At my age appointments at the dentist offices have been a wide array of experiences. I must say Dr. Friedberg DMD has been outstanding. He made me feel comfortable and confident I was in good hands. His staff is welcoming and informative. I am a veteran and have bone loss that caused two implants to lose their grip. The VA referred me to Dr. Friedberg's office for periodontist treatment. Review by Marine Corps veteran I mentioned my background because I see this dentist office outside of the VA, which is my primary care physician. other veterans that have their care through the VA also visit this office. for that reason, I'm leaving this review to assist those veterans. First off the office itself and the doctors are absolutely outstanding and you will not find a better dentist. like anybody else they do get busy and between the VA sometimes it might take extra time for us veterans to see a dentist which is no fault of theirs but mostly because of the VA. we have to get the authorization from the VA to go there to get an inspection done and then they tell the VA which work needs to be done and you have to wait for the VA to authorize it. this process can take a lot of time. has a veteran you need to understand the process so that you are not upset with the dental office for it taking so long but understanding that it's the process that the VA requires. They're also is a problem with veterans getting their medication when it goes to the VA. I had three teeth pulled yesterday and had my son drive me all the way downtown to the VA because it was very important that I got the medication which was pain medication and infection medication which are both very important after having three teeth pulled. even though the documentation was sent before I even left the office, the VA pharmacy somehow could not locate the proper documentation to fulfill my prescription. this would not be the fault of the dental office, but the VA. I did call the office to get them to help me contact the VA Pharmacy to rectify the situation not just for me, but I know this happens with other veterans. so if you are a veteran reading this... this medication is something you need right away and you are going to have the same problems. do not have them send your medication prescription to the VA. have them send it to your local pharmacy and then simply pay and get the receipt and send it to the VA for reimbursement. The only explanation that you need is that the medication is required right away and the VA cannot provide the medication right away so you had to get it from a pharmacy. again, thank you too the dental office of Dr. Friedberg who literally took the time to get me on a three-way call with the VA. Love them! i'm very happy they got this problem resolved. having gone through cancer treatment recently the last thing I need to worry about is getting an infection after having teeth pulled. Every veteran here knows that the VA is a complete failure for veterans. I would believe from here on out that the dental office will now advise you to get your medication at a local pharmacy. that is the right decision. thank you to Dr. Friedberg's office for helping me resolve this issue and I will be getting my medication here in a few hours. read more

I am a veteran and Dr Friedman started my dental implants over a year ago and still hasn't finished it because his staff is totally incompetent and they let my VA authorization run out after one year of not completing his work and he put a collagen implant for my dental work a year ago and I have bone fragments that are still there and he has done nothing about it and he still hasn't finished the work. I'm still waiting on my implants and a bridge. He have a VA representative in his dental office that does not keep up with appointments , does not keep up with the time for the authorization, does not do the paperwork to get the Veterans paid for travel , does not order meds in advance for the V A to pay so that the veteran has to pay out-of-pocket for the medication's and when you call 's dental office and veteran, you have to use a special phone number for VA representative and you get a message saying that you're only allowed to leave one message that his office VA representative never returns the call about . The whole place is totally disorganized and run by a bunch of pimple face teenagers with apparently little or no formal training because they're cheap and hired off the street so he can make more money off the VA patients. Might as well go to the VA and get your dental work because at least you get paid for travel and you don't have to pay out-of-pocket for and at least you can get your dental work done within two years. read more

I had a wonderful experience with Dr Friedberg and his assistants. Consultations and cleaning procedures were top notch. But recently something happened to the billing office - since Nov 2016 insurance claim processing started to take months comparing to less then 1 week before. I am still waiting for reimbursement for my Nov visit (4+ months already). I called several times, the last time was today. The billing lady was quite rude and blamed my insurance company again however I knew the insurance company made several attempts to get proper documents and additional information from Dr. Friedberg's office. Amazing, Amazing, I am from Florida. and was in Houston at the time. and had an emergency when my crown became loose. (On my Front tooth) He fixed it with no trouble. took his time and had extreme confidence that he could fix it. which gave me confidence as well. I came to Dr. Friedberg's office for a 2nd opinion on gum grafting surgery and really thought I had my mind made up to go with the first periodontist that I had visited. After a wonderful consultation, I ended up going with Dr. Friedberg for the surgery. I liked how secure he made me feel by explaining everything very thoroughly and he was very honest about the procedure. The whole office staff have been a pleasure. What was a very scary procedure for me ended up being very little pain and recovery was less than a week. I strongly recommend Dr. Friedberg for anyone who needs gum grafting surgery...I had 18 teeth that had gum recession and my teeth have no more sensitivity and my gums look healthy. Dr. Friedberg is an excellent Periodontist who looks out for the patients' best interest and will never place implants if they may fail for any reason. I was his Dental Hygienist for 2 years before I moved, and sometimes he did not allow implants to be placed due to insufficient bone in the area or the patient being a heavy smoker who was not willing to quit. He looks out for patients to not waste their money if surgeries may fail. He is definitely unselfish and not practicing for just dollars. Dr. Friedberg took any and all measures to keep patients comfortable, including the administration of both local anesthesia and sedation if the patient preferred.
