I decided on a whim to come get some lunch today and my god! Yall just can't beat the price for the product they offer. I never had to wait longer than 10 seconds before any server or worker came by to check on me. Wasabi has an awesome staff, they are very attentive and professional. The quality of food is very high. The ambiance inside is just okay, which is why I dropped a star. There are no hibachi tables and seating at the sushi bar is limited to 4 chairs. During our dine in, locals seemed to picking up take out rather than dining in. My family and I went on 07/19/25 and the staff were so friendly. The lunch menu is very affordable and delicious! It was busy when we walked in, but the host was able to put a table together and get us seated really quickly! The server saw my parents opening a card and gave us a free dessert! We didn't even mention we were at lunch to celebrate their wedding anniversary. I wish I could remember the server's name, but he was very nice and patient. Great food, great service! read more

This was probably our sixth time to visit Wasabi for early dinner, and, as usual, it was OUTSTANDING. The sushi is as delicious as it is beautiful. The Armageddon toll and crunchy roll (shrimp tempura) were so delicious. The chicken katsu was more than enough to share among three people and was perfectly prepared. Came with delicious salad and amazing soup (opted for egg drop, but both it and the miso are top-notch). We always get the calamari appetizer -- tempura calamari prepared in the most delightful way with sliced jalapeños, onions and peppers. Servers are always a delight. After a quick gym sesh, I wanted to grab something nearby, so I tried Wasabi which was in walking distance of the gym. I ordered online for pickup on their website and the wait time was pretty short. The promise time was within 15 minutes which was accurate. An employee brought the food out to my car. I was surprised because the chirashi entrees came with clear soup which I wasn't aware of (the online ordering system didn't give me an option to choose between miso or clear), but my requested side sauces weren't in the bag so I did have to go back and ask for them before driving home. Everything looked really tasty, but when I was going for my first bite, I noticed that the sushi rice in my chirashi was cold which is a huge deal for me. Rice should never be served cold! The jalapeño hamachi was okay.. the fish wasn't very fresh which was disappointing as well because hamachi is one of my favorite fish. Even the tuna wasn't fresh as I noticed that they use frozen tuna instead of fresh tuna. The best things were the clear soup and philly roll.. The sushi here isn't the best, but it's also not the worst -- it's mediocre at best. But I'm most likely not returning on my next trip to Ocean Springs. read more

We use to love eating at Wasabis until they cheated us $30 of what we ordered after going up there TWICE to pick it up and never got a refund. We were already having a rough day and thought ordering from them would end a bad day on a better note. Bad idea. When we first made our order and picked it up, they gave us someone else's order. We called and they seemed apologetic and said we could keep what they gave us but we couldn't eat the wrong order we were given anyways as it was raw sushi so that got thrown away. Okay, mistakes happen, I get it. I didn't make a big fuss or anything because I understand stuff happens. So my husband made another 40 minute trip back up there, and the man checked everything off the list to make sure it was all in the bag. Unfortunately, it was wrong AGAIN because apparently the new person typed in the online order ticket wrong so we were still missing 2 sushi rolls. I called back up there yet again and simply asked for my money back for the food we never got and the 20% tip we gave because the service was poor and ruined our night. They never refunded the dessert that was out of stock so I paid $7 for nothing and then 2 sushi rolls that we never got as well as a 20% tip for bad service. I Called them 2 weeks later saying we never got the refund and they assured me they would but they never did. If they made it right and refunded us what we paid for the missing items, it would be a bit different. But that didn't happen. read more

Wasabi was amazing. I'll start with our server Joe or Joseph was literally amazing so sweet, so calm, very attentive but not annoying, and very knowledgeable. The food was soooo flavorful the first time I ever had a fried rice that didn't need soy sauce or anything added. I got the hibachi steak and chicken lunch absolutely amazing. The ambiance very calm, relaxing, you can actually have a conversation and not have to yell because so much was going on. If you are in the area I highly recommend. Wasabi is one of the best sushi spots with great service! We dine here quite often, but this past weekend we decided to have Wasabi cater our family party. We ordered a sushi tray as well as fried rice and yaki soba trays. All of our food was exceptional but the yaki soba was the first to go! 10/10 recommend! read more

My husband and I LOVE this restaurant. We have never had bad service and the food is always amazing. It's been a while since we have been here because we live about 30 minutes away but we wanted something delicious so we made the commute. The best seat in the house is at the sushi bar. The chefs are so much fun to talk to. Our chef offered us a newer spin on the salmon nigiri. He put the salmon over rice and torched the top then added eel sauce, crisps, onion, and another sauce I am unfamiliar with. It was fantastic and will be a new favorite to order when we come back. Hands down some of the best sushi on the coast. I honestly can't think of another place that does it better than Wasabi. Highly recommend you try this restaurant. 10/10 read more

My 4 star rating is for the sushi, noodle dishes, and service! I haven't been to Wasabi in a while, but I always leave with a positive experience here and the food has always been good and fresh. We came in for dinner around 5, quick tip they do close in the afternoon to get ready for dinner. The place filled up pretty quickly as soon as we came in. We ordered 3 rolls (as pictured) and noodle bowls (super huge!!). The sushi was fresh and perfect size (meaning there wasn't too much rice on there and it wasn't too big for my mouth, lol). Our server was super attentive as well, I had my 2 nieces with me that night so we had a lot going on in the dinner table but they were accommodating to provide kid friendly stuff! Will definitely be back to try more of their sushi and I'll have to try the hibachi next time! It was also a plus that they issued a 15% discount on our dinner ticket! Good sushi, an actual show when you order hibachi, and a nice staff. Wasabi may not be the best Sushi restaurant in Ocean Springs, but it's certainly up there and in my rotation of sushi restaurants. The food takes longer than I'd like but that's not really a big deal. Nothing here is going to wow you, but it's clean enough and the service is decent enough (if not attentive) that your dining experience should be pleasant. read more

Update. This was my favorite Japanese cuisine eatery. Not quite as good as it once was. Soup was lukewarm. House rolls have shrunk significantly. Order extra so you don't leave hungry. Diners get served behind take out orders. Still lacking gluten free soy sauce and out of eel sauce. Probably try Saki if you crave sushi. read more

This is one of my favorite sushi restaurant on the coast! The service and food is great. Steven always treats us so well every time we come in! I love the Rock n Roll , Volcano roll and their Bulldog roll (not listed on the menu but when we request for it, they have no problems making it for us)! Finally a Japanese cuisine nearby that actually tasted AWESOME! Located along highway 90 / Bienville Blvd. Walking in, the place looked a little small but considering the multiple tables for the hibachi grill it's a pretty decent size place. There are no walls / curtains to separate the sushi area to the hibachi area to the non-hibachi area. We sat at the non-hibachi area so we can still see everything. The tables were kind of small so it's best for parties of 2. The chairs were wooden chairs with no comforter. All and all, the environment was like someone starting a business for the first time but I later come to find out that this place has been opened for years. Drinks were brought out quickly. And, the staff was very good about offering refills. We ordered a couple of hand rolls and sushi. In which it came out fairly quickly. Our appetizer took a bit to come out followed by our entrée. We ordered salmon skin & eel hand rolls, the hand rolls was A LOT smaller compared to some of the hand rolls I had in other states. The seaweed wrap was oily so I had to pinch my hand roll to eat rather than "hold" the hand roll. The hand rolls tasted great but the oily seaweed wrap was a downer to me. We also ordered the Fuji roll. I do have to say that this roll tasted so good that I did not need to dip it in soy sauce. For appetizers we ordered the squid salad & the beef tataki. The appetizers took awhile to come out but I guess I can say that it was worth the wait since everything tastes delicious. For our main entrees, we ordered the yaki udon. This dish came with chicken, beef & shrimp combined. It kind of tasted like it was not seasoned so it tasted like it was stir fried with water rather than soy sauce. All and all, the experience was good. I would say I would return to this place. Most likely, I'm going to try the hibachi gill next time. As for our waitress, she did a very good job on serving us (and not letting our drinks get below half) that we tipped her over 25% of our bill! GREAT JOB! read more

Me and my wife usually order take out here maybe a couple of times a month and it is always good. We typically get chicken fried rice along with a couple of different rolls they offer. Our favorite is the rock n roll. Only down side is they charge extra for to go for yum yum sauce or pink sauce which ever one it is. Other than that they have yet to disappoint us. read more

Ordered the hibachi, did not get the salad that it was supposed to come with, the food was cold, and the service wasn't good. Ordered the steak medium and it came out rare but also cold. Asked for it to be cooked to medium, it came back out cooked to medium but still cold. Will not go back. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. read more
