I had the Breakfast Burrito - "The One Pounder" with eggs, bacon, sausage, onions, jalapeños, hash browns, cheddar cheese, (Pico de gallo, green onions, and salsa on the side). I declined the queso and the sour cream. This was, hands down HUGE!! Everything was distributed nicely throughout, but I have to comment on the pico. Being from Texas, I am a bit of a pico snob. Let me tell you, this was homestyle pico +100! It's the bomb!! The jalapeños were diced small, and I definitely tasted a hint of garlic in there. For non-spicy people, one of the things they avoid with jalapeños is that the pieces are too big, and the burn overrides being able to taste the flavor of the food. This was great to add flavor to each bite, without the overbearing quality of the pepper. Amazing, and great. My love had the Tenderloin Tips and Eggs. Her is her review: Eggs (fried) were wonderful, with a hint of sweetness we could not define. Southern style grits buttery and smooth, and the tenderloins seasoned wonderfully and delicious!

We hate crowds more though and some days We just didn't want to rush. We ate here multiple x because it was right in our hotel. Was the food as great as The Toasted Yolk? nope Was it good enough to start a slow morning yep!! The servings are big, the food while nothing fancy is adequate to start your day, the place is not crowded and in a tourist town that's a plus right there. My favorite was just a simple fruit plate with yogurt and granola. Don't forget the Moscato:) The grits were good too!! Hubbie got the biscuits and gravy with sausage and my son pancakes. We also ate supper there one night I got the mushroom burger sans bun , my hubbie the catfish platter, and my son the Philly cheesesteak. The waitresses were nice and worked hard. Would I come again yes! Would I make a special trip here no! If you are staying at the Palace though and don't want to traipse to places for breakfast or Supper. Give this place a chance ! But they are a bit anal about you sitting the proper way -saw them get on a guy cause he moved his chair . It's not that serious Stacked . The menu is expansive with lots of options. We opted for an old fashioned and a bees knees and they were really lovely. We had our little ones (who loved the sandbox by the way!) so we opted for a pizza and some truffle fries. A great combination! Delicious!! Can't wait to visit again!

The food here is consistently better, and the oysters, especially, just taste fresher here than the other one. However, for whatever reason, the last two times we've been here, we've just had some miserable waitresses. The time before this one, our waitress had been crying and was walking around teary-eyed, but still managed to give us impeccable service. This time, though, was by far the worst service I've ever received in my life. The waitress we had today was just almost rude. There was no smile at all, no awareness, and no patience - just nothing. At times, she would start walking away before we finished talking and would not give us eye contact. I'm not sure what's going on behind the scenes here, but would highly recommend that she go through another round of training, or maybe find another job that she actually enjoys. If we were tipping just based on service, I would say we received the bare minimum. Being the person my boyfriend is, he refused to give less than a 20% tip, because he knows that restaurant and bar staff are not paid especially well, but I really do feel like some effort has to be made. I haven't felt the need to write a review on Yelp again until now, but the service today was just excruciatingly painful. When I had commented to my boyfriend that maybe she was having a bad day, he even said that there was no reason for her to be taking it out on us. If we did not love the food and this was our first time, we would never come back.

I got the ribeye, which was very tough and hard to cut. I would say I probably only got about six or seven bites out of the queen cut ribeye. The mashed potatoes were nice, as was the asparagus. We decided to give them another shot for breakfast this morning, and mine was absolutely terrible. This is the first time I think I've actually spit out food at a restaurant and with mixed company. I got the country fried steak breakfast. The potatoes tasted great, but they were sitting in oil that was mixed with some kind of other fluid from my running scrambled eggs. The country fried steak was so tough that I stuck a fork in it, and it stayed standing during the entire meal. This thing was so overcooked and tough that I spit it out immediately at the first bite. To our servers credit, he recognized that my plate was largely untouched and took my breakfast off of the total bill for our party. Our server was friendly and efficient, though grossly overbooked, I think. I wish that the manager or Chef would go down the road and up i110 a couple of miles to that Scarlet place, and try their country fried breakfast with potatoes, eggs and biscuit. See the product that they deliver for about the same price, but how much better it is prepared, served, plated and presented. This location does have a very clean and comfortable atmosphere and it was quite busy this Saturday morning. Honestly, they just look like they're a bit understaffed and the kitchen is not helping out by pushing out greasy and overcooked food.
