This little place in downtown is a solid flight of stairs up from the rear parking (enter in front if physical concern, at street level there), and a "cozy" (quite tiny) place inside with tables wherever they can fit. And a gorgeously delicious set of food. I got the Roc plate as attention as possible (white hot, red hot, Mac salad, fries) and my friend went for Roc style burger with meat sauce slathered. First off the sauce is outstanding. Right blend of meat, heat, and seasonings. Portions are ample, priced right. I got the last cookies and saving those while my stomach recovers, but let me tell you, I didn't think I could eat the whole thing till I took the first bite. Get off the highway. Get here. This place is tucked right in the heart of the village of Webster. There is bar seating, a couple high tops, and some seating in the back. You can enter through the front off of Main Street or park around back and come up the stairs. They have beer and seltzers, but no liquor for mixed drinks. The food is always on point. It may take a little longer because everything is made fresh, with their chicken, triple hand breaded. We usually order take out and our food is always ready on time. The food is very good. The place itself is small and intimate. We ate at the bar and the bartender did the order and was really great.

We walked in at 5:30, not many people were in there. They came right over to get our order, but then we waited about 40+ mins for our food and the place got busier and busier. My chicken sandwich was very dry and not good at all. Other people in my group had decent food though. Had the BEST time here today with my family! The service was spectacular and the food was so good, I can't wait to return!!! Our server was Jake - he was awesome! Gave us time to review the menus, took the time to ask if it was our first time here, which it was, and was able to make recommendations! He kept my water full, checked up on my husbands beer, and was patient with my one year old as well! Our table of 5 was very happy with the service! Next - the FOOD. Probably the best burger I've ever had. I got the Mac Attack burger, which was Mac and cheese on top of a burger, with bacon smothered into the cheese sauce. It was INCREDIBLE. The tator tots on the side were so crispy and you could tell the oil was fresh. My husband had the two hot dogs with meat hot on a bun, and he said that the meat hot (which won the best of Rochester) was so good! He had a K2 on tap, which was cold and clean. I have eaten at Good Smoke Barbecue a few times and got a gift certificate for them for Christmas. My wife and I decided to use it tonight at their alternate location Roc Style chicken and burger. All in all I was not impressed. We entered the restaurant about 6:30 on a Sunday night with the website saying they're open till 9:00. We were told to sit wherever we want, besides people at the bar there was only one table out of the 7 or 8 tables in this place with anyone at it. It's pretty small which I was not expecting based on the size of Good Smoke. There appeared to be one person bartending and serving and they were incredibly rude. Pretty much every interaction was laced with passive aggressive comments about us coming in so late, also, when I asked about their Sunday funday specials prominently featured on their website I was sold no. But I guess I'll still give them to you. Honestly, he made us feel so uncomfortable. We didn't even use the gift certificate we brought with us. Next up this place has no flatware. Everything comes out in a plastic bowl with ill-fitting waxed paper liners or in plastic cups. If two people are going to be charged $50 for dinner, I think they should be able to expect actual flatware. They gave us a listing of all the current beers except for the one ordered from that list was no longer available? So I just got to coke which came in about the smallest glass you've ever seen. I was able to get refills when it was empty. We ordered the garlic parm fries which were drier than the Sahara desert. They were just french fries with parmesan cheese and spices tossed on them which could work if you did it when they were still wet with the oil fresh out of the fryer but for some reason they waited until they were totally dry. So all the seasonings and cheese just fell off. They also don't come with any appropriate sauce to dip them in. Next up was the side of macaroni and cheese inside of max salad which both were actually good. An order of chicken fingers came next, unfortunately about half of the breading fell off the chicken fingers as we handled them. We were allowed two sauces from the list of sauces that have absolutely no description whatsoever. Super unhelpful. The last thing we ordered was an order of wings. They could have been crispier but sizewise they were decent. We opted for the sauce that the server said was a garlic parmesan and in reality just tasted like concentrated vinegar. Like if chevetas sponsored a chicken wing, it would be these lol. We also got the Carolina gold sauce for the chicken fingers which, shockingly some mostly tasted of vinegar. So to put it together... A website that doesn't list the correct hours. Advertised specials that they don't run anymore. Add unwelcoming staff and food that was disappointing to put it mildly. We won't be visiting again nor can I suggest you do so unless you really like vinegar?? read more

We ordered to go. The food was ready on time. The bar tender was super friendly and got me checked out quick. My husband got the Roc Style chicken sandwich and fries and I got the Nashville Chicken sandwich and mac salad. The food was awesome. I think it was actually better than the sandwich I had from Hattie B's in Nashville a few months ago. The mac salad had just the right amount of mayo. Came here on my parents recommendation when visiting Rochester. They had dine-in open so we sat down, but we were the only ones there. Several came in for pickup. The service was great; very attentive and helpful. They have a large variety of items, but the chicken sandwich was recommended as the go-to. I ordered it Nashville hot style, which means it's has hot sauce and cole slaw on top. For the price the size of the sandwich is unreal. They basically deep fry an entire chicken breast and put it on a bun. Top notch ingredients at amazing prices. One of the best chicken sandwiches I have ever had, no joke! The entire staff is incredibly friendly and I enjoy their beer and cider selection as well. There is limited seating available, but ROC style was well-equipped for the pandemic as it shines in its takeout. Fried chicken is important to me, and Roc Style Chicken and Burger has an excellent chicken sandwich. Both times I've gone have been around noon on a weekday and I placed my orders to go. I was the only customer both times, but I'm sure this place gets much busier for dinner/night, as they have a nice bar area and plenty of seating. I prefer to park in the municipal lot in the back of the building and walk up the stairs to the entrance, though you can enter at street level from Main Street as well. I ordered the Asian BBQ Chicken Sandwich and added pickles. The chicken had great breading and was nice and crispy. It comes on a brioche bun that soaked up a lot of the sauce, so while the sandwich is delicious, it's a little messy. Have napkins nearby. The coleslaw is crispy and fresh, adding a nice contrast to the soft bun. The BBQ sauce is great but not overpowering. I've also tried their garlic parm fries and tater tots and both were perfect. The fries came with a ton of garlic parm rub and the tots have a salty seasoning as well. Both were perfectly fried and crispy. Roc Style Chicken and Burger has great service and food and I'm going to add it to my list of regular spots, as I want to give more of their menu a try! read more

This place is pretty small and dark, and if you eat in, they give you plastic silverware. It's definitely a to go place for me. There were a lot of families here though when I went to pick up my food. There was a Yelp perk for a free burger here, so I let my husband have the it. He got the Roc Style burger and made it a double. He got this one because it had the meat hot sauce on it. He didn't think it was very hot (but my husband doesn't think anything is ever hot, lol), but he liked it, and he had no complaints. I got the chopped wedge salad with no bacon and no onions, although there were still some onions in it, which is an issue for me because onions make me really sick. This also shouldn't have the name "wedge" in it at all because it's not anything close to a wedge salad. It was just shredded iceberg lettuce and tomatoes, and it was nowhere near worth $8. I added my own cheese to it at home. I'm glad the sandwich my husband had was free because otherwise, I'd have been pretty upset about my salad. I placed the order to go, and it was ready when I got there. And the guy that helped me was very nice. But the staircase at the back is no joke, and it was scary going down it with the to go bag and my purse, but it was shoveled very well. A dessert for someone's table was sitting directly in front of me for several minutes while the server took someone else's order, and I just don't think that is very sanitary. One of the guy's from the kitchen also carried some to go orders out using his chin to balance the boxes. I went to ROC style on Friday night around 7:30. I was super excited to try it and saw they had good reviews. However, I ended up waiting 1 hour for my food. The server forgot to input it in, it was very obvious he was not paying attention. We watched everyone around us get their food but not us. He gave us a 30% discount but I can't get the time I wasted in the restaurant back... not to mention he was drinking on the job. The food was mediocre, the fries were super greasy but the quality of the chicken was good but the breading fell off as soon as you touched it. Also another thing about the server: He wouldn't answer the phone that kept ringing to the point where a costumer told him the phone was ringing and he said "whoever is calling can wait and he'll answer it when he wants to." Overall terrible service. I never leave bad reviews but this one is a must. The guy drinking on the job, essentially just hanging out was what really did it for me. Super disappointing! read more

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Went for the ROC style chicken sammy. fried of course. It was very very tasty. Big piece of chicken. Right amount of crisp. Bun very big airy and soft and delicious which is good for taste but I wished it was a tad more sturdy as the excessive mayo started to breakdown the sandwich 1/2 way through. Maybe less mayo would keep things together better. They layered a lot on there. Conclusion: I would buy that sandwich again. Have been here twice now and have not been disappointed. The first time, got the bacon cheeseburger and the loaded tots...absolutely outstanding for both. Probably one of my favorite burgers in Rochester, to be honest. Super flavorful, bacon cooked perfectly, big sandwich! The tots were also great, pulled pork on them was fantastic. The second time, opted for fried chicken. Got the chicken cordon bleu sandwich with friend chicken and the sauce flight. The sandwich was legitimately gigantic.....and the fried chicken was tasty and very crispy. We opted for the roc style sauce, honey mustard, Chipotle bbq and buffalo sauces for the flight. I LOVE the Chipotle bbq sauce, it has a kick to it but has such a great smokey bbq flavor. The other sauces were tasty, but the Chipotle bbq blew them out of the water. One downside that I found was that the fries were very heavily seasoned. I typically like just salt on my fries, so maybe just my preference, but the spices on the fries took away from the flavors of the sauces. In addition, I'm not a huge fried chicken person, so I will definitely stick to the burgers when I go back..and I will definitely be going back to this gem in Webster! read more

This was our first time eating here. Walked in for take out and was immediately greeted and had great conversation with the staff. We ended up ordering a shareable, pulled pork egg rolls with golden mustard. Flavor good, but very greasy. For our meals, we ordered a Nashville style chicken sandwich which was huge, and phenomenal. The mix of spice, creamy cole slaw and tart of the pickles was great combination. We also ordered a bacon cheeseburger cooked to perfection, with lots of flavor. I had the Roc Style Chicken. It has mayo, pickles and Roc Style sauce, which is a sweet and sour type sauce. As for the restaurant, you can sit down at a table or the bar. The bar has beer and wine. You order food at the counter and pick it up. I love that you can have a drink with your food! Not bad. I ordered the wings. I got a Cajun dry rub on them. The wings themselves were good. Meaty and flavorful. The dry rub was laid on super thick and was almost too much. I got the Louisiana hot sauce on the side to try. It was very good. My mom got two dogs on a burger roll and Mac and cheese. My stepfather got the clucker plate. They were not too impressed with the food. To be fair, they just opened and I always like to give restaurants a few tries before fully assessing it. A small tucked away restaurant great for lunch. We stopped in today and had a pretty good meal. The prices are reasonable, you get a pretty big, quality sandwich for under $10 which is a steal. My wings were nice and crispy, but somehow also a little fatty which is my only complaint. Went there for lunch today with Andrew M. He already submitted his review and I really didn't have anything to offer. The extremely over cooked fried pickles were mine and were basically un-eatable. I had the buffalo cheese burger. It wasn't much to look at. A lot of grease from the hot sauce I assume. But it tasted ok. The burger was dry and over cooked. But like I said, it was ok at best. However driving home from work the rumble guts have kicked in and I'm in the bathroom holding my stomach and rocking back and forth. Stumbled onto this place and was curious to see what Roc Style had to offer. Ordered the bacon bbq chicken sandwich. Slight disappointment as I had to add salt and seemed the only flavor came from the bbq sauce. I'll admit, the crust was slightly crispy and chicken slightly moist but on the dryer side overall. My buddy ate the Mac Attack and he enjoyed it. Can't speak on taste as I didn't eat it but looked like a very satisfying option. The garlic parm rub boneless chicken wings were meh. Dry and on the tougher side like it cooked too long. In their defense, I did ask for a dry rub versus a sauce. Maybe a saucy wet sauce would have compensated for the lack of moisture. These chicken sandwiches are the biggest ever, and they taste delicious too! There are a couple options, including a bacon BBQ and Nashville hot sandwich. Both were awesome. The fried chicken is perfectly crispy and the brioche bun is BIG in order to adequately fit this chicken - small bottom buns are always disappointing. You can add extra toppings too. I opted for lettuce tomato and onion. We dined in a few months back and got some to go today, and both times I've been impressed by the service.
