SUPER SKETCHY! DO NOT RENT FROM! Terrible experience. Called and notified us that they would drop a day off the reserved 3-day rental due to poor weather conditions. Both parties agree to reconnect the next day to review a possible 2-day rental if weather conditions improved. He then calls the next day to ask why we didnt pick up the rental the prior day (that they cancelled), went back against his word said he would be billing for all 3 days as it was our fault for not picking up the rentals AND his "system" would not allow him to refund or change any reservations. We fully canceled the rental due to poor and shady business practices and rented somewhere else (Go to Tracksides instead). Boat Sport calls back 45 minutes later now wanting to negotiate "a new deal" and would now (again) honor a 2-day rental and not charge for Friday but we had already gone with another rental place. Next day places a charge against the credit card for thousands of dollars for a 3-day rental and full deposits. Called and they would not discuss details. Talked over us and stated everything was documented, it was their policy and he was entitled to all the money even though no services were rendered. The workers in this shop need to keep their political views to themselves. They also need to stop talking when someone indicates they don't appreciate the way a conversation is going. Being disrespectful is unacceptable. We used to get everything from there. From snacks to gas to boat parts. We will never set foot in the store or at the gas pumps again. Staff was friendly, and a thorough look-over of the boat was performed before we used it to note any defects already present. Paint was missing from the propeller. When we returned, apparently more paint was missing from the propeller, although we never ran the boat aground, staying in deep water throughout the whole day. Because additional paint was missing, they charged us an additional $90. Seemed unreasonable. Subsequently contacted business about excessive fee, received no reply, so changed rating from three stars to one star. read more

we used this marina to put in our jet ski while staying at a resort on the Chain of Lakes. They couldn't have been nicer about helping us navigate the process, even backing up my car/trailer when I returned to pick up the jet ski. Luke was very professional and helped with directions, advice and was just generally a gentleman. We wouldn't hesitate to go here again or rent from them. read more

I took my boat here at the end of last year to have some work done and they stated they fixed it. I took it out the first time this year and had the same issue. I gave them a call and they stated to swing by and they will take care of it for me since it was never originally fixed. The next day they told me they could not recreate the problem so they found nothing wrong and I came and picked up my boat. The next day I got a text stating it was done and ready for pick up along with a $150 bill. They charged me $150 to diagnose the problem by starting the boat 30 times, stated they were unable to diagnose, and still made me pay when nothing was done or fixed. The staff refused to reason with me and argued with me till I felt I had no choice but to pay for nothing. Never go here. read more

Rented snowmobiles for the day from this company and had a great experience! Tons of trail options, machines were in great shape, and the staff were all very friendly. Gas prices to have them refill at the end were very close to the same as surrounding gas stations. No problems with pick up or return. Highly recommend! read more

Rented a deck boat from here, and it was a VERY pleasant experience. We have rented from a different marina prior to this, and still have the burn marks. Here they were pleasant start to finish, and when we chewed up the prop they sent a guy out to fix it - promptly. Yes, we paid for the service, but felt it was a fair price. I rented the semi-delux fishing boat which has a 25 HP motor. The boat could not get up on plane and was slow as a turtle. Took it back and asked if something wrong. The person who addressed my concern said that he was not surprised and it's just a matter of lack of power. I raised the issue when I returned the boat and was thanked for letting them know. They should not be charging $175/day for a boat/motor combo that won't get up on plane. It's not rocket science! read more

I would not recommend this business to anyone. My family rented a pontoon for the week. When we returned the pontoon at the end of the week, we were charged for replacing the prop, which they claimed was chipped. I just wonder how many people are charged for unneeded replacement parts. Sounds like a scam to me! read more

Super expensive, fuel and oil at the end of journey was outrageous. Indifferent staff. Felt very much like they did not much care about anything but getting the most possible profit. Nice boat, but not worth $300 for the day. Inconvenient hours - would have liked earlier start and later turn in. Would not repeat the experience with them. Lakes are wonderful. read more

I'm beginning to think this place is a SCAM! Rented a 150hp speed boat over this past weekend. The young man (high school age?) was VERY nice and we went over any chips, dents (some on the outboard motor's propeller), missing paint and any equipment that was added to the boat. They took pictures on an Ipad. Had the boat out for about 5 hours, we hit NOTHING, brought it back, and the same nice young man told me that he saw a few dents on the propeller but it would be fine and I wouldn't be charged. Another older girl (maybe high school senior?) brought out the Ipad, told me I "dented" the propeller on the outboard motor. She then called another girl (probably another high school senior) that took a look and wasn't sure. So she called a manager (probably a guy in his late 50's early 60's) who looked at it and looked at it and finally said that it was so badly dented that they had to "rebuild" it!!! They proceeded to tell me that it would cost me an additional $90!!! Funny thing. Last year, on the exact same weekend, I rented from them and they claimed I lost a bumper (there were supposedly 4 of them in our boat. I'll be honest. I didn't count them on the way out but I KNOW we DID NOT lose one.) So the lesson to be learned from renting from them is to TAKE YOUR OWN PICTURES!! We believe the pictures they showed us were from a while ago and they were trying to scam us out of more money to fix the dents! I also agree with the reviews saying gas is TOO EXPENSIVE! The entire ordeal cost me $130 extra!!! I'm a single mom and it was all I could do to fight back my tears in front of my kids!!! I have three jobs and that $130 took me 13 hours to earn - gone in an instant!!! read more

Meh. I've experienced better. That's what the 2 stars stand for. We were going to rent snowmobiles on a Saturday and had made the arrangements more than a week before. Unfortunately we weren't going to make it so I cancelled on the Monday before. They kept $150 even though they told me they wouldn't have a problem re-renting them due to the New Years holiday weekend. I would agree if you cancel and they can't rent them that they charge you, but if they can easily rent them then they shouldn't charge you. A policy like this will make me stay away in the future.
