My family and I visited the Museum of Natural History in LA. Looking for restaurants in the area, we saw that Robowok was just a few blocks away, in walking distance, to the museum. It's located in a small plaza with limited parking. When I saw that there was robot powered woks, I just had to come try this place out! It looked like mini laundry machines and it was so much fun watching the team cook in the woks! All of the food items were already prepared. The concept at Robowok is mini bowls. You can get a variety of items like Kurobuta rice bowl, Chow Mein, Mapo Tofu, Kung Pao Chicken, and more. All of the bowls are reasonably priced too! We ended up ordering the following Sweet Tomato & Eggs Teriyaki Chicken Pineapple Pepper Beef Rice It was great to be able to try out all of the different options at the restaurant. All of the food was awesome, but my favorite was surprisingly the sweet tomato and eggs. It was my first time having a dish like that before and it was so flavorful. We don't have a restaurant like this one in Las Vegas, so it was great to be able to try it out! If I am ever in the area again, I'll have to order the orange chicken and chow mein! read more

I also think they have affordable pricing, $20 covered two people which is quite difficult to find today. The staff are very friendly and the seating is varied. It can get full pretty quickly but most people come and go. The food is served efficiently since it's already cooked, so it is really convenient if you're in a rush. The flavors were great, and it quickly became a spot I wanted to keep supporting. Unfortunately, during my most recent visit, I found a wing bolt/screw in my food. Thankfully it was large enough for me to see before taking a bite, but it left me deeply concerned about how it ended up on my plate in the first place and how the staff didn't notice. When I asked for a manager, the staff seemed unsure of who that was or what steps to take next. They eventually apologized and offered me three free side dishes, which I appreciated, but honestly, I can't bring myself to return. It's hard to trust the kitchen after something like that. I really hope management takes this seriously, because this place has potential, but food safety and communication need major improvement. Guess they really are living up to their name...
