Along the way, I confused my pickup date to be one day later than my actual pickup. When Lakeside called on my actual delivery date, I wasn't able to pickup the boat and without hesitation delivered the boat the following day with no additional costs or hassles. The person dropping the boat was terrific. He helped us inspect the boat, showed us how to operate, and quickly sent us on our way making sure we don't have any questions. Pickup up and delivery were right on time so we weren't left waiting at the boat landing. The pontoon boat was clean and well maintained with a 90 HP Mercury engine that worked flawlessly every time. We were able to water ski without too much trouble...some wanted a faster boat. 90 HP was fine...move to a 150 HP for a quicker start or just opt for a ski boat. We wanted both living room style comfort and sport for this trip. My final invoice didn't have any surprise costs and the gas cost was surprisingly cheap for the three days of fun. While renting this pontoon boat wasn't cheap with a average daily cost of $465/day (90 HP motor, gas, ski's, prop insurance, fence lake drop off, and taxes), we had a fun everyday without the hassle of boat ownership. It has been a few months since my family and I rented a pontoon boat, and I still get disgusted every time I think about it. These people are CROOKS, be very cautious when renting a boat from them. In fact, I would take photos of the boat and a video before leaving the dock. My family and I rented a pontoon boat for a week. We are experienced boaters (own three boats), very respectful people, and treated the boat as if it were our own. When we went to return the boat, the girls at the marina tried to charge us for every minuscule marking, scratch, and dent on the boat that were there when we rented it. They made a huge list of items they claimed were our wrongdoing. These charges were obscene and completely unjustifiable. We have been renting pontoon boats in Eagle River for the last ten years (never before from this place), and never had such a horrific experience. When we disputed the claims with the manager , an accusatory stance was taken. They told us that they would charge our credit card and there was nothing that we could do about it. Eagle River Marine has the worst customer service ever!!!! I will never rent a boat from them again, and would not recommend them to anyone. They are awful people and this was an awful experience. Already with bids from competitors, we asked our boat dealer -- with no skin in the game -- for recommendations, and he specifically suggested that Floe makes good lifts. That led us to speaking with Adam and his family at Lakeside. The team was patient with all our questions. They even performed a last-minute change to the sidedness of the lift when we decided to reconfigure our dock. And our new Floe lift works well and looks great -- thanks, Lakeside!

I looked for a local dealer that I could establish a relationship with. After talking with a couple folks in the area between Minocqua and Eagle River, I came across Lakeside Dock and Lift in Minocqua. I stopped in their store and was happy to find this was a well-equipped dealer with lots of docks and accessories available. I purchased a new canopy for my lift from Lakeside and what I got was a first-class product and it fit perfectly. After seeing many of my neighbors with power lifts, I decided to go back to Lakeside to look at what they had to offer. I was surprised (and happy) to see Andy Passow handling sales for Lakeside. As with every other time I have had dealings with Andy previously at a local snowmobile dealer, Andy has taken good care of me every time I've needed something. This time was no exception. I told him what I was looking for and he pointed out everything I needed and said they had everything in stock, and he could have it installed quickly. My lake home on Lake Minocqua is my weekend getaway, so I'm not typically there during the week. Andy said "that's not a problem", in a few days he sent one of their techs over during the week to my house with all the equipment and installed everything perfectly! When I returned the next weekend, everything was installed and waiting for me. Andy made everything quick and easy and my summers of manually cranking my lift up and down are over! The power lift worked perfectly and since Lakeside added that to my lift last summer, I can raise my boat out of the water without leaving my seat! If you need ANYTHING for a boat lift, Andy Passow and Lakeside Dock and Lift is the only place I would go! Give Andy a call, you'll be glad you did!

The cabin was very clean and nicely accented with Northwoods touches. There was a guide book in the cabin that explained everything you could imagine doing in the area - a great resource! Each cabin has their own dock and campfire pit complete with comfortable adirondack chairs and free firewood. There is plenty of yard space for activities, and each cabin has a picnic table and charcoal grill. We were able to spend time on the water using the kayaks, canoes, and rowboats that are available at the resort. The resort is located close to town - just a few miles from Manitowish Waters. The resort has a variety of bikes available to guests, so we grabbed some one morning and biked into town to enjoy coffee at the local coffee shop. Manitowish Waters also has a grocery store and lots of great restaurants. The area is also known for its bike trails - there is a scenic, winding (and paved!) bike trail that runs through Manitowish Waters that you can take to the nearby town of Boulder Junction and beyond. Our experience was superb! The cabin is a great value for the location and quality. Would highly recommend as an awesome place to bring your whole family to make great memories. So many activities and fun things to do! We are already planning our return visit. Make your reservations early because they do book up quickly.

Both parties agree to reconnect the next day to review a possible 2-day rental if weather conditions improved. He then calls the next day to ask why we didnt pick up the rental the prior day (that they cancelled), went back against his word said he would be billing for all 3 days as it was our fault for not picking up the rentals AND his "system" would not allow him to refund or change any reservations. We fully canceled the rental due to poor and shady business practices and rented somewhere else (Go to Tracksides instead). Boat Sport calls back 45 minutes later now wanting to negotiate "a new deal" and would now (again) honor a 2-day rental and not charge for Friday but we had already gone with another rental place. Next day places a charge against the credit card for thousands of dollars for a 3-day rental and full deposits. Called and they would not discuss details. Talked over us and stated everything was documented, it was their policy and he was entitled to all the money even though no services were rendered. Kept changing his story - flip flopping and didn't keep his word. SUPER SKETCHY! DO NOT RENT FROM!

Carmen there said she had one sled left as there was a cancellation. We reserved it and went to pick it up. Oh boy what a blast we had thet weekend. The snowmobile was practically brand new and ran great. The guy who briefed us on it's operation was quick, yet thorough. We even extended our rental for an extra day. Josh and his staff have a great business and although this is the first winter rental we have had, we rely on Boulder Marine for our summertime needs as well. I certainly recommend them and will be back in the spring.
