I really wanted to love this spot.....but.....we were greeted and seated quickly. Food came out quickly. His plate was great! My mushroom Swiss burger was okay, the bun was bigger than the patty. I subbed out the fries for fried potatoes, not told there would be an up charge for them. A $14 burger turned into a $16 burger with fried potatoes that were cooked earlier in the day. His meal was $16.66 (that's odd) and then entire bill with tip was $50. So, not worth that..... read more

Great food! I ordered a regular hamburger but received a specialty one - they were making me a new one but I declined, decided it was meant to be for me to be adventurous. The burger had Swiss cheese, bacon and honey. It was excellent! Served with choice of side- I had curly fries. My husband had a large pork tenderloin sandwich and it looked great. Great service and quick. Homemade desserts too. I loved the chocolate cream pie! Hard to decide between white wedding cake and strawberry rhubarb pie. They serve Pepsi products. Went inside to grab a bite while passing through. It was crowded table wise and quite eclectic. Service was great, very friendly. Overall it appeared not the cleanest but the sweet tea was to die for so it was redeemed. (I'm from the south so the sweeter the better.) We ordered chicken tenders and they were hand breaded. That was a treat because I was afraid they would be Tyson's chicken out of a bag. The food was solid ..they had a lot of desserts that I wish I could have tried. Our favorite local Cameron date spot until hubs got the evening shift. Food & service is consistently exceptional. You can tell Robyn loves & appreciates her employees and they her too. Robyn leads from the front, serving alongside her servers and making rounds to each table to ensure satisfaction. Military family we are, we appreciate that type of leadership. This diner isn't cheap, but it's priced appropriately for quality , taste, service. Best catfish I've ever had. Our servers care about their customers so much they remember food and drink faves, ask about family- we used to go every other week. There is a good variety on the menu along with daily specials on the board. Today's lunch special was chicken wings. We stuck to the simple hamburger and fries. The fries were hot, thick, and plentiful. The burger was thick, hot, cooked perfectly and lightly seasoned if at all. Gotta give credit to the kitchen for serving a nice, thick, GARDEN FRESH tomato along with pickles, lettuce, and onion. Bravo, Robyn! Try this nice local cafe when traveling in Northwest Missouri. My husband and I were traveling through and stopped for lunch. He had the Ruben sandwich and I had a fish sandwich. They allow you to substitute a salad for the fries and we both chose the salad. There was no additional charge. The salads were large and fresh. Both had cheese, tomatoes, croutons and onions, so more than just iceberg in a bowl. My husband said his Ruben was terrific. My fish sandwich was a large filet on a toasted bun. It was flaky and flavorful. The prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend this nice cafe. read more

We came on a Friday night. They were busy, but we were able to get seated quickly. The menu shows 2 Friday night specials. But in the restaurant there is a whiteboard with a total of 6 specials. Stopped here mid afternoon on a Tuesday. Ordered carry out over the phone. Simple order of 2 cheeseburgers with fries. The person on the phone said 10 minutes. I walked in 8 minutes later to watch the cooks put the burgers in the to go boxes. Smelled heavenly! Took them down 1 block to the park and we ate them at a picnic table. Perfectly done medium. Patty was sized for the bun but thick. Gooey cheese and the lettuce tomato and pickles were fresh. Hot fries that were coated in something that made the outside nice and crunchy but soft inside. Seriously- the best burger we have had in a long time. We will definitely go back- maybe eat inside once covid restrictions are loosened.
