I don't know what the bartender did, but the two I had were perfect. Our server, Anthony, was friendly and efficient without being intrusive. I am generally reluctant to order lobster bisque because so often it disappoints, but this was absolutely amazing, with chunks of lobster swimming in a wonderfully balanced bisque. The bread was warm and fresh. I also had the haddock French. A great sauce with properly prepared fish and pasta. The tiramisu was delicious as well, tho I ordered it more out of curiosity than because I needed more to eat. I waddled out very pleased with the food, the service, and knowing we'd be back soon. This was a very pleasant surprise.

We made reservations for dinner to celebrate my birthday, just my husband and I. We were 5 min late…read morefor our 5:30 reservation but did call from the road prior to being late and luckily we were still able to get a table. There seemed to be ample tables still open. We were seated promptly at a nice table and brought water immediately. Our server Ryan came and told us about the specials and took our drink order. She returned several minutes later and took our orders for dinner. I was looking forward to the risotto because they always have a good risotto special, my husband had the limoncello chicken. Drinks came out and then the bread, nice and warm. The salads seemed to take a little longer than usual but the greens were fresh. Unfortunately that's where the good ended. We waited and waited for dinner. Tables around us that arrived after us were being served their meals. We waited patiently, making conversation trying not to feel annoyed. Ryan returned asking if we needed more to drink or more bread, no we still had bread. She apologized for the delay and said she would check with the kitchen. She returned 15 minutes later and said the kitchen was working on our orders. We were at 1 hour at this point, 10 minutes later our food finally arrived, it looked beautiful. The shrimp placed decoratively on top of the risotto, scallops lightly seared. The chicken in a creamy white sauce with linguini and fresh herbs on top. My first bite of the risotto was a disappointment, it was undercooked, more than a little al dente (risotto is not supposed to be any al dente). I tried different places around the dish to see if maybe there was some way to save this dinner, sadly not. We waited well over an hour for our dinners and it was undercooked. The scallops were good as were the shrimp so those were eaten. Our server did not return to ask how our dinners were. The chicken dish was good and my husband enjoyed it, brought half home as it was an ample portion. When Ryan returned she offered boxes, I declined since you cannot fix undercooked risotto. I explained what was wrong and she said she would let the owner know because he was helping in the kitchen. She returned with the wrapped up chicken and offered a free cannoli to compensate for the problem. We accepted, my husband ate it because I don't care for cannolis. We paid our check and left. I was surprised that if the owner was working in the kitchen and alerted to the problem that he didn't come out. I found that a bit strange, if it was my restaurant and someone said the special that was priced at $42 was not cooked properly I would come out to apologize for the problem. He did not, we paid the check and left. We have eaten there twice before and our meals were good. We do not eat out at nice restaurants often but because it was my 60th birthday we decided the occasion was worth the splurge. Sadly I don't think we will return based on the long dinner preparation time and the quality/price of the risotto. We don't mind paying extra for good food but this was disappointing.

I had booked my rehearsal dinner with Capri when they were a wine bar. Imagine my surprise when I randomly see on Instagram that they have completely rebranded and redesigned the restaurant to be a sports bar. Painted the interior black, changed the menu, even completed the space with some dart boards, a pool table, and beer decor. Not ONCE did they let me know about this change. I felt it was completely warranted that I get my $500 deposit back as this was far from the appropriate vibe for a rehearsal dinner and never was I even given the courtesy of letting me know their restaurant was changing. I have since reached out via email multiple times and left multiple voicemails without reply. I then messaged them on instagram asking for their contact, which they very promptly replied to because they weren't aware who I was. I confirmed the event coordinator was the same woman and email was the same. She has just been ignoring me. I then replied and told them to reply and asked they give me my deposit back and (shocker) they went MIA. Horrible business practices, I bet that if I didn't reach out to them and never saw about this change on Instagram, I would have showed up for my rehearsal dinner to discover this mess. Don't give them a cent of your money, they have plenty more than they deserve from holding my hundreds of dollars hostage :)

There are a ton of amazing vegetarian options on the menu and, since I was from out of town, I was the obnoxious person and proceeded to bug my amazing bartender, Nikki, for her recommendations. I ordered the carrots and parsnips and then also the roasted zucchini from the light fare section of the menu. They were both incredible and wildly different, which you don't often find in vegetarian selections. I wish I would have taken the time to take photos to post, but I gobbled everything up way too quickly before I could even think of taking out my phone. All this being said, this is not a vegetarian restaurant. Back in the days when I ate meat, I would have made different choices and I am 100% sure that I would be equally impressed.. Back to Nikki: my service was incredible. Really knowledgeable and so personable and friendly. I didn't actually want to leave. I was having such a low-key nice time away from my hotel.
