Gonna give it to Jose Joe's, they filled the bill near the end of a long trip. We were starving (figuratively) after a long wait to get across the Lewiston boarder crossing into the US and a disappointing selection of restaurants along Route 18 to Rochester. We pulled into Hilton to try the diner and stumbled across Jose Joe's. Definitely a fast food vibe to the place but with somewhat higher cost (about $10 for a burger.) The store looked new and was spotless... So off to a great start. Service was pretty standard for decent fast food... No real interaction beyond taking the order but they got it right which is more than we can expect from many chain restaurants. We were definitely impressed with the food. We're so used to seeing a delicious, juicy burger in an advertisement then receiving a sort of squashed down, sad version of it on a tray... Not here! The burger actually looked delicious... And was! I can say the same for my wife's black bean burger and the fries. Very satisfied. Cost was a little high by comparison to other better quality fast food joints but other than that a great find. Will definitely stop in again if the opportunity presents itself. read more

Stopped at this location to pick up a gift card. The employees are very nice and welcoming. I went in the restaurant around 11:05.. and by the time I left the line was almost out the door it's that popular. I ordered a side of chips and smashed fried potatoes. Used to love this place when it first opened, but slowly as time has gone by the quality has been eroding. Today was the second consecutive order where the order was screwed up after returning home. My wife ended up calling them to get to corrected and they still screwed up the corrected order. My Garbage Burrito came with olives, which wasn't part of the order. The loaded smahed potatoes were burnt to a crisp and the only way they were edible was because of the cheese sauce and sour cream. We have run into issues before with them but they attempted to correct things properly. Now it is jumping through hoops to even get a correction made to an order they clearly messed up on. My wife used to enjoy their steak they used but now it is quality of that has become horrible. Unfortunately this will be our last visit to Jose Joes as they have become clearly an unacceptable choice for meals based on the quality of food, service, and the price you pay for it. read more

Found this place while scrolling Yelp! My family and I were out looking at Christmas lights in the Hilton area, and wanted to grab some quick dinner to go! After scrolling through the menu we placed a picked up order over the phone. The very friendly staff told us it would be about a twenty minute wait which was fine! We were able to get a parking spot right out front to wait. Picking up our order was a breeze! After twenty minutes we heading inside and picked up our hot taco goodness. I had a plank taco with all the fixings and it was so flavorful and delicious, but what takes the cake is the taco fires! They are so so sooo good! My whole family and I shared them and loved them. Good size for a kids quesadilla! Just enough for me. Pretty standard, plain quesadilla but was really great with the pico de gallo, otherwise just a regular quesadilla. It was a pleasure having Jose Joe's delivered to me for my birthday! My sibling looked for what seemed forever to attain delivery or in this case GrubHub to me much further away. It was a delicious surprise delivered with care and the deliciousness was still hot to enjoy! I really wish I could do half stars on here. I feel like a more accurate rating would be 3.5 stars for this place. The food was very tasty. And surprisingly, at least for me in a good way, was decently spicy as well. I was a little surprised/let down that the burgers and burritos didn't come with any sort of side for what they're priced at. No chips or anything. Once loved & wouldn't go anywhere else. But last THREE mobile orders totaling over $100 each (for a group of people) and not one of them has been 100% correct. Quality is getting worse on each succeeding order. We order the same things and there's no consistency. On our last order, three of 5 had multiple extra cheeses, and we paid extra for each!) and NONE of the FIVE TOTAL dinners GOT ANY CHEESE AT ALL. That's kind of a huge miss. So we're done. Sad, because it's pretty apparent that it's a "quality of available personnel" issue. We know the owners are great people, and so we are confident it's not a "them" problem. :( read more

No comparisons, period! I like Jose Joe's. HOWEVER! ... The Greece, NY store, hands down, is simply the best! Food was tasty, warm, and even looked great. The Hilton store leaves so much to be desired. It WAS excellent at one point dand time got the best of it. I'm not sure if it's just the employees or if there needs to be someone to oversee the kids 24/7. But Hilton has changed. If I want a good taco or burrito I'll just have to take a longer drive or go to one of their competitors. Really, it's very simple to make a good taco or burrito. CONSISTANCY it's so simple. I don't know what happened but I used to love this place. Yesterday 7/14/2022 I ordered two burritos. First off they didn't think to mention there was a carnival going on and I am not from Hilton so I had no clue. I had to go way out of my way and walk there to get my food. Thats not even the worst part... my Dad and I both ate our burritos. It was the only thing I had to eat. I went to bed and woke up at 6:40am with the worst stomach pain I have ever had. My Dad also had the same symptoms. I without a doubt have food poisoning currently. I have been on the toilet all day, throwing up and have a fever. I will never come back here again and I suggest you don't either unless you want to risk feeling like death. I see two other commenters say the same thing so thats five people now that have gotten food poisoning from this place. read more

Food isn't authentic Hispanic but does satisfy cravings. Depending when you go sometimes they are friendly but oftentimes it takes a bit for someone to notice you're there unless they are right at the front counter. Nice alternative to McDonalds in Hilton. Always looks clean anytime I go to pick up, have never dined in there though. read more

I ordered online. Their reg menu says you can pick 3 free toppings and choice of cheese for your hamburger. No where on the order online menu to do that. Placed the order at 6:06pm. For a 6:30 pm pick up. I live like 1 minute away so I went there to add the toppings to my order in person. Corn and bean salsa, chives and avocado creama. Asked for them on the side in cups as I wasn't eating the burger right away and didn't want it soggy. Girl gives the additions to the cook. I sit down to wait for the next 20 minutes. Nope. 1 minute later my burger and fries were handed to me. The 1/4 # burger she was squeezing down with the spatula when I entered was mine! 20 minutes early. And all the juice squeezed out of it. Took it home. Opened it to let the steam out so it wouldn't get soggy while I finished folding laundry. And all 3 toppings were put on the hamburger and oozed under the roll in a puddle. So while the roll was soaked the burger was dry as can be because they have a cook that can't cook a simple 1/4# thin hamburger nor get it out at the proper time nor put toppings into side cups. Ate 3 bites with a fork and knife and tossed it out. Note also there were at least 4 people "working", 2 trying to figure out what one of them was going to have for their meal. One appeared to be possibly a supervisor or manager? And they lost a customer and I wasted $15. Never again. read more

Jose Joe's on Ridgeway was one of my favorite lunch stops, but my visit today was not that way. I ordered the smashed potatoes which used to be so good. What I got today was an old oil taste gloppy mess. The taco was ok except the roast pork tasted old and tough. The loganberry was straight syrup ugh! It did not seem to have that fresh ingredients that you come to expect at a burrito joint. I may have just ordered poorly but my basic assessment is this place is more "Joe" and less "Jose". We finally went for dinner tonight! The food was delicious. Across the family we ordered a Cheeseburger, Beanburger, Chicken Quesedilla, and 2 Tacos. I had the mac salad, it was good. My husband had the smashed potatoes with were smashed salt potatoes and fried - he enjoyed them. I had the cheeseburger, it was great, fresh and the roll was delicious. I will say that of all things, I did not love the chips and salsa. The chips are flavorless and heavy. I am used to lighter ones. I know there are various kinds of salsa, but this isn't chopped finely enough for me. I prefer more liquid. That being said, it's just my preference. I wanted to try one of their desserts, they all looked so good, but I was just too full. For the family it was a great meal. A friend had mentioned that this place had an amazing garbage plate burrito, so my interest was piqued. They said it was fairly large, at a decent price, so the deal was sealed. The place has a nice atmosphere, and a decent selection of various hotsauces for the public. Staff seemed friendly enough, and the place was dead. I have an onion allergy, so I was extremely disappointed to find out one of the main ingredients in the garbage plate burrito, the Mac salad, contained them. The woman taking my order did not suggest any substitutes, and I was shocked that they did not offer to whip up some mac salad without onions, considering how slow it was and that I had to drive all the way out to Hilton for this meal. Makes me think that they must be buying the stuff preprepared from somewhere. The burrito was still surprising delicious and filling. I may return again to try something else in the future. I just happened across this place while I was looking for places to eat on Google while I was leaving work one night. The staff are very kind (even remembered my name the third time I came through!) and always go above and beyond for me. One time I came in and ordered the wrong burger (my fault!
