He helped me diagnose my food allergies and has been a huge help with any question I've brought him, and he actually listens and remembers his patients. Dr. Charles is also exceptional in that he won't just jump to prescription medicines to fix symptoms; he wants to find the root problem and treat that, instead of symptoms. He will also recommend herbal remedies and dietary changes when he thinks that will work better than prescription drugs, which is rare for western doctors. The whole staff is very kind, and as someone else mentioned, there is never a long wait. My husband and I both recommend Dr. Charles and his nurse practitioner very highly.

During the warranty period which was two years, although Widex, my hearing aid company, told me it should be 3 yrs, I had a problem with my right aid. It was sent to Widex. I got a new aid. Still no positive result. No streaming in my right aid. I renewed my warranty for a year for $500. Still no streaming from my right hearing aid. Then still no streaming on the right. I paid another $350 and got a new right aid. Still no streaming. I called a Widex technician and was told to return with the aid to ENT and call Widex. A technician will solve the problem. The covering audiologist called the Widex technician and the problem was solved. My regular audiologist blamed my iPhone, blamed me, blamed Widex. She never called Widex for assistance. ENT Bayside Flushing is now unwilling to be responsible for the unnecessary costs I incurred. I would therefore strongly recommend you avoid this place. My unnecessary costs of $925 should be refunded to me.

He provided me with informational documents about dust mites and products that would be effective against dust mite allergy without trying to sell me anything. The only negative thing I could think of was that Dr. Menchell did take a longer time than I expected. Being thorough is good, but the process could have been much quicker. However something did not sit right with us so we sought a second opinion from a specialist at NYU the very next day. We were told definitively that there was no fluid behind our son's eardrum. When we asked if it was possible for fluid to disappear within a single day the specialist made it clear that this would be impossible. This raised serious concerns about the accuracy and intent of Dr Blank's diagnosis. What made the situation even more confusing was that despite telling us there was fluid present which could explain the speech delay Dr Blank immediately insisted that we pursue early intervention services anyway. That contradiction left us questioning whether he ever truly believed his own diagnosis. Taken together the experience left us with the strong impression that the initial diagnosis may not have been made in good faith but rather to encourage unnecessary follow up visits. As a parent it is incredibly unsettling to feel that your child's health may not be the top priority. I would strongly advise others to seek a second opinion when dealing with similar situations.
