First off... this review is NOT about the attitude of the people that work at RoadRunner. I have been going to RR for several years, and the people have always been in good spirits and pleasant. So they would get 5 stars for how they interact with their customers! However, after repeated times visiting RR over the last couple of months... I have decided I will no longer be patronizing their establishment. Here is a laundry list of my reasons why: Five of the past six times we have ordered coffee they have not made at least one drink correctly. (Not adding the double shots, not making a decaf coffee - wife is highly sensitive, not adding vanilla to the latte, and EVERY time I brought these to their attention, they stated that they didn't see the requests on the order slip). Twice I have had 10 stars earning me a free coffee, only to not have them not honored being told they forgot to apply the reward to my order - I was told the first time that it was a mistake and that it should be applied to the most expensive drink AUTOMATICALLY, the second time I was told that I should have been given the option to select my free drink during the CC processing - WHAT? I've had several free drinks applied by RR over the past few years and never had to select that I wanted the free drink to be applied. I've called ahead and ordered 10 mins before arriving only to get there, pay for my order, then watch two to three orders placed by others after me get their coffees before mine call in order was even started. Additionally, we have called ahead and ordered our drinks and asked for a Blueberry muffin being told they were out, only to see them on the counter when I arrive to pick up the drinks. I asked if I could buy one, and I was told they were available. Again, the staff are pleasant and friendly, it is the quality of service that has completely gone off the rails. I hope they get things turned around... but guess I won't know. I've given them over three months since I raised my first concerns to them and all that happened there was I got a free drink. A free drink does not make up for the continual issues and problems with service. read more

Stumbled on this little place by accident. Coworkers wanted to eat next door ( Mexican food). I came over to get a coffee, long behold, they make bulletproof coffee. I had to try one. And it was delicious! This place is really cute, very inviting, and the employees are always smiling. read more

My iced dirty chai was SOOO good, and the service was great! The avocado toast was decent, but I think it would be better to have the avocado sliced instead of puréed or mashed. I would definitely go back for the dirty chai though! read more

Stopped here for a nibble around 4pm I had the chicken salad sandwich which was delish. The wife had a sandwich called the Arizona club, it looked like it was put on a croissant roll. It looked amazing. It tasted better. The price was roughly $10 per plate. That price comes with a sandwich and a side. The coffee was on point. Better than Starbucks I must say. The hours are 6am-5pm so they got it covered. read more

Good- prices were great food was tasty. Food presentation still needs some work. Staff was minimal- and very straight to point not very talkative but 2 of them were doing everything including cooking! Ambiance- great for breakfast/lunch. Nothing fancy- just right for an in and out. read more

I am from Seattle and am extremely picky about my coffee and let me tell you, this place is awesome! It's my go to place when I come to AZ and I always look forward to it. I've always enjoyed our Saturday morning runs to get coffee here, but lately, the drive-thru service has been pretty sucky. We don't mind the wait normally, but last week, we placed our order, sat outside the drive-thru window, waited about 5 minutes (it was probably a little longer), and then had them tell us that they decided to shut down the drive thru, and we had to come inside to order our drinks. We kinda sat there confused for a bit, the girl proceeded to tell us that we could just park and come inside, but there will be a wait because there's other people in front of us... hmm. She could have easily just told us to wait for a bit longer and we would have waited for our drinks, like we had the other two times. But nope. This time, made us wait, then told us to park, come inside, and wait some more. I have to point out, we were the only ones in the drive thru. It seemed like the girl just expected us to drop everything and do as she told us to. She looked pretty shocked when we said we'd pass. Service, for myself, is sometimes just as important as the food establishment. And when they make it seem like they're doing YOU a favor, that doesn't sit well with me. The coffee is okay, but man, the service left a bad taste in our mouth. Barista del Barrio is the same distance, but south from us, great service, and we get delicious breakfast burritos there. I want to start by saying I love supporting small businesses and this coffee shop in particular I have given them numerous opportunities! Customer service is crucial to have a successful business people come back and are more inclined to tip when they have a good customer service experience & above all their order is correct, exactly how the customer ordered it because without customers you don't have a successful business! A few days ago I used the drive through to order a coffee that I have ordered here before. I stated I wanted 2 shots espresso coconut milk sugar free vanilla & sugar free raspberry blended. The barista that took my order repeated the order back to me twice missing parts of my drink everytime! As I approached the window she asked if I wanted cream with my coffee, I was confused as to why she had asked me that as I asked her to repeat my order and she repeated it almost correctly but she forgot the coconut milk. When she gave me my coffee it tasted like watered down coffee with a bulk of ice. I couldn't taste raspberry and I'm pretty sure there was no raspberry or coconut milk! I am disappointed that after repeating my order she didn't care enough to get it correct and I was nice and even gave her a tip. I will no longer be supporting this business as I've had other bad experiences. Coffee shops like Starbucks have great customer service & make your drink orders right or they will remake it. I know that shifts can be crazy and life happens with people calling out or whatever. But this morning we sat in the drive through for literally 30 mins, and that was with only 4 cars in front of us. We got 2 medium drinks and a breakfast burrito. We got our stuff and pulled away but when I pulled out the burrito it was ice cold, even the foil it was in was cold. Whoever put it in the bag could not have thought this was okay, but threw it in the bag anyways. Very disappointed, but hope they get their stuff together soon. read more

In an age where we are paying $6 or more for a small mocha you would think the quality would be superb. I cannot say this about RoadRunner. I discovered this place sometime this past summer 2023. My first experience had me over the moon. I thought,"Finally a place that knows how to produce a creamy and good quality mocha in Tucson!" Well that has now changed. Now the mochas come to me tasting almost rancid. Like the syrup is expired. Every single time I order a hot mocha (this is after requesting my mocha to be extra hot), it comes to me barely luke warm. Today this happened to me. It was a cold day and all I wanted was a super hot mocha to warm me up. It took so long in the drive through I didn't have time to wait for them to re-steam it as they offered. I already waited a long time in the drive through, I had to make it to an appointment with my elderly father and I shldn't have to wait longer to re-make something they didn't make right to begin with. I truly think it has to do with whatever barista is working. I've also been to their other drive through location on ruthrauff and same thing. I don't treat myself often to the astronomical prices of mochas anymore but when I do, I want it to be quality. I feel these baristas are not being trained properly. I have given your business so many times to make it right and it just isn't happening. Whether just rushing and not caring or whatever it may be I'm so disappointed and frustrated with it. After years of seeing their advertising for beer and wine, we decided to stop by and check them out. Deer lord, they are atrocious for beer and wine. We asked about wine, but were directed to their beer taps. Ok, fine we'll just have beer. The 1st beer I selected sputtered and had to choose a 2nd. That one didn't even pour anything out. The last one I selected was so foamy that I only got 1/2 a glass. The server apologized because this was her first time pouring beer. Oh and it was 2:45 and they close at 3:00 on a Friday! This is a great place on the northwest side of town. The coffee is great, good food selection and beers on tap. When the weather is nice, there is a great patio. We go here to read, study or bring the dog on the weekends. Definitely check this place out and support local! I would love to see them get some local IPAs on tap though (right now they have Dragoon IPA in cans). read more

I'm new to Arizona from Western Washington. So, I know coffee that isn't Starbucks...that's for the tourists at Pike Place Market. One thing I miss here is the fact that there are no Mom and Pop drive thru coffee kiosks on every corner ..often times there could be four on every corner where I came from. Where am I going with this you ask? Being a coffee snob, I have been searching for good coffee since I moved here. I FOUND IT!! WOO HOO! Thank the Good Lord! Finally! My coffee taste buds are jumping for joy! I ordered a sugar free vanilla soy latte ..iced. perfection! I'm happy they're on Door Dash since I no longer drive. ( and believe me, you don't want me behind the wheel). I will be ordering again and again and again. Thank you Roadrunner for great coffee! Your chicken sandwhich is good too. Chips are crisp too. We've visited this coffee shop a couple of times on late Sunday mornings. We love that it is local. The coffee is great and their food is pretty good also. They did get my mother-in-law's order wrong on both visits, but quickly corrected it on both occasions. They had board games for their patrons to use, and my 3 year old loved it! The staff was friendly, but the drinks and food took a little longer than we expected. Overall we are still pretty satisfied and would definitely recommend. read more

I try to support small businesses but I cannot support this one if they do not stress fast service. People enter the drive thru because they are in a hurry. Your employees should act like it. Why does anyone ever go to Starbucks with locally owned places like this around?!? Seriously. Great customer service with a side of sarcasm. Went here for breakfast this morning since we was in the area and despise commercial chain restaurants. I had a latte and my boyfriend had the Kevlar (their version of bullet brood coffee) which was amazing and frothy. Breakfast sandwiches were quick but fresh and yummy. Even better, the lemon coffee cake. Seriously don't pass that one up. Highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed.. unless you have no sense of humor. read more

I was not expecting much from this place... Maybe 3 stars.... It has been at this location for awhile... We took our 45 pound dog there and sat outside ... Nice clean patio ... Free wifi..... The inside was very clean with lots of comfortable seating... Service was great as well... When they saw that we brought our dog they brought back a dog treat for him..the breakfast sandwich was great for 4 bucks and to my surprise came with fresh cut strawberries !!! One tip... The patio is west facing which means no sun in the morning.... Great in the summer but you may wanna bring another layer if you wish to sit outside the rest of the year!!! read more

Nice little coffee place open at 0500 a.m. weekdays and 0600 a.m. weekends. Makes it easy to get the day started early. Barry, the owner, knows me by name (even though I don't live in Tucson). He and his staff are personable and friendly and I always look forward to my visits. For the lunch crowd, he has some pretty good sandwhiches. If you just want to sit there, drink coffee and chat with your friends, it's a good spot for that as well. Oh, yes, if you're a snow bird and too cheap to have internet access in your winter digs ... . Just bring your laptop. They have wi-fi. Oh yes, the coffee is pretty good too!! read more

I wouldn't consider myself among the coffee house elitist that sit at their laptops typing furiously away at their latest screenplays destined for Hollywood, but I would easily spend an afternoon in Roadrunner Coffee laughing at all the poor saps paying way too much for lesser coffee. Roadrunner has a lot of drink choices. Even if you're not a coffee drinker (side note: congratulations on not having a 9-5 job), there are teas to enjoy. Probably a lot of other stuff too, but I'm boring and stick to the largest iced coffee that they offer. It gets me going, though usually it gets me going right back to Roadrunner for another the next week. But oh well. There's also breakfast and lunch sandwiches and both are dynamite. That's right, they're so good they forced me to use the word dynamite. Even if this doesn't sound inviting to you, check it out because there's so many choices and so much to do while you're sitting around that you'll regret not going here. Don't go in expecting a quick get-in-get-out experience, though. Usually the place has only two staff members working which creates a bit of wait when there's a line inside the store as well as a backed-up drive-thru lane. You shouldn't want to get right out of this place anyway though, because they have puzzles, games, and books to enjoy. Hang out, have some fun, and drink some coffee. read more

SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES!!! I am all for coffee shops that aren't Starbucks.. and this place has some yummy coffee. Of course, the prices are great! I had my coworker pick me up an iced Jittery Javelina... it wasn't anything that knocked my socks off, but I have faith. There were so many reviews that it was people's favorite, plus it's one of their specialties so you have to try it. Someone said it was a perfect "sweetness" level, I disagree. I would have ordered it a little less sweet, but that's okay, I have made note for next time. Also, their pastries are amazing. I got the bear claw. It was delicious, and fresh, and WAY big.
