Jeff from Harry's Rooter and Plumbing *just* left my house and I hopped on yelp immediately so I can write this review bc I am so pleased with the work. I needed a dryer installed so I called the Gas Company to do it. Waited 10 days for my appointment date only for them to arrive and tell me we had hazardous conditions with how our water heater and old dryer were installed. So they turned off our gas and ordered us to fix everything. Being in a bit of a panic over the fact that we would soon have no hot water, I called four - count em - four plumbers and a handyman. One guy I had used before was no longer taking work because he was too busy, according to his voicemail. Another wouldn't come out to my area, which is annoying bc if I search for plumbers near my location, I would expect the results to actually be relevant. The other guy didn't call back till late, and the last plumber was also too busy but referred me to Harry's. God bless that man who referred me to Harry's. Harry (or whoever answered the phone) told me they could assist and because it seemed urgent (they gathered this without me telling them), they'd be there in an hour. I'll also note that unlike many plumbers, each time I called someone answered the phone so I didn't have to leave a voicemail and wait around. Brandon showed up reasonably soon thereafter, gave me a quote, and a general idea of what had to be done. Unfortunately, he didn't have the tools, so the work had to be postponed till he next day. Jeff came back the following day to finish the job. He was knowledgeable on everything that the work involved - which included code requirements, some knowledge of roofing where our water heater would vent out of, and also agreed to install our dryer. Although I'm no home repair expert, I appreciated Jeff walking through the steps he was going to take, our options and potential issues we would come across. He was polite, efficient and skilled. He finished the work, stuck to our original estimate and also gave me a lesson on water heaters. I couldn't have asked for a more professional job to be done. The one thing I wish they would have done was to call me and let me know they were coming in the afternoon and not the morning on the second day, as I waited around for them. But the quality of work and professionalism still earns Harry's (and Jeff) a true five star review. read more

The best of the best. Experienced, trained, common sense, courteous, clean and affordable priced. I have experience working with dozens of plumbers in my property management trade. Needing work for my own home I called several plumbers and fortunately came across Harry's Rooter & Plumbing available with short notice. Usually I can dislodge our drain with a smaller hand held snake but this time the 15' out blockage in the secondary drain would not dislodge. In about ten minutes from arrival the drain was cleared with their typical smaller motorized snake cable. I was impressed how he insisted we run water down the drain as they continued to clear the obstruction area to reduce the chance of quick debris accumulation again. When all done the price was very fair and we are very pleased. I will definitely call upon this firm again for upgrading several faucets, change our hot water heater and other plans for improving our home. Wow, what a disappointing experience. I called to set up an appointment with several common concerns about my plumbing. Instead of the "guy" coming out to my property and making a determination based on facts, he made his "diagnosis" over the phone saying that it would costs thousands. It was as if he didn't want the business. I was fully prepared to pay for the visit and consultation. After this vague conversation over the phone, I'll find a plumber that wants the work. I recently moved into a new house. When I had plumbing issues in the first month it was a little stressful. I had a friend mention Harry's, and I called them. I have used other plumbers, but this ranks as my best experience. The service was excellent. I had the same problem a month later, and there was no charge, because they will warranty their work. (mine was 3 months) For me, I just want to not be taken advantage of. I know nothing about most plumbing, and would be easily taken advantage of. I feel very confident that would not happen with Harry's. It looks like they have other strong ratings. They do good honest business. Talk about unprofessional! We had been satisfied with this company until they completely backed out of a commitment with no notice. They quoted and then committed to doing a big job for us. The day before the job, they called to cancel, saying 2 guys were sick. They said they would call back to reschedule us for after the upcoming holiday. We called and left messages twice to reschedule and never got so much as the courtesy of the return phone call they had promised upon canceling. We had a clogged toilet; tried plunging, tried liquids, and all sorts of weird ass home diys. The toilet was STUCK. So we called Harry's this morning and we were serviced by Bill this afternoon. He detached our toilet, got to the trap, fished out a toy fire truck (we have toddlers), put the toilet back on, and resealed around the toilet; quickly and cleanly with toddlers singing Frozen to him. I called on a Monday afternoon (for a non-emergency), and they schedule an appointment for first thing Wednesday morning (because I was not available on Tuesday). Harry (seriously, I think it was 'the Harry') rang me back at exactly 8 am. Brandon showed up at 830 and had dug a 4ft hole to access my main line, cut the main line, snaked it and patched it in such a way that it no longer required digging all by 1230. All is well. We have a big ficus tree in our front yard and called a few rooter companies, one our neighbor happened to have over and another the prior owner had used to put lining in the sewer line. Long story short, after going with my gut, and not hiring Hero Rooter or Rapid Plumbing, I called Harry's based on Yelp reviews. It turns out, Hero Rooter said we needed 20-30 feet of lining when we did not (Harry's plumbing had exact measurements and a sensor that could tell them exactly where the lining ended), and we didn't need hydrojetting. They used a snake and blades to cut the root ball and everything is fine. I called Harry's because Yelpers said they were "honest". I can vouch for that. I think the guys were named Jarrod and Brandon, both highly recommended. We would hire them again in a second for all of our plumbing and sewage needs. I definitely do my homework, but something told me that the other companies weren't people I could fully trust. I definitely trust Harry's. read more

Since moving into my new rental back in January, I've had to use Harry's twice. Both times, it was quick to get service, and I was completely happy with the results. Them having to come back was nothing they did or did not do, it's my old 1924 houses' plumbing that's the problem. Last time they were here to snake my main line, they even snaked the bathtub again for no charge, as it was under warranty. There is no service call charge unless they fix the problem. Great service and as far as I know, fair prices. Will definitely use them again. read more

Was then contacted by B told he has two guys out sick do it would be later. Surprisingly I was very mellow. Told B all good.... by 5:30pm no call, no show. I called again only top reach a voice-mail stating they were closed until Monday. I left a voice-mail stating what I was told by B. I asked if perhaps we should reschedule? Please call me if so.... We used to have good service from them, but lately it has gone downhill. Most recently, our kitchen faucet broke. They came out, they said that they could replace it so we purchased a new faucet waiting for the serviceman. in addition, we had six other non-emergency items for them to work on. Rather than come out twice they rescheduled it for five days later to do the whole work order. That was fine until this weekend when the faucet pipe burst. We left them a message, but they didn't call back until this morning. (They don't have an after hours: emergency number). When we complained about their lack of response this weekend and that we would need to start looking for an alternate plumber, they canceled the service for tomorrow but didn't tell us they were canceling it until this evening. By that time it was too late to get another plumber out. We are now without a working kitchen sink for almost a week. Not good read more

Really don't enjoy writing this review because my family has used Harry's plumbing for over 10 years on several apartment buildings that we maintain. After receiving a call from a tenant on Saturday morning about water leaking on the floor I immediately came over and discovered a water stain that was from unit above. I called and left a message on Saturday stating my problem and that I would like someone to come out on Monday. At 7am Monday morning I received a call saying they would be out at 11am. I was impress that they arrived 5 min early. We talked about the leak and the plumber said it was definitely a sewer leak. He then call his boss which I think is Jeremy and they spoke about it. He hung up the phone with his boss and said that they couldn't fix it. I was really surprise, I shockingly ask why not and he said it would take too long to fix and they didn't have time because they had other appointments. He started walking back to his truck and I said, I don't understand, I told them exactly that on the phone 2 days ago and the fact that I stayed home from work and wasted my morning waiting for them only to find out that they didn't want to fix it was crazy! I was upset and asked him to call his boss back to state my case and we were good customers I thought of them. He refused to call and drove away. I called his boss and right away sent to voicemail and left a message asking for a call back. This was at 11:15 am and now it's almost 4pm the same day and no call back. The main reason why this is disturbing is they didn't even offer a suggestion of when they could come back or who else to call. I called my old plumber that recently had surgery and is only doing small jobs and he fixed the copper 90 for me. When the guy from Harrys left hit the soggy drywall with a hammer and could easily see the leaking pipe in 2 min. It's as if this plumber didn't want to get dirty? The last time we used them they said the entire toilet was bad and needed replacing after we just replaced last year. A few simple washers or seals was all that needed to be replace. This review is long over due from me...I have used Harry's Rooter for the past few years for jobs ranging to the backed up shower (unfortunately pretty common for my house) to replacing a main sewer pipe. In all cases, they did great work for what I considered fair prices. My only price comparison was from Roto-rooter when I first moved her about 8 years ago. I had a backed up shower and when they came out to clear it, it cost me about $250. One year later, the same issue popped up and a friend who lives in my neighborhood recommended Harry's. Well, they came out (the same day) and charged me around $80 for the same repair. This alone would warrant 4 stars from me, but my wife and I were out of town on our honeymoon two years ago and had friends house sitting for us. Well, Murphy's law reared its ugly head (my apologies to Murphy's mother) and our showers and toilets all backed up. My mother in law knew we had used Harry's and gave the number to my friends. Harry sent out a guy who not only fixed the problem, but when my friends went to pay him, he told my friends to just have us call them when we got back into town. I was so impressed with that simple act of incredible customer service (and example of why I use local business) that my review went from 4 to 5 stars...but did take me a while to write it. I called the company at 7:45 (prior to then their phone systems just said unable to connect at this time, try later) Although it was strange that there was no voicemail I was happy when I got through and they were able to send someone to my home by 8am. They were prompt and he spent about 45 minutes running the snake through my pipes all the way to the street, over and over again. Apparently there was ALOT of grease build up. I've had two other plumbers come out that did a quick job and my sink clogged back up again within 6 months. If I could give zero stars, I would because they didn't show up for the appointment. They told me they'd arrive between 2-3pm. The guy called at 3:20 and said he'd be at my home in 20-30 minutes. I told him I had to pick up my kids but I would for sure be here in 30 minutes. Well 45 minutes later he still wasn't there. I had to run my kid around the corner to his sports so I called the number he called me from earlier and left a message saying I'd be back at 4:15. I get home and there's a card on my door. REALLY UNPROFESSIONAL OUTFIT! At least try to work with the client if you are in the wrong. And giving an ETA then not arriving at that time TWICE IS WRONG!! We called Harry's to cam the mainline and chop the roots. I showed them a video from the last time it was cam'd and the area of concern. They let me know the drop in the pipe was normal for my area. They chopped the roots and gave me maintenance advice. I have found my go-to plumbers. read more

This is the best plumbing company I have ever used. I have been with them for more than 10 years and they always try to walk be through things to try to save me a service call. Today we had them camera a sewer line and do a complete clean out. They went over 150 feet and isolated the area (city property). They marked the cement for me. They also sprayed water on the cement before they started and after to make sure the debris from the clean out did not stain the concrete. They marked the alley, told me what they found, did a complete clean out and the cost is EXTREMELY fair. I had them check all sinks and toilet's while they were there and they found a small adjustment issue with one of the toilets and fixed it no charge. Sometimes you can use a company and they are good once or twice and then they go bad. This company deserves the highest rating possible plus bonus points since I have been with them for over 10 years and they are still extremely ethical and do superior work. Very expensive plumber. I called to try and discuss the last bill for a new garbage disposal they installed on a rental property($263). I was told no way they would adjust the bill even though I own multiple rentals and give them a fair amount of business thru out the year. I wont be calling them in the future. read more

My neighbour recommended his Sprinkler Guy to check out the problem with the leak on my front lawn. He in turn found out the problem was a broken main water supply line and not a sprinkler leak. He recommended I call Harry's Rooter and Plumbing which I did. I am so glad to receive the excellent referral to Harry's Rooter and Plumbing . I spoke with Jeff on the phone in the afternoon. After the phone call, he and Harry arrived at my home. The next day, Brandon and his crew worked on installing a water service line to my house. Everything done on the same day. Work is excellent. I would give them a 6 star. 5 star is not enough. Excellent job and professionalism. They are honest folks with reasonable prices. Their Name and Phone number has been added to my Smartphone.
