Dining establishment is the Stoneside Diner and the Rock Store is the merchandise shop next-door for clarification. We stopped at this biker hotspot (I am not a biker and pulled up in my EV) deep in Agoura Hills for our first time this morning and had a very nice breakfast. It's definitely the sort of place that is filled with locals, far traveling bikers, and people searching for a Cheers type of experience where customers are called by their first name. All of the food is served on paper plates and it really feels like a camp experience in a sort of way. It's quite large on the inside and there are many different tables available. The kitchen is small and they only have one chef cooking, but he did a great job. Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. For my meal, I ordered the special of the day which was the Eggs Benedict and thought it was pretty good. Everything tasted kind of packaged versus made from scratch, but the eggs were perfectly runny and overall it had some nice flavors so I can't complain. We also got the Biker Breakfast and the eggs and bacon were very good. However, the pancakes were a bit dry and kind of cakey instead of fluffy. But still we had a nice meal and the drive out there alone is worth the visit. I would recommend to anyone in the area or to anyone searching for a place that requires a beautiful drive to get to it.

I went here for the hang out with other bikers and I was hoping to ride the snake, but it's closed a little deli they had inside seemed busy and people were eating outside on the patio under umbrella umbrellas, and they look like they were enjoying their food inside is pictures of all the famous people that have come by with signatures on them and I heard Jay Leno comes out and holds with a different bike or a car every time he shows up. It was a good ride where I was from where I was staying at and I had other things to do so I didn't stay long. I talked to the owner and he told me hopefully the snake will be open in September 2025 but we'll see you there in no rush as probably a lot of rookies end up dying on that road and they're not in a rush to get back to people crashing off the side.

Got to check off a few items in my bucket list yesterday. And our visit here (left San Diego at 4am sharp)- on a late Sunday morning- was definitely worth it. Prior to our visit, I already scoped out the parking situation for motorcycles. It is a very small lot- and if you're not fully aware- the paved parking is limited and gets cramped, real quick. Didn't realize til the day before- the cafe opens at 7am. But, when we arrived at 8am, we were able to snag curb side parking. I got the Biker Breakfast (2 pancakes- which I think had cinnamon batter), over medium eggs and crispy bacon. I ordered a side of hash browns with shredded cheese- because cheese is LIFE! The lady at the register was so friendly! If you walk up the steps- there's additional booths and wooden picnic tables to sit at. It's such a chill vibe- patrons are so friendly. Tons of different motorcycle enthusiasts. Single restrooms for men & women with an additional UNISEX. I was a bit bummed when I went to the souvenir shop. I was hoping to buy some rocks... like crystals or precious whimsical things... so, no rocks. Would definitely stop by again. Can never go wrong riding Mulholland Hwy towards Malibu. Shiny side up!!

Cool spot for bikers for sure. We were hoping to Stop off for a drink and some lunch after our hike. It's off mullholand, not in a residential area. You would have to know this place or stumble upon it. First impression, it seemed happening with all the bikers parked outside. Walked in hoping there was a bar which it looked like there was one outside but wasn't utilized. They did have a fridge inside with beer. Food wise, looked at the menu and wasn't to impressed. More of a diner type of place. There's plenty of seating outside which was great. People watching and mingling with the bikers. As this was a main stop along the road. Cool vibe and cool place. Not really a restaurant if your looking for something like that. Did notice a grill on the patio so they may have bbq but not sure.

This is a great motorcycle riding spot. The food at the diner is great for the price. I would say better priced and taste than Neptunes Net. Over-all a great atmosphere!! Food was made fast also

First time here and it did not disappoint. We had an amazing tour and learned so much history. If you belong here you can feel it. The pulled pork was absolutely delicious! Felt like being at a backyard bbq, but with friendly service. This will be a regular spot for us. Thank you for the hospitality!

Great little dive up in Topanga Canyon. I'm all for an understated dive bar where everybody knows your name kinda vibe. One of my favorite drives on a weekend. Cruise through Topanga canyon, pass the art wall & the flying pigs and you will come upon the rock store. They don't have anything on tap. Basic beer in bottles & a good stock of hard seltzers. Cheap and perfect! Regular hang out for bikers, but everyone is very friendly. Belly up to the outdoor bar and grab a drink and enjoy the scenery. They are also dog friendly on their patio which is a huge plus! They offer typical basic bar food in the Cafe that is attached to the bar. Pulled pork, burgers and fries. Haven't given the food a try yet but will once we go back for another drink. A great little spot to sip a drink and socialize a bit. Nothing fancy, older biker crowd and Plenty of patio seating with shade.

I don't blame these guys. They're a victim of the times. First CA closed Mulholland to stop people enjoying the road. Now COVID has everyone outside. The burger was pretty good. The bikes were cool. You couldn't help but feeling the scene is dying though.

Such an iconic place for a motor enthusiast like myself! I have heard about this place ,but this was my first time here. Located at the end or beginning of the famous snake road (whichever way you take it), it embodies the vision of a true biker pit stop! Originally a famous stagecoach stop Vern (Veronica) bought the Rock Store in 1961 with a solid vision of the future and what she knew it would become. She transformed the property into a small town grocery store and gas station with two retro pumps that still stand today (now non operational ,but great for photos). The property is now home to a quaint cafe and biker bar come here on the weekends to meet some of the top "who's who" in the moto world!! The food simple ,but hits the spot. I really loved my patty melt and would recommend it to all that come. It's fast and quick with a kind staff. I want to come here for breakfast the menu looked spot on for my liking! Both Rich and his mother Vern (the owners) were there. It happened to be her birthday-- lots attended for the special occasion and it made my first time something truly special ! Rich and his wife give tours and went out of their way walking us around and sharing with us the knowledge of the past, present, and future! The Rock Store is a remarkable place- never before have I been to a place like this and I am looking forward to returning!!

    Eric L.

Spent $45 on breakfast, realized we didn't have water, didn't have cash, and they did not have any tap water to give out, so only option was to buy a bottle, but there is. $4 card minimum. The water was only $1, they wouldn't give us a water. Forced us to buy at the $4 minimum. Seriously?

My morning drives are complete without a playful photo.

I drive Mulholland Dr from Old TopangaCanyon every Sunday and love stopping by the Rock Store. I try to get there before all the motorcycles get there around 8am. The menu is simple and affordable. Coffee is good and the people are friendly. It feels a little bit like you're not in LOS ANGELES but you're reminded when the various car clubs pass by. Good for a date or alone. Fun driving up there too!!

The vibe is industrial and low-lit, like the kind of bar where the walls have stories but won't snitch. Small space, metal-and-concrete aesthetic, but somehow still warm and cozy. Perfect for a date night or a "let me mentally unpack my life over cocktails" hang with my best friend. What keeps me coming back? The bartenders actually listen. I can walk up and give the vaguest description -- "classic but not sweet, strong but not too whiskey-forward, smooth but still gives main character energy" -- and they'll just... create it. They've made me drinks that aren't even on the menu -- Army Navy, Aviation, etc. -- and every single one was spot on. They always manage to find the right drink for me, which is honestly a skill more people should have. The servers are genuinely nice, the liquor selection is solid, and the energy is chill without being pretentious. I've also heard there's a speakeasy hidden in here somewhere, and trust me, one day I'll find it like I'm unlocking a side quest. Definitely one of my favorite bars in Thousand Oaks -- industrial vibes, great people, and bartenders who match drinks to my personality better than most men can.

I was hit with valet parking ($7 charge) as soon as I arrived so I was a little worried it might be a little snooty but the vibe was super casual once we were inside. After parking we made our way into the ordering area which has both a food ordering section and bar section. The menu is fairly basic but there are options for just about everyone from salads and paninis to pizzas. I got a pepperoni pizza and a red sangria while my husband got a chicken Caesar salad. The salad was pretty typical, nothing standout about it. But the pizza was actually pretty good. It has a very thin, cracker-like crust and decent flavors. After ordering at the counter, you take the buzzer and go grab a table in one of their many seating areas. I first stopped by the bar area to grab my sangria though. Even for a busy Easter Sunday, there was more than enough seating for all the people there. Take my advice and do a lap so you know where to sit before committing to a spot. We sat right up front where everyone else was. But after eating , I took my sangria and went on a stroll through the little vineyard and other seating areas there. You truly feel like you stepped into Disneyland or Italy when you are there. It's this beautiful little working vineyard in the middle of Westlake Village. Prices were a little steep for the food quality but the ambiance was totally worth it. They even had a live jazz trio playing which added to the vibe. There were tons of families having lunch there and I think that on a normal weekend this place is probably a great spot to come with a group of friends for a little day drinking and wine tasting.

Waited in line to order at 10.40am, how about some pizza which is clearly written as a lunch menu that begins at 11:00 a.m.? Waited in line to order wasting 20 minutes only for the cashier to say that pizza will not be served for another hour and that the pit is closed. Then why the fuck do you put it on your lunch menu and state that lunch begins at 11:00 a.m.? You cannot order any lunch items before 11:00. You cannot order any breakfast items after 11:00. I was there at 10:40 and they wouldn't even put it in or grant my request of simply starting a lunch order at 11:00 as long as I get the order in and pay so I don't have to wait in line again all over. Easy one (actually not even one just left) and done after the cashier seems to enjoy my suffering on Mother's Day with a group of people looking at me as I expressed my frustration that I could not order what I wanted when I wanted even if it was on time or not. There's alway that nice factor of trying someplace new. This was a find from one of our friend…read more Which was also a hit from another friend who's dined before. We had a dinner reservation last Saturday which we showed up a little early to have a cocktail before hand. It's located inside of a strip mall with loads of parking. A decent size patio seating. When you walk in, you're greeted with the hostess who were amazing. Right infront of you is the bar area. That itself isn't big at all. There's a few seat along the bar area and that's about it. Also inside dining isn't big as well. Restaurants wasn't massive but nice and quaint and very busy. We were told that if we wanted to grab a drink and take it outside to a spot while we wait for our table it would be fine. They would come get us once it's ready. Cocktails and wine menu was quite nice. They do allow you to bring up to two bottles for a corkage fee. Which we did take advantage of. But beforehand, started off with their smoke and sour cocktails. Mezcal, lime, hibiscus juice, farm egg whites and cherry bitters. It was quite delicious and that smoked mezcal, wow. If you like mezcal, it's worth trying. Bar area isn't big so we had to stand there and wait for our drink. Maybe a 10 to 15 minutes later, we were informed our table was ready. We were seated right behind the bar area for a table for four. I believe Jonathan was our waiter. Very sweet and friendly. Also, it did seemed like a lot of regulars. All the staff members seem to know everyone that was dining. Menu is limited but quite impressive. We started off with a few shared plates before the entrees. -Ember roasted red beets with preserved lemon crèma, spiced pumpkin seeds, pickled Fresno chilis and mint. Wow, it was delicious. The flavors with the beets, kiss kiss. -Smoke trout toast- blisters cherry tomatoes, candy beets, wild arugula, crème fraiche and lemon. This was top dish for starters from all of us. The flavor of the trout was the star of the dish. Highly recommend. -Mushrooms flatbread- shiitake, buna shimeji and oyster mushrooms, tarragon, fiore di Latte mozzarella and crème fraiche. Mushrooms lovers with amazing variety all combined together for a delicious bite. -Spicy scampi flatbread- rock shrimp, parsley, garlic, Calabrian chilis and parmigiano reggiano. It's literally having a seafood scampi but on a flatbread. Wow wow, favorite out of the two flatbread. Definitely recommend. Entrees, Manila clams and salt spring mussels tossed in spaghetti with Calabrian chilis and parsley. The flavors were excellent. Simple but very tasty. -Crispy gnocchi with cherry tomatoes, basil in a Parmesan fondue. It's alway a hit or miss for me but this was a hit. And the elk which was maybe a special. Not quite sure the whole description but it was very tasty. Plus it was very tender and cooked perfectly and mixed with a sauce and topped with crispy onions. Another hit. Lastly we actually had room left for dessert which was the bread pudding. Hot with a nice scoop of vanilla ice cream. Perfect way to end an amazing meal. The service was great. Food was excellent and highly recommended. Each dish had its unique taste that was delicious. Everything ordered was outstanding and no crumbs were left. We would definitely be back.

The food is inspired, and insanely delicious. The people are the best (great seeing you, Annie! Sorry I missed you, Vicki!). 8:15pm and still a lively crowd inside, everyone enjoying themselves. Naveed took care of me at the bar where I began with the perfectly prepared Moody Rooster Old Fashion. Added to that Just a couple appetizers this time: the Burrata and Artichoke, and the Sea Bream crudo. The former had a beautiful burrata mound atop artichoke hearts, pine nuts, and olive oil. Perfect blending of flavors. The crudo was equally well-received. An ample pile dressed up in the center of a shallow bowl, with plenty of olive oil, as opposed to being slices merely laid flat on a plate. Fortunately I'll be back in the area in a week. can't wait to return!
