Never tried a full Pilates class until I started going to LA Pilates Long Beach where I met Rocio who teaches the Tuesday and Thursday afternoon classes. Both my boyfriend and I are runners and we thought Pilates would be a good cross-training workout to compliment are running. Since I started going to Rocio's class, I have been able to properly execute the stretches my whole body definitely needed, especially on my hips and legs. Achilles tendinitis has been a concern for over a year now but with the exercises and tips Rocio has given me, I am now on my road to recovery. Her ab and booty exercises are killer but I have definitely seen a big improvement in my body. I feel like I am stronger and less prone to injury. I've been taking Pilates classes with ROCIO, she is very knowledgeable with the ability to ensure she provides modifications as I've had two total knee replacement and a fused back! She an an amazing teacher and coach providing guidance and really cares. Today I had a painful Iliotibial (IT Band) she really helped me through the pain taking the time and assisted in loosening up the tightness my IT Band was tight and painful, but after Rocio showed me and helped me roll it out, while also providing a little physical therapy, I felt better. I love Rocio! I've been taking her CardioSculpt reformer class at LA Pilates Fitness in Norwalk for a bit now, and I love it. For an hour, I get a total body workout that's cardio and toning...talk about killing two birds with one stone. I love that I can get a full workout immediately following a day at work and then be done for the day. Super convenient! Rocio is a fantastic instructor. She focuses on the HIIT style of training. She takes time to show the class the mechanics of each movement, while making the workout fun for everyone. For years, off and on, I have looked into getting a personal trainer but I never pulled the trigger until now. I randomly did a Google search for personal trainers near me, and Rocio's site came up. I was super nervous, and honestly didn't know what to expect. But it's been 2 months now, and I'm still going! I feel much more energetic than when I started; in addition, I haven't had to use my inhaler at all since then. But what I like most is the personal care and attention Rocio gives. Going into this, I assumed I'd just do a pre-made set of exercises. But she actually tailors the sessions based on your needs. In fact, one week I casually made a remark that I had pain in my neck all week. And much to my surprise, she did stretches and exercises to relieve the pain! AMAZING workout today with Rocio!! I got lucky and was the only one that showed up for a 5am Pilates class. I'm a middle aged woman going through menopause that has arthritic pain in knees and shoulders from walking and working on a computer during the day. I've been doing my private training with Rocio for a while. Rocio is one of my favorite personal trainers and she's been training me for three times a week. I have noticed how I progressively keep the strong, and I never get bored because my private sessions are always different (she's super supportive and funny ;) but my goal is always there. How should I start??? I don't like to exercise and never was a fan. I'm what most of you would call a slacker - buy membership classes and only go once and never show again. Gym owners must love me as I'm easy money to them. When the pandemic hit and I was so beaten up from work that my husband suggested that I should work out to help relieve some stress and make me healthier. I was able to find Rocio and so glad (x10) I decided to give her a try. No words can describe her - she is experienced, talented, patient, humorous and most importantly will give you the workout that's suited for you. Believe or not, I've been coming to her for private training for 7 months now and have not slacked (surprising myself). I have posture issues since I was young which has caused me severe back pain and she has been factoring that in and adding posture correction exercises into my routine to help me build more strength in my back. We do a combination of Pilates, weigh training, cardio exercises, functional training and the works. I have noticed tremendous improvement in my back strength and surprisingly in my posture. I have been working with Rocio for 3 months now trying to build my strength. She is a fitness and health expert. Before coming to Rocio, iit had been a long time since I had worked out.
