we were livid not only that they were still there and not done with this easy move job, not only because my kids were screaming tired wanted to go to sleep and they were taking their dear sweet time, but mainly for the fact that they didn't tell us we would have to be cleaning up their sewage and damaging the floors, then did "Rob" fess up and say "sorry about the toilet it was me". I couldn't believe it! Within 30 minutes of me saying why are you guys still not done, suddenly they were done with the move. Like they were just wasting time to clock in the hours. Then "Mr. clogs the toilet himself" hands my husband a bill for 4K for this move. Do NOT use rocket moving. I've been telling everyone that moves against them. I was so grossed out by them and offended they wasted our time, used us, and made us elbow deep in their mess, literally. read more

We came into LA with 2 26 ft box trucks loaded with high end furniture. Our drivers were flying home so we needed a company with extra equipment and men to make the unload more efficient for our client. Booking was easy ! The person on the phone actually sounded like an American and was easy to understand. Other companies I talked to were difficult to understand. These movers showed up, on time, and did a fabulous job. The last time we did a similar project in Atlanta, that company showed up late, and didn't bring any equipment. I have used Rocket Movers multiple times over the years as I have typically been super happy with them (Shout out to my guy, Carlos, he's the best!) and their help so I was a little bummed with my most recent experience with them. First, they only sent two guys to handle a large one bedroom apartment, in the past I have had 3 show up so I was a bit caught off guard by this, not to mention it took an additional hour to complete. This included me jumping in and helping load things in my personal car. Second, the price. I was shocked at how much I was being asked to pay at the end. It was WELL over the estimate I was provided and a whole lot more than I have paid with them in the past. True, times are different with COVID and I am sure rental fees are up, but I was bummed how much I had to pay considering I probably would've save more time / money if I had an additional mover show up. read more

A pretty bad experience overall. We moved a 5 bedroom house and I honestly believe I was taken advantage of. They arrived at 9am and by 2pm the only room fully packed was the one my wife and I packed up the week before ourselves. Between 2 and 6 they moved out the whole house and then from 6 to 9 they unpacked. So that first 5 hours was mostly to convince me we needed more people so they could bring the hourly rate up and get them into overtime rates. They definitely made it seem impossible to insure anything beyond the standard 60 cents a pound by not even bringing the issue up until the move was already started. Which is good for them because they damaged multiple pieces of furniture. Also they tried to cover it up by gluing stuff back together and not telling me about it. Then when we try to get in touch with them for damages it's weeks of saying they tried to call and never do, barely respond to emails, and claiming they have no record of the move. It was a miserable experience from beginning to end. I don't know how there are so many good reviews. --update-- they did eventually square away the compensation for damaged items. --update2-- I was contacted based on my review / situation and Arthur did attempt to make amends for my general disappointment with the whole situation. read more

The four movers arrived on time and took extra care to pack and wrap all of the furniture items (more so than any other company I've used before). I had also corresponded with Robert at Rocket who helped me coordinate everything, he was so helpful and accommodating, even with all of the changes that were requested.
