I had sushi, it was acceptable. My friend had the mango chicken. It was not acceptable - I tried it, it tasted like stink finger.

They do TAKE-OUT ONLY as it's just the Japanese couple that owns the shop that runs everything…read more First of all, my expectations for sushi in Fergus was quite low because I was uncertain about their ability to source fresh fish and their prices are higher than your typical sushi joint in the GTA/Toronto area.... BUT WAS I WRONG. Although the prices were higher, it made up for it with the HUMONGOUS portions and surprisingly fresh fish!! We've tried a variety of their specialty rolls and dinner sets. I'd personally skip out on their tuna sashimi, but everything else we've had so far was delicious! I recommend calling in advance to place your order (usually takes ~20min to prepare). The owner has always been pleasant and packs our order nicely. Definitely our favourite spot to get take-out food in Fergus :)

Who would have known that a sushi spot in Fergus would be one of my all time favourites! Just maybe…read more15-20 minutes drive outside Guelph but to me it's worth the drive out. I typically order the sushi boat: Momo Combo and you can taste the freshness in the sushi pieces and sashimi. This boat typically serves 2 people. Service was a little bit slower the last time I went but usually they're really friendly. Absolutely love having Nicki as our server because she always remembers us and our orders. She works very efficiently and always served us with a smile. As for the interior of the restaurant, it could use a bit of work/renovations to make it feel more like a Japanese restaurant. It kinda gives off a western vibe. They took away some tables/chairs so there's limited seating now. Due to this reason, we sometimes call in to reserve a table during weekends and peak times, and to pre-order our sushi boat before arriving. This way our meal is ready when we arrive and we also don't have to wait for a table!

My first time ever to Grand Bend and they have a Sushi bar! Woo-hoo! Be mindful that it's not AYCE,…read moreand the prices are on the higher side, but the entire experience and meal was wonderful nonetheless. Today, we were over at my boyfriend's sister's trailer in Pinehurst and decided we wanted to do a day trip to Grand Bend, since I have never been (shocking, I know!) and she had recommended this sushi bar, because it's the only one in Grand Bend and the menu looked good. It sits along the strip in a beautiful sized restaurant with indoor, outdoor and patio seating. We opted to go inside because we needed to get the sun off our backs for a bit as it had been a super hot and sunny day. It was around lunchtime, so we seated ourselves and right away was greeted by our waiter who handed us menus and got us some cold water. As previously mentioned, this isn't an All You Can Eat Sushi Bar, and this is the ONLY sushi bar in Grand Bend, so the prices for the rolls, appetizers, salads, etc, are a bit on the expensive side. I had my heart set on anything salmon, it's my favourite, so I ordered the salmon sashimi, philly roll, salmon roll and a seaweed salad. All our meals had promptly came out very quickly and the presentation was beautiful. The philly roll was smoked salmon and the actual salmon roll and salmon sashimi was fresh salmon. It tasted fresh, not fishy at all, and delicious. My boyfriend ordered the jalapeno popper wontons, seaweed salad, and an avocado roll, all of which were delicious. All in all, the food was delicious, the service was fast and friendly, the prices were more on the expensive side, being that Grand Bend is more of a touristy kind of beach town that attracts a lot of people. I would recommend this restaurant and I would come back here myself if I ever venture back to Grand Bend.

Do not go to Midori if you have a foreign accent--you might be accused of stealing…read more As a strong believer in supporting local businesses, I have ordered takeout from Midori regularly, a few times a month, for years. I've never dined in, even after they moved to their new location, and the owners have never seen me since I don't personally pick up the orders. However, I was accused--without any proof--of stealing a toy or item from them. The owners claimed they had served me and insisted it was me based solely on my accent and name. No explanation or argument over the phone changed their mind. I was told that unless there is another person in Grand Bend with the same name and a strong accent, it had to be me. Full stop. So, to all you wonderful contributors to our local economy who happen to have an accent--beware!
