I've never been in this area before and the day we went it was in the afternoon and blazing hot! I went with my brother and was surprised that there was soo much parking available. The design of the area was reminiscent of La Mesa Village. It was so lovely. Upon walking in, the color of the door was pretty interesting -- a minty green color. We were welcomed in by cool winds (AC) and one older man and a young woman. They were both kind and gave us time to go through the menu. In addition, they asked us if they could help us out with choosing. Although I already looked at the menu beforehand and had an idea of what I was going to order. I ordered a caramel iced latte, which means under their menu it was a "caramel dream." This caramel wasn't like anything I've had before! It kind of had a smokey flavor to it. I wanted my brother to give me another opinion about it, but he's lactose intolerant. I give this a 8.7/10 rating. The presentation of it was lovely, a drizzle of caramel on top. My brother had a cold brew that had some foam at the top. It was different than other cold brews he had before. He really enjoyed it and said it was the best one ever!! I had some as well and was pretty curious about the beans used, but me being shy I didn't ask. 10/10 said my brother! They have wifi available (password too), ac, a good handful of seatings, and AMAZING choices for drinks! Gonna have to come back to try their fall flavors for sure. I went in an hour before closing the Barista had an angry face but turned out to be very nice. He even let our dog come inside of the shop since it was very chilly outside . my Coffee had cute foam on The ambiance was perfect music not too loud and not too low . Cute coffee place - we were in and out quickly, which worked for us. Includes indoor and outdoor seating though if your plan is to stay a while. Staff is kind and works quickly, no issues with understaffing here. By the time we finished paying our drinks were ready. Aunt Maple latte w oat milk- Not too sweet, nutty flavor from oatmilk and pleasant spice. Their drinks are strong here! Americano - put a splash of oat milk in here to neutralize it. Really pleasant and smooth, with a slight bitter aftertaste but not acrid. Does the job well. Surrounded by lots of bakeries and other places to get a sweet treat. Out of the many coffee shops that my wife and I have visited across Southern California, I think Rob's Brewpoint has to be my favorite. My personal go-to is the Breakfast Club, while my wife prefers the Aunt Maple with hemp milk. You can really taste the quality of the coffee, as everything we've had is nothing short of excellent. I also really like how Rob comes out with unique seasonal flavors on a regular basis. These tend to be just as good as the permanent menu items, and offer some variety. I am so happy I found this shop in El Cajon, because there is a lack of great coffee shops in the area! I was greeted by, who I think is Rob? since he was so knowledgeable about where everything came from! I asked about the Monkey Nitro Cold Brew and I had the assumption that it had bananas in it because of the word "monkey" lol, but he assured me that there wasn't and it was just the name of the person who came up with the brew! I tried out the nitro monkey and it was so incredibly smooth!! I was so impressed and pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it! I came here to work for about an hour before I had to run off again, but it was a nice space to work in. Decent amount of tables. Parking was fairly easy for a weekday since the main street was not too busy, but I can see that it can get pretty packed in the area since there are restaurants and other shops on the same street. As soon as I walked in, the workers energy shifted. The workers did not greet me at all. And when I was looking confused at the menu, nobody asked if I had any questions or if it was my first time. When placing my order, the older gentleman who took it was very aggressive with the cup while writing my name on it. He visibly looked aggravated. That might sound overly dramatic but you can tell when someone energy is off/rude. After placing my order a couple came in after me and the gentleman's demeanor went into an uplifting positive energy. After getting my drink I thanked the workers and didn't get any response back. The drink was had regular milk which I paid extra for them to change to almond milk and they did not. I will never step foot in this place again. Terrible experience. read more

The best matcha in San Diego!!! I believe Rob was the one at the register and he kindly let me know that they have traditional and non traditional (sweetened) matcha. I get nervous to ask questions when I go places now because it's usually not welcome, but he was so happy to answer and the matcha was SO good! I live in La Mesa and have gone to every coffee shop with matcha near me and it is way too sweet. I'll take the extra 3 minute drive to El Cajon. Especially with such a warm welcome (and easy parking). Highly recommend! read more

Came here for the first time. It's a very nice shop to walk into. The blackboard walls are fun. If I were to have my coffee or tea in-house, I'd want to draw on the wall. Ordered a vanilla latte and iced ube latte. Both with oat milk. Could I taste the ube? I don't think I could. Either there wasn't enough syrup OR it was the overpowering flavor of the oat milk. I'm leaning toward the latter cuz both drinks actually tasted pretty similar. So next I come here, I'll get a different milk alternative. Did I like the drinks? Yes! Just cuz they tasted similar didn't take away from the fact they tasted good. Those drinks were poured to the brim. The latte art was a bonus for my eyes. My first sip of the vanilla latte was the first source of sustenance I had for the day. Rob (or whoever that was who made it), you were absolutely right. I needed it. THANK YOU. We were adventuring in El Cajon with our kids and needed coffee, badly! Decided to stop by this shop and check out what they had to offer. I will say, I almost gave this place 4 stars as the barista at the time seemed a bit aggravated at my request: 4 shots of espresso on ice half decaf (I'm breastfeeding so can't do full caffeine) regardless, she obliged. We also had a bit of a mishap with the cost of the order but it was rectified and I will say the owner was very helpful and kind by email with everything as well. What I will say, the espresso was AMAZING. Again, I drink black coffee so there's no sugars or milks to mask a bad shot. These shots were heaven. I tried my husbands oat milk brown sugar iced latte and it was delicious; just the right amount of sweetness without being overpowering. Would recommend this place! read more

Great coffee spot in downtown El Cajon with arguably the best coffee in East county. Try it for yourself to believe it, they have a selection of flavored lattes and locally roasted coffee beans. I recommend the Beehive or Caramel Dream, and they offer regular or oat milk. There are a few small tables inside and a handful more to sit at outside on the patio. Within walking distance of some good places to eat as well. I think they're kind of perfectionists here, and it shows in the quality of the coffee. There's usually plenty of street parking available, but no public restroom so visit the Mexican restaurant across the street off you need. read more

I always prefer stopping by a local coffee shop, so I did drive a bit out of my way. Rob's was open early and not too far from the freeway (a few blocks). I was greeted by Mars, who was very pleasant and enjoyable to chat with. The coffee was excellent and super hot. I don't order fancy drinks, just a nice cup of black coffee in my own mug to go (they give a discount if you bring your own). Nice little spot located by the El Cajon Courthouse. The establishment itself is clean. As far as selection goes, it didn't seem like there was very much to choose from. Im a huge fan of flavored lattes and specialty drinks. I decided to go with the Caramel Dream and the Hubby got the Rum Candy which had rum extract. The caramel drink tasted more milky with a subtle taste of caramel. I would've probably enjoyed it more with a strong caramel taste. I tried my husband's drink and interestingly it tasted just like there was rum alcohol in there, a unique taste indeed. He enjoyed his. I was super bummed that they didn't have the Ube or Buko Pandan Latte. I would've loved to have tried it. read more

This is a cool coffee spot located at the Mission City Corporation Center. It's outside in a covered kiosk with covered seating scattered about. I ordered the Cafe Viennese Latte hot. It was a great rendition of a Viennese Latte. It was smooth and well balanced between the espresso, cinnamon, and honey, not to mention the steamed milk.
