I will use this company for every move I ever have. Not only were they HALF the price of NorthStar, but their service felt well..5 stars! I felt bad because I asked the guy on the phone about 5 times "what's the catch?" Because all they charged was $160 per hour for 3 guys...that's it. That paid for boxes, wrapping, tape, LABOR, all of it. Moving process is always stressful and takes some preparation. This time I was so overwhelmed with work that had no time to pack any of my stuff so I had to leave all the work for the movers. Rocket moving was amazing! I called on a Tuesday for a Friday move and they were able to accommodate my last-minute request. I spoke with Jesus who was extremely nice and helpful. Over all happy with Rocket Moving. The move took longer than expected (and more pricey being hourly) but these guys were busting their asses the whole time. My only complaint, once they left our new apartment, I went back to the old one to get my cat and noticed they hit something on the door frame. The frame and weather stripping was hanging off...sooo that's really annoying. I wish they would had mentioned if they hit something but oh well. Not the end of the world. They were good in terms of moving. I was not happy that the company sent us tired workers who hadn't slept... They came from a previous move they performed all night. I was really pissed when I found my Milwaukee tool box missing the only battery it had in it. They were the only ones who handled this besides me. No one ever touched this thing. It's always been in my house, and I know exactly what was in that tool case as I had handled the battery the previous week to charge it (cutting down something in prep for the move). When I opened it the same evening of the move (because it felt lighter) battery was gone. I am under a strong impression one of their workers stole it. I do not accuse people easily, only when shadow of doubt is gone. I had given them a 5 star rating, and tipped generously, but after discovering this, they deserve no more than two stars. This is not a reflection of the company, though, it is a reflection of the piece of sh*t scum worker who took it. I don't know if any of the others were complicit, but I can't maintain their 5 star rating. To their credit, they willingly moved a bunch of stuff at the destination and helped with something they didn't have to, thus, plus one star. To their credit, they didn't ding me with extra fees for this crap and that crap. I had one company quote me 430 for materials right off the bat which I think is absurd. Another wants to charge double drive time no matter that it's under 15 miles. read more

Hired Rocket Moving for a move from Hollywood to Encino . When the crew arrived they gave us a very accurate moving estimate . They were working hard and efficiently almost nonstop . I am updating this review because the owner did call to discuss what happened and I appreciate him reaching out to me. 1. As discussed with the owner, this review was made in principle for the unprofessional behavior and unexpected racist remarks that was spoken in a language that they didn't expect us to understand. 2. I was offered compensation to pay for the moving truck by the owner but refused his offer. The point of the review was to report a horrible experience, not to get anything from them. Nor would I accept this compensation after a plea to take down the review. 3. The point that my friends helped is moot. They arrived after the movers were gone. The only people at the house at the time was my family and the other gentleman that lived there. At the end of the day, using a policy doesn't excuse the racism and bigoted comments that were made. We are an interracial family and we were completely appalled by the behavior of these employees. In this day and age with everything going on in this world, it's just plain unacceptable. They came right on time at 9 am and got to work immediately. They worked almost nonstop for 8 hours like a moving machine :)). Called these guys to get a quote on moving a refrigerator but soon realized that they aren't really the best for small jobs. Totally fair. The one star comes into play because after conversing with them I realized that they have somewhat of a shady business practice. I think CA law requires employers to give 3 hour shift minimums when doing a days labor. This company takes that requirement and passes it onto customers. Which means that no matter what, you will be paying a minimum of 3 hours. For the most part, it is probably completely fine because most of you will have larger scale jobs where it will exceed this threshold; however, the fact that this company has this minimum really rubs me the wrong way and ultimately cheated. Phone call and this revelation lost the business for me. ** These guys just called me about my review - totally awesome and the right thing to do; however, completely missed the point and quickly felt like an attack. Called, got a general quote over the phone. Then I requested that someone come by in person. Got a call back from office saying that Jay could come out & meet us later that evening. Jay text me, gave me a time, was late, text me to ask if he could come a little later. I said yes, then never heard from him again. So in short. The estimator ditched the appointment he text me to make & I never got a call back from the office to follow up. So I just moved down the list to the next company. This was my first time moving with movers, and I was thrilled! Carlos and Ivan were so helpful and funny, which made a tedious task like moving enjoyable. I booked them the Monday before my move and was thrilled that they booked me an appt: two movers and a truck, plus supplies for wrapping, etc. I had packed almost everything, but they provided a few boxes (no charge) for wardrobe and the kitchen. Carlos was helpful in that he helped me organize some boxes to make the move smoother. For my one bedroom apartment, the total move took five hours - two out of the first location and three for the new location. Given my new spot has an elevator and is somewhat difficult to offload to, it was very speedy. I paid cash, so my rate was $75/hour. I will be calling them for any other moves I may have! read more
