The food is really good here! Pictured is the sushi burrito. Personally, I thought the size of it was too big to eat especially with all the filling inside. I found that when I took a bite, I was missing other parts of the burrito and needed to take multiple bites to get a bite with everything. Portion is huge which is great, can save for leftovers. 3.5/5, I'm not the biggest fan of crab salad in general. However, not pictured is their poke bowls which I ordered all the time!!!! They're so delicious and I craved them all the time. I would always get the salmon poke bowl. My friends and I were obsessed! 5/5 would highly recommend. Best poke place in London. Love this place. It's located on a busy street close to downtown London, near a really good pub, near Urban Outfitters (also one of my favourite clothing stores)! And an easy bus down from Western University. My friends and I have had their Banh Mi, Sushi, sushi burritos, dumplings, avocado salad... it really is the best considering London Ontario doesn't have a lot of this kind of food around. I find it reasonably priced as well. My friend and I were craving sushi so we got their special rolls which came in big sushi boxes, only about $9-$12 each and we received a generous amount, couldn't even finish it in one sitting. We also uber-Eats'd from them a couple times, we messed up our order and called the restaurant, a really nice guy named Jason I believe picked up and changed our order accordingly, making jokes and laughing along with us as well. Being that it's only a few blocks from my work I just had to check it out! Plus ever since I saw one on the food network program: Eat Street, I've been dying to sink my teeth into a Bahn Mi. Not even the 52km gusts of wind could hold me back as I walked eagerly to Picadilly and Richmond. The bright red sign from down the street luring me forward. Though to be honest if you didn't know what it was it could look like a variety store. The menu is small and tight. 3 choices of Vietnamese Bahn Mi, with or without fries. A Bahn Mi fries, or on the Korean side of things Bulgogi, Rice & Spring Rolls. While tempted, since I love Bulgogi I just had to order the pork Bahn Mi. Asking the gentleman the age old debate between friends (is it pronounced BON MY or BON ME), me is the answer he gave. Then the dreaded wait. This is a take-out place make no mistake. With only 4 stools for eating in, a pop fridge that you help yourself to and the minimal menu it's designed for you to grab & go. Every order is made fresh so there is a bit of a wait while they cook the thin cut meat but the wait was worth it. The couple of office drones ahead of me were having theirs to eat in and while I might have been able to sit and enjoy mine as well as we were the only people in there, their conversation about whom they wished to fire at work wasn't right for me to christen my first bite by. So there I was, the large Bahn Mi in hand (and I do mean large. Think 10 inch sub size) and the goal to make it to the park or home to eat. The smell of the richly sauced pork meat and the warmth of the bun in the wax paper was driving me mad. I made it as far back passed the train tracks to the bench structure nestled by the commercial/residential area there before I needed that first bite. Bite one: Oh wow... this is fresh. Taste that lightly pickled cabbage, those cucumbers & carrot. Bite two: Oh my god... what have I been missing....is that a hint of cilantro... Bite three: Bahn Mi were you named after me? This is great, I love the seasoned mayo and tender pork. I did manage to wrap it up and get to Vic park before devouring the rest of it. Delicious, I will definitely be back for more and to check out the Bulgogi. It looks like a hole in the wall but the sandwich & pop cost me under $10 and was super filling so I say give it a try! read more

This place is never open on time. I've tried twice to go there, around 11:30-11:45 and the doors were locked. First time was at 11:30 and the owners said they just got there and it would take an hour to open. The last time it was locked and they just looked at me and continued doing whatever they did. As much as I would like to try this place, I am at the point of giving up on this place. If they can't make it in on time, change your hours to read 12:00-ish instead. read more

This restaurant is the hidden gem of London Ontario. My favourite sandwich from here is the Chicken variety of their sandwich. Hands down the best Korean sandwich that I've ever had. The owner is also very friendly. Service runs fast because traffic is not all that busy. So definitely check this place out if your looking for something with a unique flavour to it! read more

I'm a big fan of banh mi and when I first walked by I was a little disappointed at Banh Mi Express's variety of offerings aside from grilled pork, chicken, and beef. Hungry as I was, I decided to give it a shot with the grilled pork banh mi. What I got was a fairly sized banh mi with the usual pickled veggies, cilantro, and Korean style pork within a lightly toasted bun. The mayo helped bring everything together into a delicious sandwich. Will definitely visit again, and I hope this place sticks around for the long run! read more

I tried this place for the first time today. I had the grilled pork banh mi. It was yummy. The pricing for one banh mi is on the pricer side, about 7.99+tax. My boyfriend was not full after one sandwich. He was pretty disappointed that you had to pay 2 more dollars for more meat. So thankful to finally have a good Banh Mi place in london. It is a simple walk up and order joint with a few bar seats along the walls, but the food is worth it. Portions are generous, and quality is impressive as well. I had the beef Banh Mi and was very impressed, though they did make it fresh for me and I'm not sure if that's routine. My experience though was definitely comparable to Bahn Mi Boys, which was a pleasant surprise. I also got the spring rolls since I was starving, and they were as good as you can expect a spring roll to be. On a side note, they asked if I wanted it spicy which I responded yes to, and did not find it spicy at all. Probably doesn't help that I am a white guy, but if you want a good kick, maybe emphasize the spicy part. There is also ample pay parking at the rear which is a huge plus for Richmond Row. read more

Heard nothing but good things about this place but was honestly disappointed when I went. Went during lunch time when it was not very busy and it the employee did not even approach us. We stood there for 15 minutes and still was not served (he could have at least taken our order or acknowledged we were waiting). Quick lunch w a friend, arrived just after noon and he was about to close to get inventory, which seems strange to me but I've never run a restaurant so what do I know? Anyway he decided to stay open a moment, to make us some sandwiches. Our only Bahn Mi choice was beef (remember, no inventory!) but it was fantastic.
