My father and uncle have had multiple good experiences with Robinett and so we chose to call them when we had an overflowing tub and toilet, and were getting ridiculous recommendations and price quotes from other plumbers. Any time we've tried a different plumber, we end up getting ridiculous quotes for doing more than what we needed. Curtis came and quoted us prices that were WAY more reasonable and he only advised doing what was necessary. We didn't feel oversold with him. He fixed our issue at home in no time and it's been fine - going on two years now. He also gives good advice about maintaining clean pipes on our own. More recently we've had issues with clogged sinks at our new business and Curtis fixed the issues in a timely manner. The only downside is that he doesn't work on the weekends and because he's only one guy, you may need to wait longer for him to come out than using a big company. But once again, he didn't try to upsell us at our business... just fixed the issues and charged fairly. We will always choose to call Curtis for any plumbing issue. Highly recommend! read more

Curtis and his assistant did an OUTSTANDING job servicing my 70 year-old floor heater today. My wife claimed she smell gas. This is why we called Robinett plumbing, due to their extensive experience with floor heaters. They vacuumed the heater, test ran it and performed a smoke test on the vent stack to ensure there's no leaks. They even layed down tarps to protect my hardwood floors. One of the many reasons I liked Robinette plumbing is, they didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need, such as a new wall thermostat. Mine is like 40 years old...lol. Super efficient, all work, no BS, very fair price. And, it's not the price to consider when hiring any contractor by the hour. It's how quickly they perform the work. In this case the hourly charge was actually cheap although it doesn't sound cheap. Use this rule of thumb when hiring. If the person knows what to do, how to do it and has the tools and supplies, that's a big win. Bonus, the owner does the work. I always look for owner-operators, not desk jockey's. I was a contractor for 50 years so believe me. Many contractors I have used over the years grew to the point that only hires showed up. Robinette is a multigenerational business that's been in the area for years. I wasn't aware of that until I met them fit the first time. They showed up on time, thanked me for meeting them there (an investment property), wore masks and were very polite. I had an old floor furnace that the local gas company tagged as unsafe. They immediately got to work, one person worked from the too of the furnace and one went into the crawl space below. They were able to raise the pilot, secure it and replace an old gas flex hose that had multiple connections. The thermostat also needed to be replaced. They went the extra mile and installed a plate behind the new thermostat to cover any wall exposure due to the difference between the old and new thermostats. They left the apartment clean. After spending well over an hour on the job, their price was very reasonable. I highly recommend Robinette Plumbing and will be using them again in the future. read more

Of all the plumbers that came out saying we needed to remove tiles or go through the wall, Chris and Curtis came out and alleviated our pressure issues without doing any of that. I can't say enough about these guys. Knowledgeable, friendly, professional, affordable. We have a pretty old house, lots of plumbing quirks-- they can fix it all. They take their time looking at the problem with you and discuss options. This time we had a mystery leak. Chris walked through all of our suspects with us, checking them off as we went. "Definitely not the water heater..." etc. While we were investigating mystery leak, we also discussed water polo and lacrosse, high school and coaches. I live in a +100 year old home and phoned Robinett Plumbing this morning to set up an appointment to replace a leaking faucet. First of all, THEY ANSWERED THEIR PHONE. It's a shame that this one little thing is such a big deal these days, but it really is. I was able to set up a same-day appointment with Cris, who then showed up ON TIME. Cris and Curtis took the time to explain to me why I was having a problem with the faucet, they completely repaired the problem, cleaned up after themselves, and took care of my home while working in it. The first time Chris came to my home, he charged me for an hour and a half when he was only in my home for 40 minutes, and the worst part was that the plumbing problem was not properly fixed. That day he said he found another problem and would return. When he returned the next time, he didn't have the necessary equipment for the job, so he went to go get it, and charged me for that time! After he was done, he didn't pick up any of the junk that was clogging the pipes, just left it out in my front yard! I asked him for receipts of the plumbing parts he bought, and I asked him to leave me the old parts, but he neither gave me receipts nor left me my old parts. I have been trying to get a hold of him because the plumbing problem has persisted, and he now doesn't answer my calls. In total, he charged me $750 dollars for about 3 and a half hours worth of work, and my problem is still not fixed. read more
