This is my 3rd visit here, and each visit has been great! Highly recommend the empanadas, both chicken and beef as an appetizer! So flavorful, perfectly crispy, definitely one of our favorites! I had the fajita taco bowl. Really enjoyed the fajita vegetables and the chicken was delicious. The amount of veggies and chicken inside the bowl was BOUNTIFUL. Soooo much food. I subbed rice instead of the beans, and it made a whole other dinner of leftovers! My husband had an order of 3 tacos and was pleased with his meal too. The chips and salsa are great, and they come with an AMAZING bean dip. Last but not least, the margaritas were delicious! My husband and I went to Mi Rancho Alegre with another couple early on a Friday night. The place was by no means crowded, perhaps 1/4 of the tables were occupied. We were promptly seated and given menus and complimentary chips and salsa. 10 minutes later we were still waiting for a server to come to the table. Finally a young woman, presumably a waitress, walked over to our table, glanced at us, and without a word, simply walked away. We were dumbfounded! A few minutes later, a different young woman walked over to our table. She paused for a moment and then she also wordlessly walked away! What was going on here? Had we entered the twilight zone? We were contemplating leaving when a man who might have been the manager came over and asked if we were being taken care of. He apologized for the lack of service, took our drink orders, and after the drinks arrived, took our food orders. Everything took too long to be delivered to the table. The beer was not cold enough and the food was not hot enough. The restaurant was not busy, waitresses were standing chatting together instead of waiting on customers. One member of our party went up to the bar to ask for water because the 'waiter' forgot to bring it with her beer. The bartender was on his cell phone and didn't pay attention that she was standing there. She had to shout to get him to notice her. All in all it was a bizarre experience. Good Mexican Spot with Room for Improvement While staying nearby, my hotel recommended Mi Rancho, conveniently located right across the street. The service was welcoming, and my server was helpful in suggesting what to try. I started with the tableside guacamole, which was a bit of a wait and, unfortunately, lacked flavor. But hey, it's guacamole--I still enjoyed it. For my main, I went with the Tacos Jalisco: three lightly grilled corn tortillas in a delicious house-made red salsa, filled with my choice of grilled chicken, topped with onions, cilantro, and queso fresco, and served with guacamole on the side. These tacos were excellent, hitting all the right notes with freshness and flavor. I'd definitely go back to try another dish and see what else Mi Rancho has to offer! read more

Super busy on this Friday night and no wait time. Already off to a great start! I get a chain restauraunt vibe here with plenty of seating. Service was good and the food came out fast. They started us off with free chips, refried bean dip, and salsa. The menu has many options and took us longer to order than the wait for our food. HUGE portions. I had enough for a second meal (also probably filled up on chips beforehand). One con is that it is pretty pricey. I don't remember seeing a kids meal, even though they probably have one. To bring my family of 5 here would probably be closer to a hundred for everything. A friend and I each ordered a dish with one margarita and one soda and it was $75. Another con for drinkers is the Strawberry kiwi-rita that I had was delicious, but tasted like a virgin. I'm a lightweight, and my face was not red. New spot and new to me. Parking is easy as they have private lot. I was meeting other people and was the first to arrive so I checked in thinking there would be a wait but there wasn't. I was led to a table. Wait staff dropped off warm chips and salsa and water. While I was waiting, our server checked in to make things were good. The menu is huge (think Cheesecake Factory but Mexican). There are things like mozzarella sticks and burgers too. Given the size of the menu and variety, I suspect they're not dealing with fresh seafood, etc. So keep that in mind. Their drink menu is extensive but pay attention to prices. I opted for their mango margarita with Tajín and Chamoy. It was delicious and large. 1 was plenty which was good because it was $18 (almost as much as my entree). I opted for an order of steak and shrimp fajitas (with corn tortillas) with a side of elote. This may be the best elote I've had locally. The servings are generous. In fact, I ended up bringing a good portion of the steak and sides home. I'd definitely return again! read more

So far, so good!! This is their second day open and we'll definitely be back! First of all, it's amazing to me that more restaurants don't serve empanadas. Ridiculous. But anyway. I got two chicken and two beef; the beef flavor was by far the best. They lose half of star because the salsa was so watery. The enchiladas on the other hand were inedible. The shrimp in the enchiladas were dry , with no seasonings. The tomatillo sauce barely covered the enchiladas. The side of rice tasted like it was buttered, with no seasoning. For the amount of money they charged us, it was a waste. The drinks menu had no prices on it. I was told that the house margarita was $20!!!. What do they make it with, to charge such a ridiculous amount? Needless to say I stuck with water. Decided to try this newer Mexican restaurant in Greece. Went there in Saturday night at 6:45 on the Eclipse weekend- may have been the reason the place was jammed- or perhaps it is just that popular! We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table- and I noticed most people leaving had a doggie bag. We were seats at a table in the bar area- and were greeted by the bartender / waiter who took our drink order. We got the house margarita- I think I counted 22 different margaritas on the menu! It was pretty good for a house margarita that they pour from a premixed tap at the bar. Speaking of the menu- it's huge! Tacos, enchiladas, burritos, meat dishes etc. - but there are pages of choices. We enjoyed the chips and salsa we got- plus they offer refried beans to dip into also. Nice touch! I ordered the Fajitas Tacos- 3 tacos with your choice of steak or chicken- I got steak- with peppers and onions and sour cream on the side. My wife got the Burrito Fajitas- same thing but in a burrito. The plates are huge- with lots of rice in the side. Then the doggie bag thing made sense! I ended up having one taco to take home for lunch the next day. Very good service - the bartender and another waiter tag teamed our table. When we left at 8 PM there was still a line. I see why! Love all the colors and Mexican style decor. Went here for lunch with a friend. The service was kinda slow but the poor girl was working 2 roles, Hostess and waitress. We felt bad for her. Anyways the food was outstanding. They put on the table chips, salsa, refried beans with pico and Mexican cheese. It was really good. This place is the only place that does this. The ambience has noticeably changed since opening, less loud music, less scattered tables, less people for sure. They want to resemble a sports bar but many tv screens shows re-runs of matches. Ridiculous! The food is often warm or cold, and the salsa taste like uncooked tomato sauce. We first liked this restaurant, lately, it has been a true disappointment. Too bad. So many restaurants claim to be "Mexican" but there's very little authenticity in their food and even service. We used to see a nice waiter, oddly, I no longer see him. My hubs had the Steak Mia Rancho., steak was a nice tender strip, not the flat skirt steak usually sold at these types of restaurants, smothered in all kinds of Mexican goodness. Skinny Margaritas were nice and strong. The wait staff is awesome! I speak a little Spanish, and they had fun poking fun at mine. Full disclosure, they all speak English too, but we had fun terming to order in Spanish and they loved it too. Our second trip, the Skinny Margarita's were still awesome!! But I ordered poorly. I knew I made a mistake when I did. I ordered a chimichanga with "seafood mix" ya, ya, writing it out now, I feel even more stupid. I know better, but did it anyway. My hubs ordered the steak again and was super satisfied. I didn't eat mine, but treated myself to a 2nd skinny Margarita, so I didn't give a hoot about my weird dish. The wait staff was just as good the 2nd time around. I will go back, but will stick with tacos, carnitas, and other non seafood items. Lol The place is clean, well organized, the food timing is awesome. Definitely better and as reasonable if not more reasonable than other Mexican grills around. This is a new place that just opened in Greece. I was very interested to check it out, as I am not a fan of the other 2 Mexican options on W Ridge Rd. The place is spacious, with plenty of seating, indoor and outdoor. One of the first things that strikes you, is the huge drinks and foods menus. Within a minute of being seated, you are given free chips with a bean dip concoction and sauce. These were very delicious. The second thing that strikes you, is how super friendly and attentive the entire staff is. No less than 4 different people wanted to make sure we were taken care of and having a good time. The drinks, a Bahama Mama and Long Island Iced Tea - were EXTREMELY strong. This is an area they will need to work on - they were so strong that they were not yummy, at all. I ordered a combo 3. You can pick 3 of 5-6 items. I chose an enchilada, a burrito, and a chimichanga. The plate everything came on was ridiculously massive - it was a LOT of food! I didn't even get to eat the burrito yet - everything else on the plate was delicious. It wasn't close to being the best Mexican food I've had in the area, but it was very good and filling. I would say the fillings in the enchilada and chimichanga (one chicken, one beef) could be improved with some seasoning. This place is definitely worth checking out, and the menu is so huge, there is something for everyone. I can't say I've seen a Mexican restaurant in Rochester that has things like lobster and snapper on the menu. I'm looking forward to returning to try more menu items - the friendliness of the staff alone is worth another visit. read more

After eating their food many times and enjoying it, today's meal has left such a bad taste we will no longer be going back, nor will I continue to recommend. We went early, not many people dining yet but Sat for 10 minutes before someone came and put down tacos they offer all who come in. No one had been to get drink request yet. Five minutes later someone took drink request. (Again, early 3:30pm we entered and not many patrons yet.) Drinks arrive and someone takes order. Just over 1/2 hr later food arrives. No one comes to see how things are or the fact that my combo Enchilada and Burrito isn't correct. At end of meal when someone stops by to ask if we want boxes we decline and I point out that my meal was incorrect. As I'd only eaten half of each one he could see they were identical but denied that it was incorrect. That was a burrito and enchilada, just identical. No way was he going to admit to error even with it sitting in front of me and obviously not what was ordered. He tried to offer coupon for use on return visit, declined as, I don't foresee hell freezing over, I have no intention of subjecting myself to the potential of a repeat of today's meal and lack of service. Guess they now have enough customers they no longer have to concern themselves about making a couple of early birds eating a meal leaving happy. read more

This was our first trip to Mi Rancho Alegre and it won't be our last...So it went like this...First off there's a bit of a parking issue, but not a deal breaker, just be prepared to look around a bit...Next the room is vast but packed in butts to elbows...The Mexican theme is all around you as you sit among the decor and guests...The menu is vast with all things Mexican, I won't go into detail because it is the same at most places the only difference is the quality and this place has it...Great food and plenty of it, the fresh tableside made guacamole is to die for and a treat to watch being made...The drinks are spot on with many to choose from...The prices are like everywere today, pricey but again what isn't?...I would say you should give them a try, use your Google maps to find it easier than just looking, trust me on this point. read more

My husband had the mango mojito for the same and he said it was probably the best he's ever had. I also had a red sangria which I forgot to take a picture of sadly and it was very good. They start with complimentary chips with salsa and refried beans. Some people I talked to didnt like the salsa because it is a little runny, but I liked it. The beans are a nice touch and good. He had combo number 3 which he enjoyed and I had tacos Jalisco which was also good- I am picky with my meat and it didn't creep me out so they get an A+ for that alone lol I had chicken and steak. Well, I tried to go to TC Hooligans... they were sooooo busy that I couldn't get a seat at the bar. I decided on Mi Rancho Alegre. The place looks great a very festive sports bar environment. I sat quite a while before I got any attention at all. Then I was brought chips, salsa, and bean dip with cheese. That was great. It took a while before I could order a beer. Then what seemed like forever before I could order food. It was all about food quality this place would get 5 stars. Everyone in here is having a great time watching the Bill's game.
