    Taco Salad - chicken
    Celina G.

This review is only based on take-out and the taco salad. We have ordered delivery from this establishment twice ((via DoorDash) and the order is always accurate and we absolutely love the chicken taco salad bowl. Another coworker ordered the chicken soup and it was very good, I'm told.

Service, and entire experience was soo good. Very off the beaten path Mexican on the edge of Brighton. So thankful to have this so close to home. What a great find!

A casual Mexican restaurant very similar to Monte Alban in taste, menu offerings, and decor. I found Mesquite Grill on Yelp while searching for takeout near an appointment (and conveniently located near a post office, which was also part of the day's errands). They have an online ordering system through Clover, which I love (who wants to call in an order anymore?) though honestly it gave me trouble and I had to back out and enter my order a few times. I don't think it liked my debit card for some reason. Food was very tasty and ready on time. My entree came with a generous portion of chips and salsa, and I added avocado to top my meal for $3.99. A filling lunch for a reasonable price, and easy to access with a large parking lot. I will definitely stop here again.

    Pancho

Last night was my first time here and everything was absolutely amazing! Service was great, the portions were quite generous and prices, very reasonable. I had the Pancho, which was chicken and shrimp with cheese, guacamole, rice and refried beans. My date had the Chiles Pablanos. We both had enough to take some home for the next day. Look forward to returning.

A friend and I ordered food for lunch this week. I love that they have an online ordering platform rather than me having to call. Walked in to pick it up but they do offer curbside if you prefer. The food was basic, nothing to complain about. I loved the queso and refried beans. My friend really liked the salsa and her tamale. I'm sure that we will order from here again. I didn't need much customer service but the woman who handed me my bag was very nice. I've also been to the Gates location. Similar impression.

I've been here for take out a few times. The food is good and the service is fast. I ordered the beef poblano and the beef enchiladas. They were very tasty. The poblano had a little spice but not too bad!

    Steak street tacos

Food was okay , street tacos were a bit bland , corn tortillas generally break fast . Rice was very good and flavorful . Had a alcoholic drink that was too sweet . Other than that , it was a nice Mexican restaurant .

    Baja shrimp tacos ($16)

It's lunch time and I forgot to pack my lunch. I was going to give in and get fast food, but for the same price now in days, it's better to get better quality foods. So I called for pick up and ordered Baja shrimp tacos ($16). Literally was a quick call and was ready in 10 min. When I got back to my office food was still warm( weather outside -8°F). The tacos were so tasty, and there was three of them. I'm a 6 foot 4in heavy set guy, and I get full with two out of the three. Shrimp was cooked perfectly , the rice was not mushy, and there was enough cheese and sauce for me, and Im a sauce guy. Overall pleased with the service and food. Definitely hit the spot, i recommend this place.

We went for lunch. Loved the place. Cheerful, beautiful painted tables. To start, Guacamole was freshly prepared and chunky. Very good. Entrees: Vegetarian Combo and a la Carta were our choices. The Veggie Combo B: One cheese enchilada, one bean tostada and rice. A la Carta: Hard Beef Taco( t was supposed to have Lettuce & Cheese), Rice & Black Beans( a bit too salty for my palate). Rice was yellow rice with corn. Nice. We liked the food. Jarritos de Mango to drink. Our server from Laos, a very nice young woman. We will come back.

Changa to go with rice and guacamole/salad
    Danielle S.

I first tried Mesquite Grill at their original location on Elmgrove and enjoyed it, so I was happy that they opened up a location closer to me in Brighton. I ordered a Changa (chimichanga) to go and picked it up. The location is in a plaza along S Winton with some outside seating. I was greeted at the door and my order was ready when I got there. The food was really good. I know chimichangas aren't the most authentic Mexican food, but sometimes you just need a fried burrito. I loved the cheese and red sauces, and I chose chicken as the filling. It also came with refried beans inside. It was a bit soggy but I think that's more bc I ordered it to go and it obviously had to sit there as I drove home etc. The rice is really good. I ordered an extra side of it because I like it so much. It's really flavorful and has corn, peppers, and peas mixed in. I really enjoyed my food from Mesquite Grill and will be returning regularly for more!

I was part of a group of four, including two almost vegans, who were looking for a healthy and fun meal. Mission accomplished. The Mesquite Grill delivered on great tasting and healthy food, friendly staffers and engaging decor. There's plenty of food options, including for those on a plant-based gluten free lifestyle. I ordered the veggie fajitas and they were amazing. Fresh veggies, rice, corn tortillas, and refried beans in a chip shell. Good quantity for the price too. Everyone left happy and full - and talked about coming back.

I come from the central coast in California and grew up with migrant workers from Mexico. It's been hard finding a place that had authentic Mexican food since moving to Rochester but this place can not be more authentic. However, sauces are not automatically included, so be sure to ask for them on the side. Side dishes are often an afterthought at many restaurants, but Chuy's offered several tasty options. *Tacos de Asada y Maduro: featured high quality steak with fried plantains. The plate included three tacos, Mexican beans, and rice. While the meat had a good char, it was slightly dry. Despite the menu listing chipotle crema, the sauce was not included on any of my visits. Its spice and creaminess would have tied the dish together. The plantains were perfectly golden brown and sweet. The beans and rice were both flavorful, though I wished the beans had a more consistent texture, as they varied between watery and refried. *Horchata: top tier cinnamon rice beverage that was nicely sweetened and well spiced. *Flan: was dense and creamy with a sweet, rich caramel sauce. The custard had a beautiful body and was a must order. I have never had a bad meal here, though consistent inclusion of sauces would easily push this spot into five star territory. Chuy's definitely satisfied my Mexican food cravings without leaving me feeling greasy.

We stopped in tonight for my wife's birthday and most of what we got was pretty good. The case it was great enchiladas were fantastic as they always are. The rice and beans leave something to be desired but they always have so that wasn't a particular shock. Our server was okay though it would have been nice if she had been a little bit more on the up and up on getting us refills on our drinks she was still very friendly and got everything correct. When they found out it was my wife's birthday they brought us fried ice cream Sundae that was very good too. There's only one thing that was disappointing tonight and that is their burritos. We have ordered their à la carte burrito a dozen times maybe? It's always been fantastic fairly simple but fantastic. For a couple of extra bucks you could get enchilada sauce and cheese on it and we always really enjoyed it. We noticed when we got there that it was no longer on the menu and instead they had some pre-made burritos to choose from so we did get one of those and it was lower quality than what I would expect or maybe satisfied with then what I'd get at Taco Bell it was that bad. We did tell the waitress who was just kind of like yeah try the one that cost twice as much money lol. Not exactly helpful. Well the crappy short-changed burrito won't stop us from going again we definitely will not be ordering the burritos and I don't recommend you try them either.
