The service, the experience, the value, and oh the food... the meat is simple, but you create the flavour with the additions of sauce or by adding whatever sides you want. Wrapper doesn't seem homemade but I'm okay with that. Guy at the register was nice. Small restaurant that is unpretentious. I would come back if in the area to try their other foods like the potato noodles which they are known for. It took about 10 minutes to boil these dumplings FYI.

The quality of my recent order was significantly poorer than in my previous review. I ordered gyoza…read more(and requested they be pan fried), beef with enoki mushrooms, vegetable tempura, hot and sour soup and spicy tuna rolls. The only decent dish was the tempura ($6) which was hot, had a good variety of mushrooms, broccoli, sweet potatoes and eggplant and provided more than the 6 pieces advertised. The gyoza ($6) were deep fried despite my request and I'd be willing to bet that they were in fact the type that you can purchase frozen already deep fried and then refried when ordered. They were incredibly dry and hard. The beef enoki mushroom dish ($12) tasted stale and heavily coated in the sauce it is served with. I'm guessing to disguise the fact that the beef was turning. The hot and sour soup ($6) was bland, though the tofu had a nice texture and the soup had lots of white mushrooms in it which I liked. The spicy tuna rolls ($6.5) were the most egregious disappointment. They used canned tuna! It was terrible. I won't be going back. For the $40 this meal cost I could have purchased similar items of superior quality at the grocery store for half the price.

There are approximately 5 - dumplings, potstickers, rice, noodles and soup. The dumplings and potstickers offer variations on their fillings (pork, beef, chicken, veg). But like many places with a succinct menu, they do what they offer well. Clearly homemade dough. I preferred the dumplings (steamed...small) to the potstickers (fried...large), and the soup over the noodles but all were good. The three sauces offered weren't soy based and varied in spice level from mild to a bit of a kick. Good value for money. I received 2 soups, noodles, 10 potstickers and 18 dumplings for $40. When I arrived the owner added another 10 potstickers and 10 dumplings to my bag for free as they were about to close. I froze the extras because they are very filling! Definitely give this place a try.

While the food was good, it did not quite live up to the hype. We ordered the roast duck, eggplant pot, and beef noodle soup.
