Stopped in for dinner and drinks Friday night 7/11/2025. Had a great meal, great drinks and an even better server. Chelsea was friendly, smiling and sure seemed to enjoy her job. I usually Door Dash them; the food is always good, hot, and arrives quickly. Their menu has a good variety and they always send a generous portion. They never forget napkins, utensils, and a generous amount of condiments of your choice. If you have questions or need help the staff is always accommodating and friendly. I hear it's a good place to enjoy a nice night out, but I'm a homebody and prefer to enjoy it at home so I'll have to give you hearsay on that. McCorkle's is one of my favorite places to eat in Cameron. read more

We love the pork tenderloin sandwich! It's thick and tender and not overwhelmed by breading.

Typical small town bar and grill. Extention cords and jumbled, tangled cords and wires hanging all over the place (fire hazard?). Gr8 old building with 20 foot ceilings and warm brick walls. But all the clutter and disorganization takes away from the charm of the old building. Enough with the 100's of neon beer signs! Overkill! None of the tables and chairs matched, bar stools were old and needed recovered. Banquet chairs are really tacky. With a little imagination and elbow grease this space could be awesome! BUT WAIT!!! The servers/bartender were super friendly and my meal (rare black and Bleu burger) was outstanding! read more

Great food and atmosphere. The 2 stars are because we waited 30 minutes after we were done eating to get our check and our server was no where in sight. We asked for our check from 2 different servers and they said we had to wait for our server. Our server was outside smoking the entire time. Disappointed that she didn't ask someone else to help cover her tables while she took a break. read more

Brandy waited on us - no, that's not quite right - we waited on her. Waited for 5 minutes, then had to ask if she would take our dinner order, which set the tone for the evening: S L O W, despite being a Wednesday night and not remotely busy. Never received the mushroom appetizer we ordered. Every interaction with Brandy was like we were interrupting her conversations with the other waitresses. When you are off the beaten path, finding good eaats can be dice roll, thank you yelp! This place had some decent reviews so mom and I decided to stop in for dinner on our way back to KC, what a pleasant surprise! I noticed lots of locals stopping by each others tables on the way in or out to catch up on life, it was a very small town feel. The atmosphere is very much bar, pool tables, smoking off the back porch only sort of place. There is another side that looks more family friendly but it wasn't open. Don't expect any creative american or fancy mixed greens salad here, this is the kind of place you can get an old fashioned tenderloin and eat on it for the next few days. The bartender was nice and offered some recommendations. We decided to share the tenderloin and tots and we had PLENTY. The tots were extra crispy and a literal motherload, if there is such a thing. This was a quality meal, nothing fancy, not super healthy, but I didn't feel like I wasted my money in an unfamiliar town on horrible food. We left satisfied, had a few drinks and I was surprised with the ticket, very reasonable. Do yourself a favor if your are cruising I-35 heading to Iowa or south to KC, do not drive thru, detour 5 min off the highway and give this place a try, you won't regret it. read more

Driving thru and stopped for dinner - wow. They roasted the corn beef for the Rueben - no deli meat!. The beef on the French dip was perfectly roasted and the aujus was from the roasted meet, not canned broth. Fries were crisp. Tried this for lunch on a business trip. I had the French dip. My associates had the grilled chicken wrap and open faced tenderloin. Warning! The open faced sandwiches don't automatically come with mashed potatoes. You get one side and if you want the usual mashed potatoes you would normally get with an open faced sandwich you need to order them as your side. They said their meals were good. The side salad was huge and looked very fresh. The ranch dressing was great! My French dip was awful. The beef was more of a pot roast style beef without the flavor and it was dry. The Au Jus was straight grease and the fries were over cooked and also very greasy. Service was ok. Atmosphere was a mix between mid western mom and pop grease and cheese joint and Friday after work bar. Lots of TV's to watch sports and it was clean. read more

I was told this place was good and that made this place even more of a disappointment. The water tasted extremely musty, even the taste of soda syrup couldn't musk. The wings were probably the highlight; they were bone in and had a thick breading. Spicy, but no sauces on them. The salad was closer to warm than it was cold and overdressed with a salty dressing. The breadstick served with it tasted closest to a funnel cake. Save your disappointment and find somewhere else to patronize. read more

I'm not sure why anyone would eat here twice. The food was bland and warm, the service was slow, and the smell of old cigarettes permeated the non smoking section. Once you glanced into the kitchen any hunger you felt immediately disappeared. The black moisture dripping down the walls and food caked floor insured you leave hungry. I can only hope the itchy fellow in the kitchen was not directly involved in food prep. The waitress seemed annoyed and inconvenienced that customers actually came to this nearly empty restaurant. The menu was not only large but outdated with many items no longer available to include the drink supplier. Quality is obviously not important to the manager or owners since it's one of the only places in town but the residents should insist better. Protip: Spicy fried chicken wings are not hot wings. While on our scenic route to Lawrence, KS, we read reviews about their tenderloin. We asked the waitress about it, and she said they were fantastic. My husband ordered it and definitely recommends it. It was so thick! However if you aren't a smoker, you will definitely want to sit on the nonsmoking side. Being from Iowa where you can't smoke in public restaurants/pubs we didn't realize that and would have sat on the other side. read more

Co-workers and I met here to eat one evening after working and it was just what we needed. Nothing too fancy or over the top, but it was like being at home. The food was good and mine was really good. The prices were right and the service was really good. I have no complaints about the food, but the tea was a tad bit too watery. Just made it home from eating here. We had the cheesy potato soup and shared a tenderloin and some jumbo shrimp. The soup was amazing! Tenderloin and shrimp were good, & the service was great. I wouldn't recommend it to someone. The service is awful. Excuse me but the waitress was so rude. I pulled out my ID and handed it to her and told her I want a water and I'll want a drink but let me think of what I want. I asked her if she had a drink menu she is like NO and was like really rude about it, and huffed off to get my water. She came back 15 minutes later (mind they have a total of 3 tables in there) so not busy. And she came and gave me that asked if I knew what I wanted so I told her I what I wanted, she didn't even try to upsell the place to ask if I want top shelf vodka, um whoa what the hell. So she is huffing and puffing off to make my drink, and I had to run to catch her and tell her I'd like top shelf vodka. The drink was awful, ridiculously awful. My mom got a tenderloin that was freezing when it came out. My salad was gross, the lettuce was brown. The waitress never even asked us how our food was. She was just awful, I didn't tip her. I honestly didn't wanna pay for our meal it wasn't satisfying at all. In fact we left half way through, and ate somewhere else. I will never go back .
