Four years ago, Pure Water Plumbing & Rooter Inc. replaced a section of my home's sewer pipe and…read moreprovided a 10-year warranty for the work. Approximately two years after the replacement, the sewer line became blocked again. I contacted the company for warranty service, but they claimed the issue was in a different section of the pipe -- not the portion they had replaced -- and therefore refused to take responsibility. This explanation did not make sense to me, since if the entire line was at risk of failure, they should have informed me at the time and addressed the full problem rather than performing only a partial and temporary fix. I then hired another licensed plumbing company to inspect the issue. Their findings were as follows: "The connection between the new ABS pipe installed by Pure Water Plumbing & Rooter and the existing clay pipe failed. The band (a type of coupling) used to connect the two materials deteriorated, allowing roots to grow in and causing a portion of the old pipe to collapse. We will need to cut out about three feet of the damaged area, reconnect the pipes properly, and use appropriate fittings." This indicates that the connection made by Pure Water Plumbing & Rooter failed and directly contributed to additional damage in the sewer line. The issue appears to stem from improper installation or use of inadequate materials during their original repair. As a result, I now have to pay another plumbing company to repair both ends of the section that Pure Water Plumbing & Rooter had replaced -- even though their work was supposed to be covered by a 10-year warranty.

Guillermo came out on very short notice -- at 8:00 PM -- and worked tirelessly for almost two hours. He cleared the main issue within 15 minutes but didn't stop there. He noticed the water flow through the clean-out wasn't as strong as it should be and spent another 1.5 hours making sure everything was truly fixed. Most plumbers would've packed up after clearing the clog, but Guillermo went the extra mile to make sure I wouldn't be calling him back with the same problem months later. Reliable, honest, and incredibly knowledgeable. I'm a customer for life and can't recommend him highly enough!

COMPLETE PROFESSIONALS IN A PRECARIOUS TIME. ((THANK YOU!!!))…read more I've used other plumbers before; however, as I have Sears Home Warranty, they (Sears) have contracts with various companies, and Central Cal Builders, Inc. is affiliated with Sears when it comes to assisting with Sears' Home Warranty clients. I had contacted them, due to two shower heads not turning on to allow water to come out -- I had only been using one, of three, showers and, after more than a year of not using these two, water simply wasn't pouring out. Thus, on the phone, they initially stated it was probably going to be a water line issue (immensely expensive); however, it ended up just being the two filters, in the shower heads, due to mineral build-up. Tech Edwing was the one who came out to my house and he was IMMENSELY GRACIOUS, COURTEOUS, and was WEARING A MASK, given we are currently enduring The Pandemic of COVID19. He also arrived 35-minutes ahead of the scheduled time which was SOOOO AWESOME!!! As we all know, a bit too well, most service companies don't have their techs show up early (especially!), or on-time, as they normally appear towards the end of the stated time frame. Additionally, Edwing was TREMENDOUSLY KIND to my elderly mother. He was a terrific reflection of the quality Central Cal Builders provides their clients. Thank you for the help today, during this precarious time!

Wouldn't have believe it unless I experienced it!…read more I happed to be a plumber by trade and purchased a home that came with a home warranty. I found a leak that would be some work to fix and have lots of other projects going on so I figured, why not have someone else fix...... Here is the summary of events: Muddy soil that starts directly underneath main plumbing stack of house that 90s out to front yard. No wet soil uphill and lots of mud downhill. I get this company assigned to me from home warrant. First appointment they have is 2.5 weeks out, I wait and they come out. I meet "plumber" upon arrival and explain my findings. I am informed that I need to call a restoration company to dry soil underneath pipe so he can inspect and work. I explain that if we "dry soil" underneath a leaking pipe, it will just get wet again until leak is fixed...... He tried to sell me on a camera inspection of pipe that isn't covered under warranty and I say no, go look at it, it is self explanatory. He hesitantly agrees to go look at issue and I go under home with him. After going under house he informs me that I have a broken sewer main pipe in area I told him about that has been caused by tree roots. I looked at him with amazement and asked him to show me the tree that caused this ( I have no trees at my house). He points to a decorative bush that is small enough to be in an above ground pot and approximately 20 feet from the pipe..... He says it has to be submitted to warranty for repair approval and will probably be denied due to "tree." I had him take a picture of said tree to submit with claim. I get a call from home warranty company and am informed that there was "insufficient access" to affected area and I needed to create a new access so an inspection of area can occur. I don't understand why this is the case but, OK. I was replacing my floors so I go and cut a hole in the middle of my kitchen for them to access. Two weeks go by and nothing from Centra Cal Builders I call them and am informed that the ONE plumber they apparently employ has gone to Mexico for three weeks and there is no other person that is able to help me. I ask to be put on the schedule first thing when he gets back. The day comes and a plumber arrives but not the same guy, a different guy. He is unable to find any leak or moisture under the house. The first guy apparently didn't write anything factual down that could help out plumber #2. I guide him to exactly where the leak is and he concludes that digging is required to fix the problem and apparently they are only above ground plumbers? How can there be a plumber that won't work near moisture/mud directly around the leak and won't work on pipe that is underground? Further, I had to make 10+ phone calls to find out what happened after each step. No communication with updates occurred and whenever I talked with them it was just excuses. I don't know what their angle is on having contracts with home warranty companies and avoiding doing any work.... Maybe they get paid to avoid claims. No apology for wasting 2+ months of my time with no solution at the end of the process other that hire someone else No accountability for having a plumbing company with only one plumber that goes to Mexico for 3 weeks at a time No apology for poor communication If somehow, somewhere, someone agrees to pay you a lot of money to let these people work on your house, pass!
