Vanhousing's estimator showed up on time, asked good questions, wasn't pushy, and seemed to legitimately care about understanding the scope and what we were looking to achieve. Their bid was competitive and I had a good deal of faith in their ability to provide a great experience given what I'd read in other reviews. Vlad and his team ended up having to work through a multitude of challenges in order to deliver the end result that we enjoyed. I received constant professional communication (day, night, weekend) when things weren't going well (outside of their control) and what they were doing to resolve. They thoroughly owned resolving each obstacle instead of pushing it back to me to work out. This involved buying different kinds of paint and performing tests -- I even got a video of the test results to illustrate my options. Its obvious that this company cares a great deal about providing 5 star experiences. Its that additional amount of work that they did which has me so enthusiastic about referring them to anyone needing painting done (commercial or residential.)

At the time, I had done most of the work and just needed some priming in a few small areas, and two coats of paint and that's it. They sold me as if I needed the total package - prep, touch-ups, priming, painting. I found a great other painter that was literally half the price. I gave them 5-star because the guy that came out was nice, and gave their reputation a boost, but at the end of the day, I didn't need full-service. I needed DONE. They should have priced it as-such. Now, their follow-up system won't leave me alone even though the job has been done for a while.

The owner (Charlie), was very responsive on his communications, and follow through to us and his painting crew (Chris and Macario). He listened to our needs and concerns to make sure they were all addressed in the work statement. The bid was reasonable (not too low, not too high), compared to others we had. The entire job took 6 days and the crew was on time, conscientious and friendly. They did a great job making our house look new and beautiful again. They made sure they fixed any minor areas that needed touchup after painting, and made sure all items (blinds, washer/dryer, etc.) were put back, removed all the debris and cleaned up after the work was done. His company has been in business for 38 years and this is the reason why his business is so successful. Thanks, Charlie and team! trish + tony E
