Rock's rental has great equipment quality, however be sure to video tape the entire for damages before taking off of his lot. I rented a jet ski and was very careful to make there was no damage during our use. Not even a small scratch. When I came back they looked under the hull and there was about a 2" strip of chips and black marks going from side to side. I knew if we had hit anything the marks would have been from front to back.They showed me a very grainy, shadowing video of underside of the hull that was taken before I took it. Very difficult to see, but the owner said it showed no damage, and I would have to pay for entire hull to be redone. Very expensive! I knew we didn't cause the damage and asked him to show me the rest of the video. It clearly showed the damage was there before I took the jet ski. Thank God I was persistent or I would have been paying for damages I didn't do. Please protect yourself and video tape the entire unit( underside also) when renting from Rock's Rental read more

So when the husband got here, he proceeded to add on $279 for delivery and I had been told that it was included. We rented a Polaris 600 2 up for a 3 day weekend and really put the miles on. No issues what so ever. In fact everything in his shop looks immaculately maintained. Helmets were warm and once I set the vents they worked well. We opted out of the insurance at $1000 deductible. Upon returning out sled, Paul was nice enough to give us a ride (15 miles away) back to our hotel. So no need to tell you how awesome the service is there. He is honest, helpful, and has always provided us with great sleds, snowmobile gear, and service. The one time I had a minor issue with one of my rented sleds, I called Paul and he was out to help me resolve the issue in less than 30 mins. Paul is also very fair, and has never attempted to pass along normal machine wear or general maintenance costs of his snowmobiles on to us, as some of his previous local competition had been known to do... We rented one snowmobile and it broke within 2 hours of having it. They brought us a new one to exchange that one had problems too and when we brought it to them to show them in the morning they told us that it was our fault that we must have rolled it or crashed it into a tree because the handle bar was messed up and the wires were showing yet that was something they didn't fix from something before. So this place sucks! And the two helmets we rented from them both suck when it's cold. They freeze up right away! Can't see a dang thing. Go somewhere else. Avoid them!!!!! read more

We just rented some Waverunners from Paul's over the weekend; no complaints about the products- we got them they worked well, we had fun. My complaint is about the billing. There is a hidden 3.5% surcharge when you use a credit card, and they really don't offer any other way to pay. Although they call it a "convenience charge", I am sure they are just charging the consumer for their expense from Visa/Mastercard. It is their cost of doing business, and there is NOTHING on the website notifying customers, although there is a small print sign once you get onsite in the office. Leaves a bad taste in your mouth, but if that's what they want to do, their choice. 3.5% of $440 in rentals is about $15. That I can handle, but the real issue is that they charge it on the refundable $1000 deposit, and the tax! That's $35 for what? And guess what- they don't refund it when they return the deposit. They need to be smarter and care more about their customers- there is no need to incur the charge on a deposit - run a credit slip and keep it in the desk drawer, suggest customers write a check for the deposit, lots of better ways. read more

I rent from Paul on a regular basis, including boats, snowmobiles, yard equipment, etc. He is fair and sets the right expectation. No surprises and his equipment always works! I will continue to rent from him. My only wish is he would offer insurance on snowmobile rentals (he may but last time I checked insurance was not offered). read more
