Tonight was my first time here. Its very dark inside and that made me unsure of this place, but I went in anyways, and I had a great experience. I'm terrible with names, but a young man with blonde curly hair helped me choose a roll for takeout. He was very kind and helpful. It is almost always a long wait at this restaurant, but our most recent visit was a little absurd. Only us (2) and one other table (2) were in the restaurant and we still somehow waited 30 minutes. The workers seemed to be standing there not doing anything but I didn't want to jump to conclusions. Turns out an employee comes after we had been waiting 20 minutes and starts making the food. I'm not sure why the other employees were unable to make the food but they left shortly after. It seemed nobody started working until they had a line of people waiting for to-go orders. Keep in mind we only ordered 3 of their basic rolls, two of which were the same. The server then did not know which roll was which so she had to ask the cook. Unfortunately after all of this the rolls were smushed and unfilled. One of them was maybe 1/4 the size of a normal sushi roll! This establishment is fast, fresh and delicious. I visited this place a few days ago and the take out was beyond good. I ordered the hibachi lobster and shrimp. It came with fried rice, a salad and veggies. The food tasted fresh, the customer service was amazing and the quality of the food was not that Of "take out" but of a traditional hibachi style restaurant.....but without the chef cooking in front of you. The chopsticks were definitely high quality; I know that might not be a big deal to some but it's nice when you can hold a pair of chopsticks and not worry about getting splinters. The rainbow roll was overall good, but they were a *little* skimpy with the fish on the top. The salmon nigiri was fresh. 1st time was lunch with my daughter. Enjoyed it with the exception of loud music. Which made conversation difficult. And it was lunch we enjoyed it. Tonite how ever took my wife pictures will follow. My wife had beef tataki 9.95. Was very tender. She enjoyed . So did I. I had what they called twisted tuna 9.95. I really enjoyed. Then my wife ordered her chicken teriyaki with choice of soup or salad. she chose salad which she could not eat so I did. Lol ginger dressing I enjoyed alot. My meal came also. 3 rolls ( they are very large ) 1. Eel roll. Std eel roll but I love eel 2. Standard spider roll which I also love. Now the funky. Over have the menu is named after rock n roll bands and individuals. 3.The cindi roll. It was huge . But I was stuffed after all the other and half this particular roll. But I believe I will call owner tomorrow so hopefully they can address it to help whom ever constructed them . I dont want to have a person reprimanded. Just maybe trained. ADDENDUM: I was so ill Friday and Saturday! Stomach upset and green diarrhea! If I could give this place a zero, I would! DO NOT EAT HERE!!! I'd rather eat sushi from a truck-stop bathroom vending machine than ever eat here again!!! A friend of mine was dining and he said that he and his girlfriend couldn't understand each other and they were sitting together in a booth. The place wasn't busy but it took a while for my order to appear. I left and took it home. I played it and noted that it all looked super-small. The jalapeno is fresh and not cooked much at all and I would say get these because they are GREAT. Basically it is a jalapeno cut in half, cleaned and stuffed with cream cheese. On top of that is crab meat and it is heated to melt the cream cheese somewhat. again these are excellent. The sushi was good but nothing special. We had the Heart Roll and it was good, the Spicy Shrimp Roll was not spicy not even a tiny bit, the Spicy Crawfish roll was great.I would buy either the heart roll or the crawfish roll again. The place is small and we came for a late lunch, about 1:45 and behind us the place filled up. The service was fast, the drinks were re-filled and the rock n roll decor was nice. My friend and I came here pretty excited about this place opening up- I've only heard good things. The menu and inside of the restaurant definitely go with the theme but the taste of the food was kind of bland. My miso soup tasted like it came from one of those powdered packets you could buy at the Asian market and my sushi (Madonna roll) tasted kind of bland. My friend got a Def Leppard roll which she thought was pretty good and another basic roll- which I can't even recall what it was. Nothing stood out. The staff and service is great but the food did not stand out to me. For the quality, the price seems kind of high but it's average to your other sushi restaurants. I will probably try this place again in the future just to see if it was an off day but I'd definitely recommend other places first to anyone looking for sushi. read more

The service was good. Our server was friendly and attentive. The dining room, although clean, was cold and dark and not too inviting. The large celebrity posters were similar to Mose. It could be better. The real issue was the food. We had a Ginger Salad. The salad dressing had very little flavor but tons of sesame seeds. It isn't hard to make ginger salad dressing with some real peppy flavor but they failed on that count. I am unable to eat gluten so there was not much to eat that did not include batter or Imitation "Krab" I ordered three rolls. The vegetarian roll was mediocre. Not that good. The Boston Roll was a little better but still a bit bland. The better one was the Spicy Crawfish simply because it had yum yum sauce on it. Mostly they were dry and there was no gluten free soy sauce. I had to slather eel sauce on them. I did not end up eating most of it. Conversely, my companion had a Metallica Roll and loved it.
