Tried Rizza Pizza for the first time tonight because of all the great reviews. People were right with the pizza, although it's probably not the best I've ever had. Generous toppings and good flavor. My daughter and I ate 3 slices from a medium pizza and a chubby stick and we were full. Chubby Sticks were good, but I think they should give you the sauce heated...it was cold. Restaurant is hidden in a dead shopping center and I've never noticed it there before. Glad I did carry out because the restaurant leaves something to be desired, and if going only on the atmosphere I'd be worried about the food. Update the furnishings and turn on the video games and you may have a great family hang out. Over all, a good place and we'll visit there again. read more

I had a bad experience at Rizza. I waited for 90-min+ for my take out pizza order. There were other parties in a similar state. All of us were annoyed. The young girl taking orders needs training or a new job. Its up to Rizza Pizza to decide that. Somehow when I got home, my pizza was cold and my order was wrong. I was too tired and annoyed to deal with it. We threw our dinner away. That's what I get for being too lazy to cook. read more

Let me just say this. There are a lot of mixed reviews about this place. The food is great but the service is hit or miss. In my opinion the pizza and chubby sticks make this place worth coming back to time and time again. They make their own sauce and use a great blend of cheese. I always order Extra Cheese and pepperoni pizzas. Whether it's one medium, two large, or two party pizzas the quality is always there. It has a small mom and pop feel and because of that sometimes the service is lacking but overall this place is 100% worth it. Try it for yourself. Also, I've driven over 800 miles for this pizza. This place has great pizza. They slam on the cheese. Which we love. Sweet crust and good ingredients. We also had the antipasti salad with peppercinis and it did not disappoint. Shaved cucumbers, fresh lettuce. The price was in par too. We will def be going back. read more

Wack as "F" is all I can say, horrible customer service. I don't know if you are racist or what but I know I looked good and my daughters as well when we walked up in there, first time going in there didn't even know what the Chubbies was called at the time he had an attitude, talking about, "Chubbies, their called Chubbies...how many do you want", and when I got them they were pretty much burnt I will never go back there again asked me if I was paying with cash or card I told him card talking about it's $0.50 do you want to pay with cash I said if I had cash I will pay with cash, my daughters friend went there and let me taste a piece of her Chubbies and it was so good and it smelled delicious and it looked good that is why I went there but the way he treated me and the way those Chubbies looked I will never go back there again I'll find another place that makes Chubbies or I will make my own. Horrible... I tried them for the first time tonight. I had the worst experience trying to talk to the girl taking the order. Yep, she needs training. Strike one. Then the driver got lost and then called me only to keep hanging up in the midst of giving him directions, (this was after giving full directions to the order taker well beforehand). Strike Two... Now, I requested square cut. This didn't seem like a "hard request"...but when I open the pizza box, I see a a pizza cut regular style, accept a smaller circular cut on a greasy mess of an excuse for a pizza. Complete with dried out sad looking hotwings. Strike three! And your out. Not going here again. read more

My friend slipped saying that I'm vegan to the owner and the owner offered to make me a chubby even though it was rush hour. I've never had such a great experience at a pizza place. So I wanted a slice of pizza driving through Upland. When I got to the counter they said they didn't have pizza by the slice but rather Chubby Sticks. I said why not. I'm really glad I did. Rizzas take on cheese-sticks are the best I've ever had that were cooked perfectly. The pizza sauce for dipping was very flavorful as well. Can't wait to try the pizza and the owner Mario really cares about making quality food and is a great guy. After seeing so many great reviews I decided to try this place and I'm happy I did. The pizza was great not too greasy they are generous with the cheese the sauce was tasty! I tried the chubby and that was really good with pepperoni and cheese baked on a French roll it was served with a side of marinara that was so good? I will definitely buy from here again. For the party pizza with 1 topping and 1 chubby was 29.50 not bad.. My card was charged 3x with their new machine my edited review is based on the stress I had to call my bank and dispute charges ugh! As noted by others, the place looks like a dump and is not easy to see, but the pizza is simply the best in the area for thick crust with a great taste and texture. My favorite pizza place, been coming here since 2006 and it never fails to impress. The whole sliced tomatoes on the pizza are wonderful and getting marinara on the side, amazing. They have redone the look of the place recently to make it much more inviting for families to come enjoy eat in dinner. Theres a big screen tv and the staff is friendly. I worked for several really good pizza places in Atlanta, one a Chicago style and one an Italian family restaurant, and both were known to have some of the best pizza in town. Let me tell you Rizza blows them away. By far the best pizza in the entire LA area, the sauce, dough and ingredients are top notch. The service is great, Mario knows all his customers by face if not by name. Not a big place, if you are in a big group you may find it hard to get a seat for the group. No servers, just order at the window and take it to a table, beer on tap at a good price, too. Probably one of my favorite "hole in the wall" places to eat, ever. And you *MUST* try the chubbie sticks. I have yet to meet someone who is not blown away by them. You will be able to eat your normal amount of pizza, plus 2 chubbie sticks, they are that good - they take a little extra time to cook, but are worth the wait. I'd suggest calling ahead and ordering before you get there, as everything is made to order and it takes usually 20 minutes for a pizza, a few more to get "the chubbies". I happily drive over 30 miles to eat here 3-4 times a month. read more

They lost my business for good. The owner is VERY rude, I was asking about a salad and i was asking about some type of dressing and right away he cuts me off saying well you can make it any other way. Ok, well if I'm asking you about some type of dressing that already comes on it how am I supposed to know and why make me feel dumb for no reason. Also went there a previous time and all a sudden their price increased (way before COVID) or they couldn't offer a specific option I was interested in, I can't remember exactly. This guy will definitely make it known to you when he does not want to do something, if you're planning on ordering a bunch of pizzas from there save yourself the trouble and don't. They're not reliable and VERY rude. It's crazy to me I don't think I ever seen someone constantly reject business or throw a fit when they don't want to make an order you're paying them to make?
