I was craving mighty taco for some reason but really didn't want to drive to buffalo. This location used to be a mighty taco and when it closed, it turned into a Jose Joe's soon after. Not sure why it took me 5 years to try this place... especially being just up the road from me. Kind of regretting the hesitation because this is beyond better than mighty taco! I didn't walk into this place expecting authentic Mexican food, nor do I think anyone should. I got the "Jose Your Way" burrito and smashed loaded potatoes. The burrito was huge. I got the pork, black beans, rice, lettuce, three cheese, and red onions. Forgot to add salsa. Overall it was decent. Nothing special, but certainly not bad. I wanted it to have more flavor overall, especially the pork. But the portion is enormous and enough for two meals. They also have a bunch of bottles of hot sauces with little to-go cups if you don't stay in to eat, so that helped, too. The smashed potatoes were really good. Smashed and crispy with sour cream, nacho cheese sauce, and bacon. The small portion was more than enough for one person. Happened upon this spot in between community visits for work. Happy too see another location with a customizable menu. Prices are in line with Chipotle or Five Guys. Staff is extremely helpful with the menu options.. The dining room is clean butt cold! I tried the Steak Fajita Salad with Avocado Cream. It was a bit lacking in spice but there is an ample selection of hot sauce. The drinks are all behind the counter. I get it but now a days,, people are used to refillable optionss. Jose Joes was a real treat. I'm happy I decided to stop in for lunch. I ordered the 3 cheese quesadilla and two soft tacos. They both were really good. They were rather simple but effective. The tacos had fresh ingredients on them, and the shells were really tasty. The quesadilla was good, I dug right in and forgot to snag a picture of them but they were a good size and I never just eat cheese quesadilla but I will from Jose Joes. Price is decent (pretty comparable to Chipotle). Everything I've tried has been good, not mind blowing, but good enough that I keep coming back for an easy option. Ordered at 7:11pm and said it would be ready by 7:30. Walked in at 7:30 and order was all set and ready! No waiting!! We ordered quite the spread so here is our review (and pictures too of everything but desserts): Morning Joe: substituted chicken, added sautéed onions, sautéed peppers, pickles, olives and Mayo. This was a fantastic messy sandwich; had to eat with a fork and knife due to all the ad-ons so we wouldn't wear it! Definitely would order again. Taco Salad: substituted chicken, no olives, and added pico de Gallo. This was quite the hefty salad. Sometimes ordering salads are hit or miss; this one was definitely a hit. The toppings were good ratio to the salad. Only down side was the addition of the pico for $0.69 - it came on the side in a 2oz sauce cup and was only filled halfway. We wish there was more for the additional charge. José Joe Burger: added jalapeños. Good burger loaded with toppings as described by the menu. Not a messy burger, good flavor. Personal preference would have been to cook the burger for less time, however, would order it again. José Veggé: Burrito was tightly wrapped and loaded with goodness! Wasn't cut in half, but not an issue as it keeps the stuffing inside. Their veggie patty was pretty tasty once you found it buried in all the additional stuffings! No additions were made to the burrito as it sits on the menu so I would say it was lacking some flavor, but I can't put my finger on what was missing. Maybe next time I'll order a side of sauce to dip it in for an extra kick. Smash Potato: small order. Added smokin' sauce. Great idea and perfect portion for a shareable or side. Smokin' sauce added a nice kick - could have been a bit spicier for my own liking, but good for your average joe. Sour cream and bacon toppings came on the side. Taco Fries: small order. Queso lined bottom of the box, then a layer of French fries and then layer on everything else. Absolutely delish. The small was a good quantity for a shareable. Great idea. Dessert Burrito 6pack: Fantastic idea and so happy we added them on to our meal!! They are about the size of a small cannoli and generously filled. In the mix and match 6 pack we got 2 of each burrito. 2-cheesecake with raspberry dipping sauce which was phenomenal; 2-cookie dough with chocolate dipping sauce (this one was my favorite) and then 2-sugar cookie with cinnamon dipping sauce (this was the majority favorite). Overall, in comparison to other restaurants we have ordered from during the pandemic, I would say was the best meal we have had yet. Let me start off by saying that I couldn't wait to try this place out ever since they started remodeling the building. Burgers and Burritos, what could be better than that??? Well, on my first trip here, I got the nacho chicken sandwich. It was beyond reproach, as well as their chips and salsa verde. I am looking forward to going back again and again and trying everything. But that's not why I'm giving this place 5 stars. Yes, the food was outstanding, but the customer service was beyond expectations. I accidentally placed an online order for the Hilton location, even though I live near the Greece restaurant. The cashier and manager barely skipped a beat. They got my order expedited and had me out the door in minutes. A good variety in the menu, vegetarian and meat options available. Bright and spacious. Order at the counter and it is brought to your table. There is also a drive through window. No alcohol, at least at present. A few restaurants have occupied this space in recent years, it's nice to have a new business here. SUCCESS BREEDS SUCCESS. The only thing better than a great Jose Joes is a second new location of a Jose Joes. My wife and I had lunch Friday and it was great! I had the morning burger that comes with caramelized onions, meat sauce, cheese and of course an egg. It was amazing with just the right amount of meat sauce. I decided to try the Mac Salad for my side as I figured it would be a better test than ordering fry's. I was beyond pleasantly surprised when upon tasting it I realized it was made with fresh quality mayonnaise unlike other places that try to cut corners with cheaper alternatives. My wife had the quesadilla along with the works - Chips Salsa and of course guacamole. Every thing was fresh and flavorful. I have been to the original location in Hilton before and it's not unusual for places to stumble when they expand. Not Jose Joes! It's obvious they took their time and got it right. This new second location has a great design, layout and is immaculate. I'm looking forward to my next visit to try other menu items. Typically I post photos. I've eaten here more times than I can count since they opened a few years back. More than a majority of times, it's been extremely solid. Tasty meats, sauces, and fillings, makes for some super solid burritos. Their smashed potatoes and fries are also fantastic. Unfortunately the burgers part of Jose Joes is the weak side. They're not especially creative and feel honestly like a little bit of a throwaway. That and most of the time I've gotten them, they were cooked fairly poorly (charred pucks anyone?). Ordered a hamburger and recieved a cheeseburger brought the cheeseburger back to the counter and told them it was ordered as a hamburger. They scrapped the cheese off and brought it back to the table I then went back to the counter and asked that it be removed from my bill and the person behind the counter said he would remake it right now. So far this has been my go to take out place since COVID-19 has struck. I also have noticed I have most ate from the Jose side of things. I have gotten there nachoes twice and I love them. I also tried their tacos. I was supposed to get two but they forgot to make a second, so I got a refund. My fiance and I also split the taco style load fries. Also amazing. It was pretty good, although the hot sauce kind of made the eggs hard to taste.
