Terrible with timing. I've been waiting a week to get my vehicle shipped. They literally waited till memorial weekend and want to charge me 200 dollars more than what I originally am supplies yo pay (1550) which they already charge and took and still haven't picked up my vehicle yet. If they don't match the other company I got ahold of on price I'm canceling soon and demanding a refund. I've never had an issue shipping any vehicles through the last company I used. I've been attempting to contact the company for an upcoming pickup. Generally, I've gotten through and they've been very accommodating. Now all of a sudden they don't pick up the phone. I've spent upwards of four hours waiting for someone to answer my call over several days. I've attempted to go through the sales team but was met with rude and unprofessional behavior. When I was asking them a question just trying to get an email that he suggested I use, he transferred me and I sat on hold for a while longer before hanging up and writing these reviews. DO NOT USE!!! I booked with them in March 2024 for a May 22nd pick up. It's now 1 day prior to pickup with no communication from them and still showing "pending" on the app. All was great until i paid them and then i got crickets. 20-30 minute hold times when you try to call. I called another carrier and within "2 hours" he had me scheduled for a next day pick up. Booked with "Kevin" who was rude and condescending, like I was doing him a favor by booking with them. Lack of communication, lack of follow thru. Buyer beware! read more

Possible the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Pity I can't give negative stars. I had purchased a couple of VW Bugs in California, and called for transfer to Phoenix. Their salesman was great - responsive, enthusiastic, competent. I got 5 phone calls and at least 8 email followups. That lasted right up until I made my deposit. Then my sales rep, "Sean Dillon" disappeared. No one at the office could provide any information about scheduling, routing, or dispatch. Everything is farmed out to third-party subcontractors. Pickup was scheduled for "Wed. afternoon or Thurs. morning." As of 7pm on Thursday, no one knew where the truck was. Finally arrived at 2pm on Friday. The seller had waited for 2+ days at this point, with no info from Roadrunner at all. After repeated (9+) calls by me, (and the seller of the cars) we finally got the cars loaded. By this time, the sales office recognized my phone number and bumped my calls to the 'manager' voicemail - I suspect a trashcan VM for troublesome customers. On the plus side, the driver of the hauler was great, knowledgable, and had nothing whatsoever to do with Roadrunner. He was an independent owner operator, subcontracted by yet another, secondary dispatch company. No one at Roadrunner had been in contact with him personally, despite repeated requests on my part. DON'T USE ROADRUNNER. They promise the moon and deliver rotten green cheese. read more

This is TERRIBLE company, don't let them ship your car. I booked for them to come get it on may 15 and no one ever came. I tried calling multiple times but no one ever answers the phone! They finally found a carrier for my vehicle and the carrier took my money and cancelled the shipment. The quote said $925 and somehow i got charged $1080!!!! This company is a scam. "Unusually high volume of calls" every day, at any time when trying to contact by phone. Their online support help until moments ago has not been reachable for days and now says I'm "fifth in the queue" - which is B.S. The only way you can contact these people after you have booked is when you press "2" for a "new quote." Then, they want to charge a cancellation fee. The original booking agent does not give you all the info - even when you book two months in advance. Moving is stressful enough and then you get some scam company that adds to it. All I can say is DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! read more

DO NOT USE THEM, READ THIS FIRST These guys are shipping Brokers, not the individual that will actually be shipping your vehicle. I utilized these guys last week to move a motorcycle. Initially I was quoted a price, then once you contact them, they increase the price on you. This wasn't what earned them the single star, honestly, that's too high as well. They collect a $100 broker fee, and the driver that moves the item is paid the remaining balance upon delivery. 4 hours after my motorcycle was picked up, these clowns called and attempted to extort an additional $200 from me. Keep in mind, i signed a contract agreeing to pay a set amount (i always recommend screen shotting the contract and print it). They initially stated that they had an issue printing the contract, and asked me to E sign another copy. The new copy, had $200 in additional broker fees. As I disputed this ridiculous attempt to grab more money, the gentleman I had been texting ( that's right, I've done this before, and learned that having a entire conversation in text is way more powerful than a he said she said via phone) said he wouldnt deliver if i didnt pay the additional fee, and then he asked me to look at line 16 in the terms clause. It stated a $300 broker fee must be paid. Im no fool, and i know that their contract is electronic and they modified it. While i am texting my displeasure with this deception, another individual isbtexting me, stating he is in management and i need to pay. I instructed them to call the driver, have him drop my motorcycle back off at its origin and i will file a fraud charge with my credit card company. I had also requested the drivers contact info prior to this attempt to get more money and told them i would call him myself, and have him return the motorcycle to the pick up point, due to the attempted up charge. At this point the two individuals begin tobrealize that they have no leverage any longer and began sending me texts about how they were wrong, my motorcycle will be delivered safely forbthe original contract amount. Im still getting text messages from both numbers, asking if im happy with my delivery. The numbers are 806-391-2854 and the "managers" number is 806-391-2843. I cant imagine how many times these individuals have run this scam, and how much money they have wrongfully extorted from people just trying to get their vehicles moved. Shame on them. I have all of the text messages from both phone numbers and i have copies of both of the contracts, the original that I signed and the contract they tried to force me to sign. Had I signed it, they would have had me over a barrel. Anyway, I am also filing this same complaint with the BBB. Do yourself a favor and use ANY other broker. I booked this company over a week ago and paid full price upon receiving my quote. The pick up was scheduled March 8, 2022 for and it is now passed 9pm. Still not here and no word. I was recently contacted by a road runner employee about a free quote to ship a vehicle. A guy named Eric, ext. 516 When I told him the vehicle was no longer to be shipped but several others would be he hung up on me. I tried to call on their main phone line to get answers to some basic questions but just sat on hold for a half hour. It's difficult to find an auto shipping company that isn't just a sketchy middle man. If my experience is representative of how they do business I would have to recommend to anyone reading this review to pass on road runner. Yes, customer service to get my business was flawless and seamless. I received a courteous call to set the pick up date and other details. Then the driver called saying he would be picking up the car a week early. This was not what we had agreed, but it's Covid time. Ok. Car is supposed to arrive from Miami to LA, Calif. on a Thursday. My daughter, who is receiving the car, doesn't hear from anyone on Thursday. After calling two different numbers, she finally tracked down someone who would speak to her. No one contacted her to tell her that the driver had LOST THE KEY to her car. The person she dealt with was the manager from ABC Trans 331 S Ardmore Ave Los Angeles, Calif 90020. The manager did not go to the Buick dealership to get a new key. He had one made on the cheap. IT DID NOT WORK. My daughter was shown how to RIG the two keys to start the car. Pic is below. The manager's attitude was that he was really put out by having to spend $300+ to replace her key. It's Saturday. The car is sitting in her driveway. She is waiting for a locksmith to come on Monday with a new key and program it. Not a Buick key from the dealership. A key from a locksmith. My daughter told the manager that she thought we should be compensated (reduced price on the $1,221 we paid) for the mess they had created. The manager pulled a $100 bill out of his pocket and said that was the most he could do. Again, he complained about the money HE had to spend. My calls and emails to Roadrunner led to nowhere. The customer service person in the online chat wrote: "I submitted a request with our dispatch department. Once they confirm the information we will contact you via phone with an update." Still waiting for that call. So disgusted and disappointed. I would never again use Roadrunner Auto Transport. EVER. read more

RoadRunner Auto Transport - RIG the car with these two nonBuick keys. - Vehicle Shipping Near Me - Bethpage, New York

Oh where do I start. It started out good in that I got a quick quote and a pleasant person on the phone to book. But once I hung up it was another story. The car was to ship on a Tuesday but on Monday I got a text from the dispatch/company saying they could come on Monday -- perfect. I got things ready and waited for them to arrive at 1:30pm. 1:30pm comes and goes.... at 2pm I text the driver and ask what was going on. The dispatcher said he would reach out to the driver and let me know. About 15 minutes go by, nothing so I decide to call Road Runner (all they do is sub this out). I got ahold of the original person and his demeanor changed, just nasty. Said he would call dispatch and have them call me. Well you guessed it, nothing came through. In the meantime, I had been trying to text the dispatcher of the driver and he finally responded saying that the driver's truck broke down and that Road Runner would reach out to reschedule. Due to my schedule I wasn't able to reschedule. So I called Road Runner, the direct line to my contact went into oblivion. I waited over a 1/2 hour to get a girl on the phone who was downright curt. Fortunately, I was able to get out of the contract, but they put me in a bad spot as I had to find a place to store our car until we could get it transported again. While they have good reviews and tout having many celebrities use them, I would RUN. Find a transport company that you are dealing with direct, not a company that farms it out. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Constant delays on your vehicle arriving on time. Customer service is a joke. Overpriced. Literally use any other company but. ANY SORT OF COMMUNICATION REGARDING DELAYED TRANSPORT TIME WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE. I was told Tuesday. Tuesday came, I called to get an estimate time, considering I have a job and live in an area where I don't know anyone or have anyone to sign for my vehicle. I then was told about the delay and was told Thursday, after I was the one who called initially. Thursday came, never received a phone call. So I call, now I'm told Friday. "Definitely" Friday. Friday came, still no car and no call. So I can and they give me the drivers number. The driver basically straight up said there was no way he was going to make it by today and that was KNOWN. And I wouldn't be getting my car until late Saturday but he would do his best to expedite it if he could. I probably wouldn't of been so upset if I didn't get stuck paying for a rental car 4 extra days. All the while spending $600 more than what I was told my estimate would be for my car to be transported. Pick up the phone and communicate with people. Or offer some sort of restitution for the delay and expenses people have to make when your company lies to them. read more

This is now MY SECOND REVIEW OF THIS COMPANY because the first apparently struck a nerve and they contacted Yelp to have it taken down. I am taking the time to rewrite my original review simply because of the EXTREME AMOUNT OF DISGUST I have for the way I was treated-by multiple representatives (names purposefully omitted to comply with Yelp policies) and believe others deserve to know when a business treats their potential customers this way. Although, seeing by the overall ratings and plethora of commenters, I obviously don't even need to. As advice to any new and potential customer, If you read nothing else of this review, read this: DO NOT CONTACT ROAD RUNNER AUTO TRANSPORTATION OUT OF BETHPAGE,NY!! After performing multiple online quote requests and getting the same price information, I was contacted by the first sales representative who informed me that the actual price would in fact be about $619 MORE than the online quote due to additional factors such as gas, route, specific company who picks up the contract etc. Quite a significant jump! when I asked him where it says on the website or online quote that the original quoted price is subject to change, he responded with, "thats just a general quote. Our site cant account for other things. And I dont know, Ive never done a quote on our website". HMM, FIRST DISCONCERTING STATEMENT. I let him know I would get back to him. Second representative: (same quote and situation with price) After contacting a this representative, I was given an even higher quote of over $700 above the original online quote. I proceeded to ask him as well- where does it say on your site or initial quote...you get it...he replied as follows: REP: thats why we call and follow up. That quote is just a general quote that doesn't account for other factors. ME: I understand that but where does it say that because thats a lot more than quoted. REP: it says it. [extremely rude tone already] ME: can you tell me where? REP: do you want to do business and transport a car or argue with me?! Me: [shocked!] Im a customer asking a question. You're the business! Get me a manager. Rep: reluctant and talking over me- THEN HANGS UP!!!!! After 2 missed calls from that rep, I answer and he gets me a manager! To further solidify this company's horrific treatment of its customers, I ask the manager the same question (only to have her get defensive with me after I tell her this is a bait and switch) SHE HANGS UP ON ME AS WELL!!! WHAT KIND OF IMMATURE PEOPLE DOES THIS COMPANY HAVE WORKING HERE!?!? Lastly, I would just like to note that had ANY of the representatives simply just said, 'you know what, im really not sure where or if it says that, but I apologize for any miscommunication' ALL OF THIS COULD HAVE BEEN RESOLVED. I was not angry nor did I mention anything about the price being outside of expectations, but by the DIRECT TREATMENT OF THE COMPANY'S Sales Representatives, I would NEVER EVER recommend this business and in fact am working on further investigation as to validity and misrepresentations that the company provides in a reasonable manner to their customers. No CUSTOMER SHOULD EVER BE HUNG UP ON, even if you do not agree with what they are asking. Furthermore, a manager should have the maturity and qualifications to handle and resolve such situations in a PROFESSIONAL manner. read more

The absolute worst experience EVER. I received my car with a shattered window. I contacted Roadrunner, submitted my claim, and NOTHING. It's been almost a month. Lousy customer service!!! Hire unreliable sub contractors, over charge and can't deliver.

Absolutely the worst service available. Booked 1 month prior, they slid pick up 1 week. Estimated trip to be $799 and when they called me, they then quoted $1,700. When I said "no" and wait for a lower cost, they said I had to use that price. I said to wait and shop a better price, they then cancelled me. Totally BS business. DO NOT USE THEM. read more

I actually want to give this company negative stars. This company is a fraud. I scheduled a pickup for 8/18/23. No one showed up. I've called them all day everyday during their business hours since 8/18/23 and no answer at all. They're not purposely not answering calls from my number or blocked numbers. They answered one call from a totally different number. And said they don't know why it was delayed ( a week later) and said they will call back. I highly doubt they will call back. They just said they'll call back just to get us off the phone. I will report roadrunner auto transport to the BBB. They operate off the names "roadrunner auto transport" and "a1 auto shipping". Those are just the 2 names I know of. There might be more fake business names they've created to fraud people. All the reviews in google or their website/s are all fake. Road Runner could not have been more unprofessional. They did pick up my car, on a Tuesday in Michigan and told me it would arrive in Florida on Thursday. They didn't say which Thursday. . It took 9vdays to get my car delivered. The carrier wouldn't communicate with Road Runner, wouldn't communicate with me, never knew where my car was, until a day before it was delivered. Making an already stressful time, even more stressful. The owner if the carrier, said the trucks transmission went out in Detriot, and he was sending a truck from Miami to pick up the trailer. Long but factual review of roadrunner auto transport. They are a broker only and subcontract out the actual transport. Each time I called there was hold time, 2-20 minutes, but always answered. Service rep was always pleasant. 3 times a rep promised a call back, only once did one not happen. Communications between RR and actual transport company is laxed. RR does make promises that fall through regarding delivery and pickup dates. The tracking website is useless, it is never truly updated once your assigned a carrier. My car was picked up RR knew it was, I got email stating it was but the tracker was never updated. It was clearly stated several times that there was a hard pickup date of June 30th where this was in a museum display floor. There was staff on hand at the museum to specifically move this car each day. 5 wasted days for staff members waiting for the actual transport company. Below is my schedule of events. 6/21/23 booked, enclosed trailer, Nebraska to Mass, 1929 car from museum in perfect condition sitting on a museum display floor. 6/26/23 Car available for pickup- RR stated they would pick up on the 26th. Museum staff on hand to move the car. 6/26/23 RR auto emailed me carrier canceled 6/27/23 Called and RR stated a new carrier was assigned (tracker reflected this) 6/27/23 During same call, RR stated car would be picked up on 27th. 6/27 - NO SHOW Museum staff on hand to move the car. 6/28/23 NO SHOW - called RR and got name of transport company. RR had no status. Museum staff on hand to move the car. 6/29/23 Called Silk transport to find out if car was picked up as RR had no idea, I was told by Silk, driver had problem with transport truck, stated car would be picked up 6/30 by end of day guaranteed. Museum staff on hand to move the car. 6/30/23 NO SHOW Called Silk transport, they said they would be there 7/1. Museum staff on hand to move the car. 7/1/23 - 7/2/23 no call to confirm, no update on RR tracking 7/3/23 Called RR to verify if car was picked up. They informed me they spoke with the museum and the car was picked up on 7/1. No update on tracker 7/3/23 email received from RR stating car was picked up on 7/1/23, expected arrival 7/5/23 7/5/23 No Delivery, txt from silk driver stating the would be here 7/6. 7/6 Silk driver texted and gave me a time for drop of which they held to. 7/6 Car condition. This car came off of a climate controlled Museum showroom floor waxed and in pristine condition. Car was delivered dirty like it had been through a dust storm. That is not RR's fault but the actual transport company silk transport. The Silk Transport driver was very professional and very courteous to work with but had no idea how it got so filthy. Im not leaving an opinion and Ill let the time line be a guide to others. Rating: Communications 2 stars - tracking system, communications on status, I should never have had to call the actual sub-contracted transport company. Pickup/Delivery 2 stars - hard date set, they blew by the pickup date by 5 days and past the hard pickup date of 1 day. Communications to me via staff 4 stars - they always answered, they were always pleasant, the did call back as promised 2 out of 3 times. Car Delivery 4 stars - car arrived without a scratch on it but was covered in a fine dust all over. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! This has to be the worst company I've ever worked with or hired. I booked Roadrunner to ship my car from Long Island to Los Angeles. Their quote stated pick up on 01/28 with delivery on 02/07. Pickup went as scheduled. There was no communication or any updates regarding transit or delivery while the car was in transit. When my car did not arrive on 02/07, I called Roadrunner on 02/08. This is where the real trouble began. Their shipment tracking tool is fake. Their customer service provides ZERO information other than the online tool which states "Dispatch is waiting to hear back from the carrier." They will not answer their phones when customer service is called--they just hang up on you. The sales team transfers you to the fake customer service line with no assistance. I threatened to file a police report on 02/11 and demanding to speak to a manager after getting jerked around with the same fake answer for 5 days straight. I saved screenshots of all these messages to ensure my terrible experience was well documented. Within an hour, they "finally received an update from the carrier". The updated showed my car was in Ontario, CA, 1.5 hours out from the destination I paid for it to be delivered to. I had a last minute, 24 hour notice, transportation job. After a quick google and phone call that they could make the time frame work I booked through road runner. They were not the cheapest service but were solidly average cost wise. Not sure I would really want the cheapest transporting a car. There was no surprise cost increases through the process and the over all cost was very economical. Running the numbers it was about $50 more the If I had done it myself and it saved me 2 days of road time. The actual shipping company that was booked for my transport was extremely good to work with. From their office staff to the driver I would book them again in a heart beat. My only gripe about the process and it is very small the tracking feature was very slow to update, I didn't get a notification that the car was picked up until 6 hours after the shipping company let me know they had picked it up.
