Tap is awesome, especially a handful of IPAs. I was in with friends from mountain biking in the area and we were hungry and thirsty. IPA was great. The Wagyu burger with Gruyere cheese and caramelized onions was big and delicious - put your bib on. It's gonna get a little messy and that's the way I like it. it was hot so we sat in cool bar with a cold frosty IPA. Mountain View across the Columbia river. Three stories - lots of places to sit inside. Second story deck outside but a little hot this afternoon. I bet the evening is awesome. Great craft brews and sandwiches. Excellent service with a smile. No brainer winner winner winner.

Since my nephew was hungry and we were also…read morein the mood for beer and eats, we stopped here to satisfy those cravings in early September. Seating is mainly on the rooftop where you get a nice overlook of the Cascade Locks neighborhood. The beer list is mainly handcrafted beers from Oregon so if you're looking for domestic items such as Coors light or Bud light, this ain't your location. We did some Kolschs and the Day Hike Pale Ales. The Pale Ale is tasty and easy to drink. My sister likes the Kolsch although it didn't appeal to my girlfriend as it was a bit sour for her. She did like the Pale Ale so I had to order another one for her. As for food, I went with the farmers salad and the wings while my sister got the classic cheeseburger and my girlfriend went with the chicken sandwich. The food came out pretty quick and we dug in. The salad was bigger than I expected and I loved the beets and bacon with the goat cheese mixed in. As for the wings, I could've done without those as they came out dry and tough. The sauce is pretty good (hazy ipa buffalo) which I'm sure would amplify the flavor of the wings if they weren't so stiff. My girlfriend and sister both enjoyed their chicken sandwich and burger. I probably should've ordered one of those cause they looked tasty. My nephew ordered the kids chicken tenders w/ fries. He ate them and didnt' complain which is a good thing. The location also hosts events such as weddings and engagement parties; not surprised given the views of the area and the access to the beer. Apparently there's also a Gorges Beer location directly in Southeast Portland if you don't want to go all the way to Cascade Locks. This spot is alright; my nephew enjoys it here so I'll probably be here again when we visit the Hatchery next time we come.

They are $21, only 6oz, and charge extra for more than basic toppings, including basics like cheese. It was also a 3 dollar up charge....for fries. Fries. Instead we opted for sandwiches and hummus thinking we could get a better value. We were wrong. None of the sandwiches were worth the 20 dollars that they were listed at, and the $15 hummus came with dried out sliced carrots and was no better than something you could grab for a few bucks at the grocery store. The pita almost tasted sour...and it wasn't sour dough, Very disappointed, aside from the beer and cider options, which were decent. We will not be back. If you're heading home to Portland from Hood River eat before you leave. We are pretty laid back and easy to impress, but this was wildly inadequate and in no way a good experience. Oh, PS: We had to ask twice for a check. We waited for ten minutes after the first ask and eventually paid at the bar because we had to go.

Nevertheless, upon meeting the owner, who successfully fulfills multiple roles, it's evident she deserves a good review! Our meal was prepared efficiently, and the presentation was excellent. So the back of house gets 5 gold stars! We enjoyed our conversations with the owner and felt welcomed as if we were lifelong residents of the town. The local diner's ambiance is unmistakable, with the regulars clearing their own tables and saying "see you tomorrow". I love that! We extend our best wishes to the owner for future success and hope she accomplishes her goal of traveling to Texas with her grandmother. CHEERS!

First of all, the drive into the town was gorgeous and scenic. What a restaurant with a view! Easy parking and plenty of seating on the inside. Second, the staff were incredible. From the moment we walked in, the young lady taking our order was friendly, welcoming, and helpful with our questions as non-locals. Another co-worker was helpful in helping us to get seated and bringing out food/drinks. Wonderful service, thank you! Third, the food was AMAZING! Everything we ate was fresh, hearty, and so flavorful. We shared a cup of clam chowder and it was so creamy and delicious. My husband got the fish and chips with the Cajun seasoning and it was so scrumptious! And very filling! I got the smoked salmon po'boy and it was so decadent. I loved every bite and walked away stuffed! And, on top of it all, prices were so reasonable for such fresh fish and ingredients! If we are ever in the area again, we are going to be sure to stop by Brigham Fish Market. It is worth every minute of the drive, every dollar, and every bite! Thanks for an amazing lunch!
