They do not salt them at all, which I love. Being able to control the amount of salt on my fries was refreshing. They were hot and delicious. Their root beer was amazing! I would go there again just for that. Very bubbly, and taste is smooth, and delicious. I'm not a soda person, but this hit the spot. Best soda I have had in Rochester. My BF ordered the Wahlburger, and a hot dog. He couldn't stop raving about how delicious the hot dog was. He said it had the perfect balance of ingredients. He liked the Wahlburger, but said it was off balance, he didn't ask for mayo, but I guess it came with the burger and it was too much for him. He also enjoyed the root beer very much. He is from here, so he gave me the history. Apparently it is their trademarked, and they make it themselves. I thought that was awesome. I left there thinking, I preferred 5 guys. But I would go back again. I think the way to go is to order their specialty burgers off the menu and ask them to hold the mayo, or go light. I would like to find a burger there that I enjoyed, because their prices are more reasonable than the other local places. Definitely, try the root beer! I do like the way they have the restaurant decorated, and their artwork pays homage to the Rochester theater scene, which I found to be a sweet touch. You go in, you order at the counter, you wait outside for your food because there is no room to wait inside. They've been busy most times I have been here. There's also normally not a ton of people working so expect a wait when you order. You can call ahead to place your order though. They have the best fries around. My friends enjoy their garbage plates and their garbage plate wraps, which is literally a garbage plate in a giant tortilla. Definitely a quintessential Rochester/Pittsford place. Would recommend.

I love a good burger and have had some truly spectacular ones in my day, so I had high expectations of this place considering the reviews. That was my mistake. The service was really nice although the wait time was a little hefty. Like a hefty bag. However the burger was definitely aimed at the kinds of people that don't have the same sense of taste that I do. For example a ton of tasteless melted cheese with some tasteless meat that wasn't juicy enough for me. It just didn't do it for me at all. The milkshake tasted like Hershey's syrup mixed with creamer. It also wasn't the finest hour of milkshakes. However they are a little local business and apparently the locals really like this place a lot so three stars is fine. I guess. Keep your Zocs on.

We pulled into Hilton to try the diner and stumbled across Jose Joe's. Definitely a fast food vibe to the place but with somewhat higher cost (about $10 for a burger.) The store looked new and was spotless... So off to a great start. Service was pretty standard for decent fast food... No real interaction beyond taking the order but they got it right which is more than we can expect from many chain restaurants. We were definitely impressed with the food. We're so used to seeing a delicious, juicy burger in an advertisement then receiving a sort of squashed down, sad version of it on a tray... Not here! The burger actually looked delicious... And was! I can say the same for my wife's black bean burger and the fries. Very satisfied. Cost was a little high by comparison to other better quality fast food joints but other than that a great find. Will definitely stop in again if the opportunity presents itself.
